Athena It's evening in Kublop Springs and a beautiful sunset has begun to settle on the horizon in the distance, casting a twilight glow on the citizens of the small town that are roaming the streets, enjoying the good weather and gorgeous skies.

The last tramway for the evening is pulling up to the station, and it will likely be carrying at least three colonists - the co deputies, Navi and Cayde, and the private investigator, Vons. Earlier this afternoon, they'd received a transmission from Thaarin, urging them to come into the town at their earliest convenience - he'd discovered that Wiis (the junkyard owner) had potentially very dangerous resource on her hands that she'd been hiding from the Jedi, and was likely in a lot of trouble because of it. The tall blue alien himself was already in town (though he did not specify why) and had recommended they visit Wiis by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

The three of them may have figured to go early - tomorrow morning, the tramway would undergo maintenance, and there'd be no lines running until the late afternoon.

There's no harm in going early anyway, Cayde's training of the Mandalorian Jorn of Bakura would have advanced to meeting at a local dojo belonging to the Disciple of the Whills, for some more 'formal' training, since the colony itself did not have a training arena, and the Temple in the Gorge was still undergoing renovation.

It wouldn't be hard to find an inn to stay in for the night, and both Navi and Cayde had been allotted a special allowance from the Republic for ten nights a month at any lodging in Kublop.
Zetha Rumir There is a large chance that Zetha went and dropped off the blue milk at home, ensured food was delivered, grabbed a biscuit and then snuck out of the house again. This time leaving the junkyard once more. Going back towards the spaceport. It'll be hell for her when Wiis finds out she took the metal, that she told someone, that the Jedi were coming to see her. Then there's the other side...

With the looming doom of Jedi coming, Zetha's appetite is all but gone. She figures she's going to be going to prison for this. Or maybe they'll ship her off to some random planet - Tattooine? - where she'll have to survive on her own with the Sand People. There's no telling what punishment is instilled for harboring....well it doesn't seem like the metal is *illegal* per se....just... unconventional. And Wiis put a target on them by trying to sell it.

Zetha finds a bench to sit on and sits, nibbles on her meal, and tries to not think about her impending demise. And potential murder.
Jorn Jorn will actually be there -early-. He's there with armor and weapons at the ready. While not brandishing any weapons, he is just rolling the shoulders, popping up on his heels. Just making himself limber. Sleep has him feeling spry, actually.
Cayde Alexis     Being in charge had its perks, that's for sure. Free lodging was certainly nice. But Cayde is starting to quickly learn that there were many decisions to be made, even for a small colony. For example, it seemed some of the families at the new colony wanted to send their children to a larger school in Kublop with nicer facilities and more students. However the school didn't seem too keen on the idea of accepting students from out of town for a variety of reasons. Kublop's council seemed to be on their side of course, and now Aklyrr Bend, the 'unofficial' name for the new colony, wants someone on -their- side to help settle the dispute.

Problem is, Cayde knows nothing about going to a normal school. Or how they operate, given he has never attended one. So as the tram comes to a stop, he's bent over a tablet, researching this topic and/or trying to write a message to the superintendent if the Kublop school in question to see if he could maybe...tour or something?

Jorn is early at the dojo, but it seems Cayde is...quite late. But the tram just pulled in, so maybe he's on this one.
Navi "Tell them to move to Kublop Springs, I say. Then the council /can't/ refuse them," Navi suggests, shrugging, as she steps off of the tram beside Cayde. "It's four-to-one odds against that tent city lasting the whole two years, anyway."

"So, where to first?" she asks, looking around the streets surrounding the station. "Should we find your new student or look for an inn? I think it's better manners to go to the dojo first, but mostly I want to get this whole thing settled as soon as we can."
Athena While Zetha's sitting on her bench, her anxiety eclipsing her ability to enjoy her meal, a maintenance droid comes out and waves a broom at her. "This seating area is designated for the cantina," it drones at her, waving at the cantina she's sitting in front of. "Please relocate."

Well, the convent belonging to the Disciple of the Whills had a little outdoor plaza area with patio umbrellas, perhaps she could sit there.

As Jorn stands there weapons at the ready, a young Tholothian man, clearly one of the Disciples, enters the open air courtyard where the dojo is. He seems mildly surprised to see a Mandalorian, fully armed and in beskar, standing in the dojo looking like he's getting ready to wage war on someone. "...did you make a reservation?" he asks politely.

As Cayde and Navi disembark the tramway, they'll spot the local primary school across the street. It's empty right now, but at least the playground looks like a promising place for fun and relaxation that the children from the colony might enjoy.
Zetha Rumir Zetha jumps up as the droid waves that broom at her and then she walks on, still picking at her measly meal of a biscuit. When she spots the little patio area of that convent she blinks and then ducks over to sit at that area. Maybe the purple-eyed man will see her, take a little more pity on her and just let her enjoy her biscuit in peace. Thoughts about why Thaarin's here and not in the main city, how long it will take for the Jedi to come visit her and Wiis, and who precisely the indigo-eyed man is all fill her head, which at least helps her focus on something other than the Many Ways a Wiis Can Get Away With Murder - coming to a holonovel store near you!
Jorn "I'm here waiting for my instructor," Jorn speaks honestly. Then he inclines his head in greeting toward the Tholothian. "How are you?" he asks, just trying to be cordial. Jorn sees himself as a guest, and so, he's being on the best behavior given the circumstances.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde arches a brow at Navi. Tell them to leave? Wasn't that the last thing the burgeoning town would want? He shakes his head. [Appointment] he signs, at her question of where to first. Since he'd agreed to train with Jorn here today for at least an hour.

And he's already late, so he hurries over to the convent, arriving just as Jorn has to start explaining why he's here to the Guardians. [He is with me] he explains to the concerned young Tholothian.
Navi Navi arcs a brow right back and picks up her pace to stay with Cayde. She wouldn't call the colony 'burgeoning'; 'struggling' would probably be a bit too generous in her mind. "Somehow I don't think those kids are going to ride the tram to and from a school in this town five days a week. Remember how long it took us to get here. So unless it's a boarding school, they'll have to move if they really want to go to the school here. At least the place has a nice playground."

"Besides, just what the frell is an Aklyrr, anyway?" she asks as they approach the dojo. Spying the Tholothian, she looks at his eyes. Are they that familiar shade of indigo?
Athena "And your instructor, he has made a reservation?" The young Tholothian man says. "I assume he'll be arriving soon, I'll ask him myself," he says, nodding at Jorn's inquiry. He does not answer Jorn's question about how he is. He heads for the marble archways that separate the dojo from the miniature outdoor plaza adjacent to the street.

And he'll run into Cayde just as he steps below the archway. Cayde will recognize the young man - 'Crane'. So will Navi. She'll know those indigo eyes right away. He seems mildly amused to see Cayde here, too, but he makes no comment about it. "I see. The Jedi will spar with the Mandalorian? Shall I ensure that he does not try to ... kill you?"

