| Athena | It's been a week since the two Mandalorians, the hostage Kasseady freed by the marauders, and the supposed baron himself, Caine, had fallen into the gorge and disappeared. The folk in Kublop Springs have been gossiping about the event, as ever since their sudden vanishing, the marauders have shown up in the town. They haven't threatened anyone ... yet. But during the day, they patrol the streets, saying nothing but sometimes giving the townsfolk menacing looks. Rumor had it they were looking for both Mandalorians, but had had no luck finding them in the Gorge, so had began encroaching on the town... |
| Navi | "And there they go again," Navi murmurs, watching two Marauders stroll past on the opposite side of the street. The blonde Sephi is seated at an outdoor cafe, sipping a drink sourced from a local fruit that she will be quick to tell anyone has got to be the only thing on Tenoo that tastes like something other than the colors green or brown. Or both. Ugh... "That's what, four days of this now?" |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde has been...in and out of the gorge, looking for this person who was apparently grown in a lab. He's got to have a distinct present--he felt it earlier. So he started where he thought he saw them fall, reaching into the Force and fanning out from there. If someone was doing experiments like these in Aklyrr, he isn't sure it's legal. In fact, he's pretty sure it's not. Anyway he is determined to get to the bottom of all this... |
| Pike Windu | Master Windu sits with Navi, sipping his liquor and scanning the local news sheet. "Pirates lost again on Corellia?!" |
| Volken Mons | "One more time." demands Volken. Asks Volken. "His mind is -how- young? What does that even mean? " Cayde may be going into the gorge to look for this 'Caine' but he's not doing it alone. Volken won't allow it. For one it's -clearly- now become an intersection of goals with the Mandalorians needing both Caine and Kassidy.. And he also expects Cayde to magnify whatever situation he encounters into something out of control. Much like he would. But it's better if he's the one making things out of contorl then Cayde. The others are likely searching as well. At the very least Er'gi. The entire situation is rather infuriating to be frank and Volken isn't someone who handles being stymied so often very well. The sight of Marauders acting like the own the place isn't helping either. That's likely to make matters go fro one strike to three strikes rather quickly. |
| Cayde Alexis | [Around one year] Cayde signs again to Volken's question, for about the fifth time in the past week now. At the moment, he's going about getting into a shuttle to go down into the gorge again. That place wasn't easy to get out of without knowing the terrain extremely well and/or having some kind of ride, so he's betting on them still being down there somewhere... |
| Jorn | Jorn tries to look throughout the gorge. To him, they were his ticket to freedom. A very peaceful, or close to it, way to freedom. And so, he will definitely spend -a lot- of time to look for them. Not quite obsessively, but he's -clearly- motivated. He'll put in the most time, first to start and last to leave. It's his goal. Nothing is concrete, solid, but if this doesn't pan out then he's at square one. Maybe even negattive one in his view. That's why he's very tunnel visioned over this. And that's what he's doing. Searching. Again. It's not quite eating at him. To him, they're the solution of a situation. They -can't- be gone because that would make his own hopes feel that much farther away. Even a dead body is better than right now. Right now, he has nothing. At least -that- would be something. |
| Navi | "The Pirates /always/ lose... /especially/ on Corellia," Navi observes. "You'd think /one time/ they'd win one /by accident/... just to break the monotony." "What do you think, Master Windu? Should we chat up those Marauders and see what they're looking so annoyed about?" she asks Pike. |
| Athena | Navi and Pike might have been sitting rather quietly, watching the marauders parade about streets, when the Zeltron private investigator runs up and snatches the flimsiplast newspaper from Pike's hand. "Um, -hello-?" he says belligerently, "Haven't you heard? Cayde disappeared this morning from the colony site and probably went down to the Gorge by himself -again-, the Arkanians haven't been heard from in a -week-, and you're just sitting here reading about the pirates having won in Corellia?! I mean, c'mon! Seriously?!" He bangs the table empathically. "We're dealing with one of the research initiatives possibly having gone rogue and doing some illegal shit involving cloning, and you're just on your ass, like..." he grumbles. Er'gi is tailing Volken, watching Jorn and Cayde with some interest. "Things have taken a strange turn," he whispers to the other behemoth. Meanwhile, Navi will have gotten a text transmission from the doctor. <Listen, don't ask where I got this lead from. But a little birdie told me about an area in the Gorge that might be where those Mandalorians you're looking for are. I've triangulated an area and I'm sending you coordinates now. If Cayde's right about one of them having been grown in a lab... please find him and bring him in, safe and intact. I don't have a good feeling about any of this but it's important we find out the truth as soon as possible. Good luck> A data packet is attached to the message, with said coordinates in it. |
| Pike Windu | Pike glares at Navi and the Zeltran in turn. "I've been busy," the Jedi Master says as though it explains everything. |
| Navi | "Thank you, Doctor..." Navi sits up, studying her comlink screen. "Vons? Go rent an airspeeder or a shuttle and bring it back here," she says. "Don't go to that cranky Bothan guy, either... there's /got to be/ another speeder rental place in town." "Don't give me that look, Master Windu... Vons is the one throwing a fit, and the Pirates still never win," she adds to Pike softly. |
| Volken Mons | "He's got a Z-6 Jetpack. If it didn't get damaged in the fall or he was able to right himself he very well could have simply not hit the ground or even caught Kassady. We may need to expand beyond just looking into the gorge... Especially if the Marauders were working for him. They may have already gotten him. Do we know where the Marauders are hiding out at when they're not acting like they own the place?" Volken actually doesn't climb onto the shuttle just yet...but he does turn towards Er'gi as the other giant approaches. "I dont' know what to think.." he rumbles, frowning, "He said...about a year. I can't remember if that was after I saw him and Fett on COruscant... or if it'd be after that. IF before then does that mean it was this... guy? And what about Kassady? They're cousins of Thaelin but ..come to think of it they were always -with