Cayde won't get a chance to answer, before he can reply, the sprinklers for the plants in the courtyard suddenly turn on! Cayde and Navi will get misted rather heavily. And as for Zetha -- well, her measly biscuit meal will probably get soggy, and even sadder.
Zetha Rumir Voices. Familiar ones. At least Navi's because she's now talked to her a few times. So Zetha looks over just in time to see Cayde jogging up with Navi close behind. Though before she can do or say anything the sprinklers begin to go off and her biscuit gets soggy. Sad times.

This is when she stands, finds a trash bin to toss her biscuit into and then shifts to head towards the dojo proper. Once she's likely able to be seen, she raises a hand in greeting. "Hello friends. Fancy seeing you all here..." Yeah. Real subtle there, kid.
Jorn Jorn will incline his head to Cayde, "Hello," and then the questions start to come. A second later those sprinklers come on. The Mandalorian just waits, not really being bothered.

The mandalorian just watchesand waits for people to move about. Suddenly, the twilek is there and Jorn will speak basic. "It's good to not see you sneak about," he says opnely to the woman that's moving about.
Cayde Alexis     Now what is 'Crane' doing here? A brow goes up at him. [You join them] he asks, glancing over at the convent briefly. That would be a bit of good news, at least. A slight nod of greeting is also given toward Zetha, though he doesn't know her well

He nods slightly toward Jorn, and his gaze goes toward the man's belt where the Darksaber is hanging. Hopefully, he has been practicing some on his own, so it was time to show how much progress he'd made. [Hit me] he signs. Or at least try to.
Navi Navi waves casually to Jorn and the Tholothian, whom she instantly recognizes. "Good evening, you two. Hope we didn't keep you waiting long," she says, the last mostly directed at Jorn. "Let's get this thing started."

Unfortunately, nothing came up about automated irrigators when the subject of the dojo was discussed before they left the colony... (o/~ WOMP-WOMP-WOMP-WOOOOOMP~ o/~)

"Ugh!" the Sephi cries as she's suddenly standing in the middle of a heavy and largely horizontal misty rain! "You take me to the /nicest/ places..." she grumbles at Cayde, waving Zetha. "Nice timing. Let's get inside before we drown, okay?"
Athena Had they received Thaarin's message yet? Surely... But neither of the co-deputies have mentioned anything about Wiis, or what she's hiding. So Zetha might as well just let it lie.

The Tholothian man turns his electric indigo eyed gaze upon Jorn again. "Why is the Jedi your instructor?" he asks.

He glances at Navi, but doesn't say anything to her for the moment. That discordant feeling in the Force has quieted some now, it would appear they're less misaligned, now.

Then he steps aside, motioning for everyone to come inside, including Zetha. She'll recognize him. Why, its the young disciple who'd picked up the cortosis on the street and given it back to her!
Zetha Rumir Oh Zetha isn't going to say a THING about it. Though if it's Wiis who's under fire about what she's hiding...will they know that it's Zetha who holds the item? Best to not tug on that chain just yet. Let it rest. Settle.

Disappear maybe?

There's a smile given to the Sephi girl and she nods as they both make their way inside. Though when Zetha pauses long enough to thank whoever it is letting them in, she pauses. Then she gives a shy smile. "Thank you. Again." Is all she offers before shuffling in.

"So. What's going on?" This is spoken to Navi, as Zetha sets eyes on the woman to make that obvious.
Jorn Jorn stares at the signs and he cants his head. "What?"

A nod will go to Navi, "Hello," then he looks back to Cayde. The signs don't need to be super obvious, but the Mandalorian doesn't understand sign. Navi helping with the translation, or at least the intent, is a very good thing. And so, he readies himself.

However, the Tholothian derails the actions for a moment. That question gets answered with another question, "Are you saying you don't trust jedi instructors?" Jorn waits patiently for the answer.
Cayde Alexis     Oh...Cayde had forgotten the Mandalorians probably aren't as familiar with Basic sign as most people in the Republic. He approaches Jorn, and holds out a hand toward him, opening himself up to the Force.

As he does so however, there is a...disturbance on the edge of his senses. Someone nearby was on edge. Very much on edge. A glance goes toward Zetha briefly. It does appear to be the Twi'lek girl, and he has a fair idea what she's nervous about.

Meanwhile, Jorn may or may not understand what the hand is supposed to be for.
Navi "I don't think he understands Basic Signs, Cayde," Navi observes softly as she follows the group inside. "Don't worry, Cayde's telepathic. He can explain things in a sec," she adds to Jorn, not missing Cayde's gesture. Or the look he gives Zetha.

"I suggest we gals find a place to sit," she says to Zetha, moving to join her. "Let's let the boys do their thing. We kind of need to talk anyway."
Athena The Tholothian man gives Zetha a polite bow in greeting back. "It's nice to see you again," he says, "why haven't you gone home yet?"

When Jorn asks if he doesn't trust Jedi instructors, he says, "I may not trust Mandalorian students. After all, they are enemies of the Republic, are they not?"

He watches Cayde offer Jorn a hand, brow arched. He understands it, even if he's never seen Cayde do it before.
Zetha Rumir Zetha flushes to the Tholothian man. "I-I did go home. I just came back out. Wound up having to do more errands." She fibs. Then she looks to Navi and nods, but before they completely walk off, "My name's Zetha." She offers the man before turning to walk along with Navi to find that place to sit.

After a few steps away, Zetha looks to the floor, almost as if watching her feet. "Did you get Thaarin's message?"
Jorn Jorn starts to mimic the jedi hand that goes up. He's not sure if this is part of the exercise or what. The previous lessons did involve following motions after.

A nod comes from Jorn as Navi explains everything. About how Cayde is a telepath. "Can they get through the helmet?" he asks knowing beskar and the force don't mix. The motions don't stop though.

"Aren't there exceptions to every rule?" Jorn asks back of the republic person that speaks of distrust. Then he gestures to Cayde, "Do you question a Jedi's actions by questioning their decisions? You're welcome to watch, if you want?" that last question may simply to be a jerk.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde deflates slightly when Jorn doesn't quite get it. Reaching into a pocket, he pulls out what appears to be a small plastic square with a simple image of hands touching each other, showing it to him. Then points to the side of his own head and then points to the side of the Mandalorian's helmet. There is a glance toward 'Crane', briefly. -Someone- gets it, right?
Navi "I got it, but it wasn't very specific," Navi replies gently to Zetha as they move to one side, keeping her voice low. "Something about Wiis, a dangerous resource, and that she might be in real trouble with the Republic. Do you know what's going on with any of that?"
Athena The Tholothian man bows again when Zetha offers her name, but he doesn't say what his is.

"Indeed," the Tholothian man says, "and I will. Speaking of trust, I believe he wants you to take his hand."

Eventually, he gets up and goes over to where Zetha and Navi are sitting. "And how may I serve the convent's guests today? Would you like anything to eat, or drink?"
Zetha Rumir There's a slow nod of Zetha's head and then she explains things. About the cortosis - which she STILL has in her pocket - about how she got it from the Chadra Fan what led to everything else. The fact that she found out that Wiis has a lot of debt. It all tumbles out of Zetha who - while speaking strongly enough - has to fight yet another round of tears as she remembers everything. "...and now I'm so lost...I don't know what to believe anymore. Who to trust any longer...." The young Twi'lek ends, her words almost a whisper by then.
Jorn Jorn will reach out and take Cayde's hand. He wiats for a moment just to see what might happen. Honestly, he's expecting this to kick like a horse or something. Still, he will wait to see what happens.
Cayde Alexis     Upon the touch, Jorn will feel something perhaps unlike he's ever felt before. A presence in his mind. Thoughts that aren't his. Emotion, too. But it's a calm feeling. He now has a connection to his new instructor, and there is a notion, like someone is about to say something. However, it's abruptly interrupted by something else far from peaceful. Distress, confusion. Fear. The world she once knew and trusted turned upside down. It's all incredibly disorienting.

But then suddenly he pulls away, and it all stops as he withdraws, frowning.
Navi "Maybe a bit later?" Navi replies to the Tholothian Disciple, offering a small smile that quickly fades. "Right now we need to talk privately. Colony business."

She gently hugs Zetha, tears or no tears, keeping her voice low as she speaks. "You can trust Cayde. And Master Windu. And me, I hope. And Thaarin. He may be a bigger loverboy than I ever expected... and I mean /ever/... but he's absolutely reliable, and one of the most ethical people I have ever met. And Vons. I'm sure he's hiding around here somewhere."

"It sounds like what we need to do most is deal with these bad actors who are threatening Wiis," she continues, still in a low voice. "I've got a feeling they've committed crimes already, so all we really need to know is who they are and where they're hiding."
Athena The Tholothian nods slightly and steps away to give Zetha and Navi some privacy. But even from a distance, it's pretty obvious to see that Zetha's fighting back tears. He comes back over a moment later, and asks, "Is everything alright? Perhaps a walk through the gardens will ease your mind?" he glances over at Navi, nodding ever so slightly at her. She won't need to a verbal invite from him to know that he's inviting her to come along as well.

Navi is right - the private investigator had taken off as soon as they'd left the tramway. Where he'd gone, he hadn't said, but he had mentioned something about 'having work to do.'
Jorn Jorn's mind is not a calm place, even if he acts that way. First there are images of a woman in armor. Explosions and chaos follow her. There are images of her standing beside him and twice as many visions of her betraying, harming, or otherwise, hurting him.

The are images of others. Most coming after him. Someone boarding a ship throwing out accusations that are felt as false. In the core of Jorn's being there are false. Days of exhaustion and being hunted, being betrayed by others. At the center of it all, there are images of several clan symbols, all look like they belong on a stone mural, with cracks separating each symbol. Jorn's gloved hands try to bring the symbols together. He's unsure if they will hold or not. Still, he keeps trying.

Jorn's place shouldn't be witnessed by others until a few months from now. It's bound to be a calmer place.
Zetha Rumir Zetha is just exhausted with it all. It was on the back of her mind and then pushed to the front the moment that marauder came to the house. Zetha looks up just as the Tholothian man is coming over to them. She takes a breath, gives a glance to Navi, but then she nods her head. "A walk among the gardens sounds...lovely. Thank you." She'll stand, then hope Navi is coming along, but either way it will be a nice respite among the chaos in her mind.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde finds himself...overwhelmed by all this. Zetha, and Jorn's troubles all at the same time. He had enough of a time with his own. Even after pulling away, he seems to be frozen or something, a vacant expression on his features.
Navi "If you need a minute, don't let me get in the way," Navi says gently to Zetha, off of the Tholothian's invitation. "I'll be here when you're feeling more composed. If you need me for anything, just yell."
Athena The Tholothian man nods and leads Zetha towards the gardens. However, he himself lingers, coming to sit down across from Navi. It would seem like he's about to say something, but then he sees that Cayde appears frozen in the training arena. He frowns, and gets up going over to the young padawan. He waves a hand in front of his face.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde is blinking, but not in any fashion that seems to be in response to his waving.
Navi Navi becomes aware of two things at once. First, Amarik's look at Cayde. Second, the familiar distant look on Cayde's face. Even a waved hand draws no response.

She tries waving her own hand in front of Cayde's eyes, though she doubts it will draw a different response. "Well, /that/ isn't promising... I can't reach him telepathically," she murmurs.
Athena The Tholothian man reaches out to shake Cayde by the shoulder, but suddenly, the Bothan who owns the business Cayde had 'rented' a cruiser from a few weeks ago appears in the doorway. "I saw you come in on the tramway! You owe me some late night cleaning, mister deputy! You're lucky I'm kind enough to not give you a year's worth of clean up duty, after the way you returned my vessel!"

"I better see you on the double. Thought you said you were coming ten minutes ago..." Then he turns to leave, grumbling.

Perhaps his shouting is enough to snap Cayde out of his reverie.
Cayde Alexis     Finally, Cayde moves. But it's somewhat delayed, maybe half a second or so after the Bothan leaves. But he was supposed to finish Jorn's training session today....and the cortosis...he thinks Zetha must have it. On her person, even. He sighs.
Navi Navi looks up as the Bothan makes his entrance, his point, and his exit. "Well, /that's/ gonna throw a hydrospanner in things..." she says softly, off of Cayde's sigh. "Cayde, next time Tenoo gives you the bird? Just take it and move on. Better go see to that particular mess. I'll see if I can at least give Jorn a decent warm-up and a few basics to work on."

She looks to Jorn. "I'm assuming you've been trained in the use of swords?" she asks Jorn softly. "You're probably going to have to unlearn some things about that when you pick up a lightsaber. A blade with no weight and the ability to cut through just about anything requires a different set of senses to use, unless you want to be known as Lefty for the rest of your days. We're going to try to teach you how to use some of those senses."
Cayde Alexis     Cayde arches a brow at Navi. He doesn't seem to know what she's talking about in reference to 'that mess'.
Athena A couple of hours later, after Cayde had to taken his leave to go help the owner of the vehicle rental place clean up after closing, Navi may be filling in for him, instructing Jorn about forms and other skills necessary for mastery of the lightsaber.

Zetha might have gotten lost in the hedge maze in the gardens, while Master Pike Windu would have been summoned to Kublop Springs by the Arkanians, who have invited him to see the private mail reception room for their laboratory. Coincidentally, it's across the street from the convent - and he'll likely espy Navi and Jorn in the open air training arena at the dojo not even a block away.
Jorn Jorn just tries to keep it going no matter how good, or bad, he does, Jorn will want to repeat it all. Again. and Again. And again. Maybe he's pushing himself hard. Maybe he's trying to commit it to memory, regular and muscle. As his thought becomes singular, the blade would be later were it out. Sadly, it's probably not.
Pike Windu     Pike pushes his hood back as the Jedi hears familiar hums dancing in the air.
Zetha Rumir Getting lost in the hedge maze is likely the least of Zetha's worries right now. Navi now knows what's bothering Zetha, and why Thaarin sent a likely slightly cryptic message about needing to go see Wiis about stuff. So being lost is giving her some time to sort of reflect, think, and try to ease her own worries. Who could remain worried about things outside of her control when they're lost among green shrubbaries.
Cayde Alexis     But Cayde is not helping the rental shop owner. Not any more at the moment. Instead, he's looking for Zetha in the hedge maze. Clearly, she was quite upset, and he has a fair idea what about.
Navi "Remember, you should feel the flow of the Force through your mind and body... it's about more than muscle, bone, and technique," Navi explains softly, demonstrating a few slow maneuvers with her own lightsaber. "Though a lightsaber blade is weightless, if the Force is flowing through you as it should, you will be able to feel exactly where it is at any time. And if you are fighting an enemy, you will also be aware of their position, their weapons... even their intentions," she continues, returning to a ready stance.

"I can teach you techniques, katas, and maneuvers, but without the ability to feel the Force, they are of no value. So the Force must be the most important part of your training," she says softly.
Zetha Rumir Zetha will be found likely right around the corner from where the entrance/exit is. She's just brushing fingers over the green plants and taking in the scents from the other flora that grow in the garden. It's helping. Somewhat.
Athena Maybe Jorn will find Navi's instruction abstract. Maybe it will start to make sense now, he may remember the youngling who'd said the kyber crystal in the blade is alive, and can feel.

Just as Pike hears the familiar hum of sabers in the air, he'll be approached by the Arkanians. "Ah, Master Windu," Vaneya greets. "We were hoping you'd arrive soon. If you don't have any other urgent matters to attend to...we'd love to show you some of the samples that just got in this morning."

Zetha may be simultaneously approached both the Tholothian Disciple and Cayde. The Tholothian will spare Cayde a brief but mildly questioning look, but won't comment. Instead, he'll ask Zetha. "Are you lost?"
Pike Windu     Pike turns towards the Arkanians and smiles. "I am looking forward to it. Lead the way, please."
Jorn Jorn will go through the motions slowly. That's when he responds. "There's a foundling in your midst. Wise beyond their years," he says understanding what she means about feeling the forse. How it moves through you. He imagines that's how the crystals speak. It's through the force somehow. And the force connects the wielder to the crystals. He gets it, understands it, and believe it. However, if anyone asks him "How" or "Why" they will get a blank stare. To him, he doesn't need to understand something to know how it works.

Case in point. Blaster with a full cartridge can hold several upon several rounds. How they go from the ammo to the project that comes out of the barrel he, well, Jorn does know that. It's very detailed and complicated. A lot of parts are involved. Though many don't need to know that to understand point, shoot, and hope you hit the target.

"How do you read your opposition like that? You make it sound borderline clarevoyant."
Cayde Alexis     Cayde approaches Zetha and puts a hand on her shoulder (if she'll let him, that is). He tries reaches into her mind and attempting to soothe her. She shouldn't worry, everything would be all right, because the Jedi would deal with the situation. Whatever it was. He'd heard about a 'dangerous resource', and that Wiis was in trouble. If she was being threatened, they'd deal with the aggressors...
Zetha Rumir Zetha likely feels Cayde's reach into her mind before he touches her shoulder. She'll turn to him and then offers him a kind smile before giving him a nod. Though she doesn't get a chance to say anything before she also notices the Disciple has walked up to her and Cayde as well. Her cheeks flush with color a moment before she gives a nod of her head. "I did get a bit turned around in here, yes..."

Of course, even with Cayde trying to ease Zetha's mind, the Twi'lek will look to the young padawan once more and offers, "Do you want more context on what's going on with myself and Wiis?" And then, "Also, aren't you supposed to be training someone right now?"
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods to Zetha's question, glad for the offer. It was always better if they volunteered. [Please tell me...I will help] he promises. The questioning look from the Tholothian continues to go ignored or unnoticed for now.
Navi "I'd love to know more about that foundling once we've covered the basics," Navi replies softly, entinguishing her own weapon and lowering it to her side. "It /does/ sound clairvoyant. And in a way, it is. There are Jedi Masters who could tell you about just how the Force lets you do that, but I'm neither Jedi nor Master, for all that I was a Padawan once. What I /can/ tell you is that the Force can sense your intentions... it can control your actions, but it also obeys your commands. Once you can feel the flow of the Force through you without conscious thought, you must learn to stretch out with your feelings... to feel the flow of the Force around you, between the objects and the lifeforms around you... and between yourself and your fellow sentients. This is the key. That flow between yourself and your fellow sentients can let you sense a threat from a foe's intentions, an attack before it is launched, the gap in a guard stance before it is even assumed. But all that comes with time, practice, and meditation," she explains. "First you must learn how to feel the flow of the Force within you."

"Even more important is to learn to act without emotion, without thought... to open yourself to the will of the Force. The idea is not to be emotionless, but to /rule/ your emotions... not let them rule /you/," she continues. "I have a feeling you already know something about this, but it is much more important with the Force. To act out of anger, fear, or blind aggression is to reject the will of the Force, and to risk embracing the draw of the Dark Side of the Force. The Dark Side is always to be avoided. You may feel you control it, but even that is just the Dark Side deceiving you. It is much like an addiction, really... the more you embrace it, the stronger its hold on you becomes. In the end /it/ will control /you/... and /consume/ you."
Athena "Excellent," Vaneya says, leading Pike towards the plain looking structure across the street from the convent. She takes him into a hallway, and then five doors down, opens the door to a medium sized room full of packages, shelves with varying medical equipment, and empty test tubes. Terrin is standing in the back, bent over a console, but he's not alone. There's a cloaked and hooded figure standing next to him, arms folded...

The Disciple nods. "The exit is this way," he says, bowing slightly and motioning towards the exit of the hedge maze. He falls in step behind Zetha and the young padawan.
Pike Windu     Pike glances around the room. He looks at his host and asks, "what is going on here?"
Jorn "She was a rodian. She told me that the crystals talk and we need to listen to them. Open yourself up to it and hear them talk," he gives a lamense term of what the rodian said to him.

"How can I reach the force? I'm mandalorian. Not a jedi, Jorn has heard talk like that before. To him it seems like the rules might not apply? The force, and talk about it, belong on the lips of sith and jedi.

"I know this lesson. To center yourself. To focus on your surroundings, not on yourself. Anger can cloud you when you need to plan. You need to belogical. The emotions can cloud in these moments. You think with your mind you know how to hunt, trap, how to seek, and how to find. You might see how things connect you didn't see before," Jorn starts recounting some of his lessons from his youth. Things his father taught him. When it counts, sometimes the emotions needed to be dampened. Not quite surpressed, but definitely need to take a back seat. Let logic, and clarity, take over.
Zetha Rumir Zetha takes a slow breath and then begins. "There was a Chadra Fan who came to the junkyard. He was looking for a power coupling for a T-29 drill. I think you might have known that. What no one knew except Wiis until now...is that the Chadra Fan gave me a chunk of metal as a bribe to keep quiet. What I didn't know at the time, that Wiis knew, and I know now...is that the metal is called cartosis." She explains. "The short of the long is. Wiis has been trying to sell it. To buyers both legitimate and not so much. There's threats against her, me, and even Tenoo from various people who have placed offers. Wiis thinks the metal is back in her safe. I actually have it. And while I'm beginning to feel a little better that it's not wholly illegal for me to have this metal...it's caused a lot of problems. And I just want to do the right thing and make the problems go away."
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods at Zetha's story. [Thank you for telling...do not worry] he signs.

He would fix it, with the help of the other Jedi if needed. [Who is threatening] he asks.
Athena Terrin smiles faintly at Pike. "Ah," he says, "Master Windu. I'm glad you could make it."

"This room is our mail reception room. Since it's expensive and complicated to ship all of our samples to the colony, we have them mailed to Kublop." He opens a box and shows Windu several test tubes filled with what looks like tissue from varying alien species. "These are were all kindly donated," He reassures the elderly Jedi. He then gestures the cloaked and hooded figure. "We have... a guest, he'll be staying here in Kublop and ... assisting us from time to time. We can speak more about his involvement... later." he tells Windu.

"I'm sure between the Jedi and their... Mandalorian allies, everything will turn out alright," The Tholothian man reassures Zetha. He turns to a nearby tree full of beautiful blossoms and plucks five of them, offering one to Zetha, and the other to Cayde.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde arches a brow at the flower, but accepts it, then puts it behind one of Zetha's lekku.
Navi "That's interesting... I remember dealing with a precocious Rodian girl on another world while looking for crystals. Maybe my girl and your girl were one and the same," Navi muses thoughtfully. "One more reason I'd like to discuss her later, when we have more time."

She smiles gently. "You don't need to be a Jedi to be able to feel the Force. There are rare children born all over the galaxy, even among your own people, who possess that gift, and need only training and guidance to harness it. If you need to know how to use a lightsaber, you probably have the gift, too. It may be possible to wave a lightsaber around like a stick and manage not to mutilate yourself, and maybe even kill an enemy, but it's difficult and quite dangerous. Only a trained wielder who can use the Force may wield it safely, and to even half its potential."

"Well said. That's a large part of it, but it goes beyond logic versus emotion," she continues. "When you are at peace, your mind clear, you may truly feel the Force with clarity. Meditation helps with this. When you are able to embrace serenity, you will see paths open up to you, both through the Force and in more mundane tasks."
Zetha Rumir Zetha is handed a flower, which she takes with a soft smile and then nods her head. "I feel better about just having the metal on me...but knowing Wiis is safe will be nice as well." She didn't tell Cayde about the debts. Feeling like that might have just been a bit too much and it's not really the point of what's going on right now. More an extension. Feeling that other flower being tucked behind one of her lekku she gives a smile to Cayde. "I don't know. I didn't get a good look at the communicator she's been using..."

As they reach the exit of the hedge maze, Zetha looks between the two men and offers a nod of her head. "Wiis will be very reluctant to open her safe again. To bring everything back out into the open once more. But...it's necessary. I truly appreciate the offer to help. And the fact that I now think I won't be spending time in a cell somewhere..."
Jorn "You may be right," Jorn could see the Ridorian doing that. "She had a knack for them. Not out of the realm of possibility," he admits. Just moving thorugh with motions with Navi.

"So, the Force goes through anyone, regardless of position, station and otherwise," he says just making sure to understand the picture properly.

"I know about the importance of clarity," getting away from a planet trying to hunt him ended up a clear mind. A mind that he savored because it had been too long. "What you speak isn't a lie."
Pike Windu     "I want to assist you in every aspect of your research. Please, tell me more."
Athena The Tholothian man follows Zetha out of the gardens, and back towards the training arena where Jorn and Navi are.

He nods at Zetha's words. "I'm sure the Jedi will ensure Wiis' safety," he says, glancing at the Mandalorian and the Sephi girl and briefly. He pauses, then starts heading for the little plaza where Zetha had been earlier, eating a soggy biscuit. The sprinklers are off now, at least. "Are you still afraid?" he asks her, as he walks.

"Our hope is to leverage the vergence to regenerate organs, and even limbs, for a wide variety of species in the galaxy," Terrin explains, "using these samples. Our guest here himself has donated some tissue and has a background in biology and genetics."

"A pleasure to meet you, Master Windu," the cloaked visitor says. But he does not introduce himself. Instead, he busies himself on the console.
Pike Windu     "A pleasure to meet you too. What is your area of expertise?"
Zetha Rumir Zetha pauses in her steps and considers the question from the Tholothian man. "No. Not in the ways I was before. There's a jest on how Wiis may give me an earful once I go home...if she's discovered I did not put the metal back in her safe. I think she still wants to try and sell it. So I should likely go home and let her know what more I've done..." The young Twi'lek offers this much before she turns to face the Disciple more properly.

"Forgive me, but I have yet to learn your name. I'd like to know how I can address you if I'm ever able to come back here again. The gardens were lovely." She offers this much more with a kind smile.
Navi "I never lie about the Force. And it can. But only if you're born with the gift, the ability to sense the flow of the Force. If you aren't born with the gift, you simply can't feel it," Navi replies, nodding. "And the Force itself flows through every living thing, throughout this galaxy we live in. And probably beyond. And while it may not flow through nonliving things, except the precious lightsaber crystals, it flows around them, and through the gaps they leave they may be sensed. Unlike our ability to see, touch, hear, smell, and taste, the Force allows us to see, hear, and touch well beyond what our own senses can tell us. In that alone it is a powerful ally."

"But it is so much more. In time you will begin to see the possibilities it holds."

She glances up as the Tholothian and Zetha approach, nodding to them.
Jorn "Never said you did. It was an expression like, 'You weren't kidding.'" Then he continues to listen to Navi over matters. Maybe he has the force? Maybe he doesn't? Jorn has question, but he knows there isn't the time to ask them or explore them so deeply.

There's a pause in his motions as they're approached. Jorn inclines his head in greeting to them. No words, just a motion with the helmet on.
Navi "Oh... sorry. I completely misunderstood what you meant," Navi says, blushing faintly and looking back at Zetha and the Tholothian. Oopsie!
Athena The cloaked stranger chuckles. He must have been a young man, by the sound of his voice. "Why, whatever interests me," he says, "Anatomy. Physiology. Xenobiology. What is it to you? I won't get in your way," he says, "I promise." But he still does not turn around and face Windu!

The Tholothian man stops to offer Navi a flower before moving on towards the outdoor plaza. Jorn, however, does not get one.

He smiles briefly at Zetha and makes his way over to a stringed instrument with keys that was somewhat obscured from view by a tree with long, willowy leaves. "You may call me Crane," he says, pressing a few keys on the instrument down softly to make a pretty sound, "and you may come back here anytime."
Pike Windu     Pike frowns at the being's back and sighs as he decides on a different tack. Looking over his shoulder, the Jedi reaches out with the Force. (sotto voce) "Who are you?"
Zetha Rumir Zetha offers a smile and a little wave to Navi. The Twi'lek looks much better from a while ago when she was a crying mess in Navi's arms. There's a glance to Jorn and a nod of greeting given to him but he's quite intimidating to the young woman who's never been off world and never even seen a Mandolorian before the arrival of Jorn and his companions.

Like a lost child, she continues to follow the one who she now knows to call Crane into the outdoor plaza. As he sits at that instrument and plays a pretty chord, Zetha takes a slow breath inward. "I appreciate the offer to come where anytime. I likely should get back home though. Wiis might be going crazy with me not around." Or she might have fallen and can't get up. Or Twozee is in a tiff again. Honestly sometimes Zetha wonders if making plans to leave Wiis behind is really a -good- idea.
Jorn Jorn senses the intimidation and he will take a step back. "I'm the nice one," he says knowing that may not seem like it. It's too bad she didn't see him with the foundlings offworld.

The mandalorian watches Zetha. "If there is one thing I hate about offworlders. They always think Mandalorians are like the boogey man. Even in neutral situations," he admits as Zetha moves off. The words are low, just trying to keep the conversation with Navi.
Navi Navi steps closer to gently hug Zetha. "Please let me know if you or Wiis need any help at all. Especially you. May the Force be with you," she says gently, before releasing the Twi'lek girl. "Safe journey home."

She looks to Jorn, nodding. "The Jedi get that sometimes, too. She's young, and I'm willing to bet she's never met a real Mandalorian before. It doesn't help that half the galaxy thinks your people really are boogeymen. All from a lot of foolish talk," she observes.
Athena The cloaked figures finally turns around, and the Arkanians seem mildly discomfited. When he turns, Pike will be able to see the glint of a beskar gauntlet beneath the cloak. More Mandalorians?

"No need for such dramatics," the young man says. "You may call me Jasper. And you needn't worry about me. I'm just the help." But Pike will be able tell, using his telepathy, that the young man isn't telling him everything!

"You should," the Tholothian man says, although the way he says it sounds less like a statement and more like a question. "You've stayed so long. Why did you tarry? Do you dread seeing Wiis again?" His electric indigo eyes regard her intently, just before he starts playing a nice little melody on the instrument. It's familiar, a traditional folk song the people of Tenoo liked to sing specifically on Life Day.

Jorn might be about to continue his training with Navi, but his commlink suddenly pings. Oh, it's a long range transmission, from Revara, back home...
Pike Windu     Pike nods and turns away towards his host. "What can I do to help?"
Jorn "The Jedi can be scary, but only when you've upset them. And only the Masters," because enough stories have gone on. However, he realizes that a group like this. He looks at them walking off.

Jorn pauses for a moment. He had shut off communication to stay hidden. So, how something got through confuses Jorn. He's afraid that something will ping off a signal and give his location, which is why he hasn't reached out and gone silent.
Zetha Rumir "I dread a lot of things right now. Wiis' wrath...which is really just going to be a lot of yelling and giving me more chores...is actually the least of them right now." For all Zetha knows, Wiis could still be riddled with worry about how Zetha sees her now. That was a very intense moment. Finding out all those little things. Wondering just how they'll pull out of it. Wiis isn't ready for retirement. No where near by the looks of it.

"I came back because I knew the Jedi likely wouldn't take long to get here. I've been home between the time you saw me and now. Now was just telling the Jedi things. That's done. So the next steps is to go back to the junkyard. Probably let Wiis know the Jedi will be by...I'm guessing tomorrow. Maybe the next day." Or whenever they have free time. In the meanwhile, what if Wiis gets a buyer and looks for the metal? So many possibilities. The tune causes her more pause however and she smiles. Though after that pause, she is likely to start heading in the direction of the junkyard.
Navi "You haven't met some of the Jedi Knights," Navi replies to Jorn, with an impish little smile. "When you're ready to learn more, please be sure to find me. Or Cayde."

As Jorn steps further away, she turns to watch 'Crane' and Zetha. "Tell Wiis we asked your assistance with a project in the city," she advises. "She might be less willing to get angry if she knows we needed your presence."
Athena The young man chuckles. "Well, you're eager, aren't you. Very good. Nothing at the moment, but try not to ask too many questions. And don't tell anyone that I'm assisting the Arkanians. I'm not on the Republic's payroll for the colony, but they're in desperate need for my help. For the sake of science, I hope you understand this arrangement," he tells Pike. "Now, how about loading up the samples? The tramway will be up and running by tomorrow afternoon, we want everything carefully packed for transport by then."

At least the commlink doesn't make a sound, or do anything overt that might cause draw Navi's attention...

"I see," the Tholothian man says calmly. When Zetha gets up to leave, the Tholothian man stands and puts the rest of the flowers in one of her pockets. "The Force will be with you," he says, "you need not fear."
Pike Windu     Pike looks around to see what can go where and gets to work.
Jorn Jorn would open up the message just in case it would give some clue about Mandalore. They've been gone for a minute and he wants to know how the planet is. Right now, he isn't sure she could be trusted.
Navi Perhaps sensing Zetha's imminent departure, Navi impulsively hugs her again. "Be safe," she whispers, then releases her and takes a seat on a planter bench to listen to 'Crane's' music.
Zetha Rumir "May the Force be with you all." Zetha says. The words sound weird to her, even as they come out of her own mouth, but she at least knows that it's an accepted thing to say back to the Jedi. The hug from Navi is returned - again - and then she's off and away. Likely making quick work of getting back to the junkyard before it gets too much later.
Athena There are lots and lots of boxes of the samples the Arkanians had mentioned had been donated kindly, by who, he won't know just by looking at the tissue samples in the test tubes.

There is one box, though, he'll notice, that's been sealed suspiciously tight. The rest of the crates have been opened, their test tubes moved to special carrying devices to ensure they don't break or the samples don't get damaged.

Jorn might be surprised (and embarrassed, perhaps) to discover that the transmission isn't even text. Or voice, or anything he might have expected. It's unmistakably a glowing, holographic heart, covered in sparkles. It's utterly tacky, and projected above his commlink for everyone to see if they dare look.

When Zetha returns to the junkyard, she'll find it very quiet. Was Wiis sleeping already? But the light in the living room is still on, so probably not.
Pike Windu     Pike picks up the peculiar box, looking closely and guessing its weight.
Jorn Jorn did not expect it to shine so big and brightly. At least it's nothing scandelous. Still, he looks at it and just speaks low. Not trying to hide what he's saying to anyone.

"I would have killed for this kind of message before everything turned upside down. Killed for it. Now," he sighs and shakes his head. "I don't know if I can trust it. Is she acting like this because it will lower my guard? Her mother has a fierce hold on her. Revara's mother wants to create a power vacuum then place herself at the center. I think she wants to turn me into a weapon she can control." He sighs deeply, "I want peace for my people.

"So, would I still get messages like this after I break away from Mom's plans or hopes?" Jorn that's the part he knows he can't trust. "It doesn't help that another shooter tried flirting with me a little. That makes me wonder the lengths this woman would do." He looks up, "It's not like I put rancor claw powder on me," he keeps staring up before adding. "It's a rumored aphrodisiac. You have to ground up a good chunk of a claw. Not many can confirm this because well, Rancors are big and mean. And people are good raw, better in dipping sauce, in a rancor's mind."

He sighs heavily then turns off the message. "At least it wasn't a nude holostill." Jorn highly doubts that would happen, but there's no telling if Mom has made some outlandish suggestions.
Zetha Rumir Zetha walks up to the house, noting that it's quiet but also that the living room light is still on. She makes quick work to walk through the front door and has a quick glance around - likely ensuring everything is...well. Maybe Wiis spent time putting things back where she wants them. "Wiis? You home?"
Navi Navi stares at the big, sparkly heart that suddenly appears in midair. Maybe that's why she's paying attention when Jorn begins what might be a soliloquiy, or a long discussion of the worst things about his life. For a long few moments she just sits still and listens.

"Peace for your people is a noble goal," she says softly, approaching Jorn to stand close by, yet still giving him a polite measure of personal space. "I'm not sure who this Revara is, but I have a feeling I would not like her mother. Then again, politics always left a bitter taste in my mouth. The word sounds too much like the word 'lies' to my ears."
Athena "I'll take care of that," the cloaked man says, coming and quickly taking the box away from Pike. He then says no more on the subject, and takes the box outside.

'Crane' seems too preoccupied entertaining himself on the instrument to notice the holographic heart that's popped up over Jorn's commlink.

However, a few moments later, he gets up and comes over to Navi, coming to stand by her. "I'm sorry about earlier," he says softly.

There's a loud fwumping sound, and a groan. "I was taking a nap...!" Wiis grumbles.

"But I've got good news. I sold the thing, dear. I worked it all out. I'm going to meet the buyer on Vuundalla. They won't even have to come to Tenoo! As for getting there.. I'll find a way. I've got until tomorrow evening. I packed a suitcase and everything, was so tired I fell asleep on the couch. Anyway... I guess I can't be mad anymore. It all worked out, anyway..."
Jorn "It's not politics. It's something worse," and he will kill the still. His attention looks back to the group. The mandalorian watches everything. "Everyone seems to be leaving," Jorn says quietly as he isn't sure the training will keep going.
Zetha Rumir "Y-you sold it? When? How?" Zetha begins and then she looks down at the floor at her feet before lifting her gaze to Wiis. "You won't come back." The Twi'lek says this. "If you leave and try to actually meet the buyer...who's to say they're not going to just kill you there and pocket it for themselves." There's no more sadness. No more worry. All Zetha has tried to do was make things right, and then she'd work with Wiis to make it better.

"Even if you did make it there, get the credits for it...who's to say you'd come back here? Who's to say you'll not just kriff off to the next place and begin your life anew. Go for another grand adventure... I mean, you certainly didn't have the decency to wait for me to come home so we could talk about it. But it never really was about me to begin with was it? It's all about saving your ass. What's some worthless orphan going to matter when you've got the money and the whole galaxy to retire in..." Then Zetha scoffs and folds her arms across her chest. "Not to mention. You got to -have- the metal to actually sell it. And you don't."
Navi "I may have to ask you about that later. And they do at that," Navi replies softly to Jorn, nodding. She looks to 'Crane' as he approaches her, nodding at his apology. "Forgiven," she replies gently. "But you may have to refresh my memory... there have been a lot of 'earliers' lately."
Cayde Alexis     As Zetha headed home, and 'Crane' wandered off to rejoin Navi and Jorn, Cayde had sort of disappeared in the hedge maze, thinking about what Zetha had told him. If Wiis was in trouble, it was likely someone had been threatening her over the cortosis. Someone who was an enemy of the Jedi. But probably not Mandalorians. Eventually, he determines that the next logical step would be pay Wiis a visit and try to convince her to tell him the identities of those giving her trouble. And barring that, well he'd get the information one way or another.

As he approaches the junkyard, he years some faint yelling that sounds like Zetha coming from inside the makeshift residence. But he does the proper thing at least, and knocks on the door.
Athena 'Crane' turns to Jorn. "I believe you are a good man," he says to him. "Free of the machinations and manipulations of politics. But your friends -- I'm not so sure about. Mandalorians are enemies of the Republic, and there are exceptions, you are likely one. The others, well, only time will tell." He turns back to Navi, his hand closing over hers. "We haven't spoken properly since you returned from the Unknown Regions." He starts leading her back towards the gardens.

"Today," Wiis says, "I--" And then Zetha starts ranting angrily. Her brows crease when Zetha says that she won't come back, and might get killed. "That's -not- true! I'm not stupid, Zetha. I've taken all the necessary precautions. This buyer, they're not criminals," she says, "I made sure of that."

When Zetha starts making accusations, her expression crumples. "Zetha, what are you talking about? I did all of this for -you-. For -us-. So I could get out of debt and help you have a better life. Give you the chance to not just be cooped up on Tenoo, all the time! You said you believed me about it not being about the money," she says, "did you.. did you lie?!" And then Zetha says Wiis doesn't have it. "What.. what are you talking about of course I have it! It's in the safe..." then she trails off. "No. You... you didn't." She stands up. "Zetha what the hell did you do!" she shouts.
Zetha Rumir "And how do you know that the others you were getting offers from aren't going to come after us when they find out the metal is no longer theirs to buy?!" Zetha shouts back and then shakes her head. "I believed you when it seemed like you were going to back off from selling it. When I was telling you that we'd figure something out. When that marauder was giving us options on how to handle it and I decided to go talk to the Jedi like I said I would." She continues. The knock on the door going unnoticed or at least unanswered by either organic person in the house.

Twozee, who only really knows his duties and how to take orders from either Wiis or Zetha, knows to go to the door and answer it when it's being knocked upon. The droid answers the door. "Ah. Cayde. Please come in." Cause...the droid doesn't really know better!

"I pocketed the metal. I did what I had to do! Goddess bless, Wiis. I thought we were going to figure this out together! You packing up and planning on selling it without even talking about it sure doesn't seem like you had good intentions for ME at all!" Zetha shouts, frustrated, confused, and now really -really- worried something is going to go south fast.
Cayde Alexis     [Hello 2Z] Cayde signs to the droid as it opens the door for him. [Thank you] he adds, nodding and heading toward the source of the yelling which happens to be the living area. He walks in just as Zetha reveals that she has the cortosis on her. However he simply stands there and waits for them to finish their...conversation.
Navi "May the Force be with you, Jorn," Navi says toward Jorn's back as the Mandalorian departs. "True, we haven't," she adds to 'Crane', letting him take her hand and lead her toward the gardens. She's begun to have misgivings about him holding her hands, but not enough to draw away. "Thanks for catching Weniscio, and working with Cayde. He means well, and he tries to live up to the Jedi ideals, but his habit of running off to do whatever crosses his mind has made our jobs a lot harder. At least this time it saved the day rather than just loading us down with complications."
Athena "It's going to be fine," Wiis says. "It was going to be fine. I would have gotten in, and out before they even knew. And even if I ran into some trouble, so what?! I'm sure I could have survived, and it's -worth- the risk. Worth the gamble to have a better life!" She shakes her head, wiping her eyes, which are now glossy.

"Now you've ruined everything. I told you I'd figure it out, to just give me time. But you didn't. You ran off and told the Jedi and never explicitly told me you were going to. And then you lied. You TOLD me you put it back in the safe. You didn't even have the decency to tell me what you'd done. Now you're standing here, accusing me of not working it out with you, of me selling it without asking you, when I made it clear that was my plan all along -- you... you're a hypocrite, and a liar. Get out. Get out of my house!" She doesn't even notice Cayde standing there waiting for them to finish their conversation.

"Whatever comes upon us now, is going to be because of you. This is your fault. And you're going to deal with it the way you wanted to. Without -me-." She then goes into her bedroom and slams the door.

<Yes> The Tholothian man says, although Navi will be able to tell he's distracted, and thinking about something else. <You understand, yes? Why I did what I did. I was worried for your safety. I still worry for your safety, some. The witch isn't dead.>
Zetha Rumir As Wiis lays into Zetha, the Twi'lek falters a little. Her facade cracking just a bit. Then the zabrak is off to her room and slamming the door. That makes Zetha jump, and then she spies Cayde just standing there which makes her jump and give a yelp. "Cayde? What-what are you..." Then she just stops, realizing almost right in that moment that she's once again homeless. Abandoned. And this time, Wiis is right.

It's all her own fault.

"Sh-she has a...a buyer.." Zetha says softly, unzipping the pocket which holds the metal and she pulls it free. "Seems as though...she actually fixed it...maybe. I don't know. And she could...she could make the rest of her life better." Zetha then looks towards the front door and back to Cayde. "I think you should go. Cayde. I think...I think you should go and forget you saw this or heard anything." This said as she moves towards Wiis' door, likely intending to slide the metal under it. To return it to Wiis before she leaves.
Cayde Alexis     Before Zetha can finish speaking, Cayde suddenly closes the distance between them and grabs her wrist as she is about to set the metal near the door or push it into Wiis' room. But hopefully not -too- harshly. And he reaches into her mind, but again not with too much force or attempt to control her. Just enough to communicate.

<Don't...she'll get hurt. Let us help...please.>
Navi << You might not believe me, but Mal not being dead is a good thing. The spell the Dark Side wove over her seems to be broken, >> Navi replies, switching to telepathy to match his. << The only bad news is that she still hasn't come home... she believes Cayde will kill her if he sees her. Also, Master Windu and I cured the blaster wound to her face, but she'll likely always have something of a burn scar. So I'm not sure whether to thank you or tell you to kark off. Maybe both. I know you were trying to help. >>
Athena Twozee stands awkwardly off the side, watching Cayde and Zetha silently, unsure of what to say. Zetha will be able to hear Wiis sniffling in her room, still crying. Twozee suddenly then starts cleaning some of the pots in the kitchen, drowning out the sound of Wiis crying.

<If she returns and makes trouble again, he will. You and I both know it. And if he requests my aid I will lend it.> He sighs, placing a hand on his forehead. <She would have killed you, Navi. And there's no guarantee she won't try to, again. You may not even be the only one she tries to harm, either. She could change her mind about Cayde>

<When I said I loved you, I made a vow. And you may not ever understand my love for you, because it is not romantic, platonic, fraternal, or paternal. It is what it is, pure, and raw. I promised myself that I would always protect you, no matter what. You don't have to like it. You may even hate it. But I will not go back on my word.>
Zetha Rumir The sound of Wiis crying hits Zetha's ear at about the same time she hears Cayde in her mind and feels him grab her gently. She blinks, but Cayde had promised to help. Navi seemed invested too. She had been assured the Jedi would assist. Wiis may hate her, but she did this for the good of them both. Or at least that's what she'll tell herself.

"Fine. But then you need to take this. Please. Get it out of this house. I can deal with Wiis...but this needs to go." She places the metal in Cayde's hand. "Please..." One last time before she then shifts to sit on the floor outside Wiis' door. Listening to the woman as she cries, likely to end up sleeping right there to deal with Wiis in the morning.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods and accepts the object of all their current pain. <I will.> He then tries to soothe her again, projecting the idea that everything would be all right. He'd fix this, one way or another. And Wiis? Well, she was like the mother Zetha never had, there was no way she'd just disown her that quickly and permanently. He himself wishes he remembered more about his own mother...

Anyway, he pats her gently on the shoulder one more time before he leaves.
Navi << /I snapped her out of it before you did/, >> Navi retorts. << I found her in the dungeons of that horrible castle and confronted her. If Cayde hadn't gone pelting off trying to kill her, things might've been fine! But she's very attached to him... she even had a raging crush on him, poor girl... and she probably sensed his intentions... and that undid everything I'd accomplished. >>

<< The whole karking thing was just a comic tragedy of errors and communication foul-ups, and I'm sure I'm due a share of the blame for what happened to her somehow. I know you were trying to protect me, so let's just put that part to rest. I've forgiven you already. I've even forgiven Cayde, hard as that was. You don't know Mal like I do, and she's a sweet girl in a horrible spot, even before she bumped into the Dark Side on Tenoo. She's often clueless, but that's because of what happened to her memory. She literally can't remember most of her life, and her gift in the Force is a curse because of it. She has psychometric powers... the ability to experience the history of an object by touching it. But because of her memory, she gets overwhelmed by it, and winds up wandering around lost. The doctor was making good progress with her, but... I don't know. /Something/ happened between her and Cayde, and that's when she got touched by the Dark Side and went Dark Side Witch. I just have a feeling he was involved, somehow. He's got that habit. >>

She gives him a sad look. << I'm sorry if it feels like I'm dumping on you or blaming you. Like I said, I've already forgiven you. I just... I'm trying to work through my own feelings, and this whole mess this damned colony is in, and it's just such a big, steaming mess. Force help us... >>
Athena <Even if you did> the Tholothian man argues <You cannot guarantee that you will be able to again, and make her stay that way permanently. Perhaps him trying to kill her triggered her second personality, perhaps it didn't. Perhaps something, or someone else, will. I pity her as much as you do, but she is too dangerous>

<Besides, if Cayde wants my assistance in ending her, how can I say no? I owe him that much, at least. For what happened to him, and for what happened to Rykard> However, Navi will sense that for some reason, somehow, through some recent discovery, Cayde had become strangely precious to him. Just as precious as she was to him. He would not be able to live with himself if anything happened to either of them.

<I will not act without his request> he says to her. <He deems her not to be a threat for now, so I am letting her be. But if he changes his mind, I will not refuse. I cannot>

Then his expression softens and he brushes a hand against her cheek gently. "I know," he says lovingly, "I know. It's okay. I'm not angry. I'm listening." He stays there a moment, and embraces her. Then he lets go of her, sighing. "You should go look for him. I think he followed Zetha home."
Navi Navi returns his embrace. "I... I know. What we share isn't romantic. Sometimes it's not even /nice/. But it works, somehow. And it's not like we can change it. Not tied together like we are. Thanks for... for being there for us. I know Cayde's a handful."

And then he mentions where Cayde has gone, and she sighs irritably, giving him a brief extra squeeze before releasing him. "And off he goes again... thanks for letting me know. Good night. I'll... I'll go find him," she says, turning and jogging off toward the junkyard.

"And if I find him stuck inside a wreck or in bed with that girl, he's on his own until morning!"
Cayde Alexis     Cayde pockets the chunk of metal, taking his leave of the junkyard. But now, what should he do with it? Well, he'll ask his Master what to do. Or maybe one of the other Masters. But then, there was the matter of protecting Wiis. He needed to find out who the potential buyers were and if anyone was threatening her. Maybe he should just stay around Kublop for now, and if anyone showed up demanding the cortosis, he could distract them by showing them he had it, not her. He did have that lodging allowance still...
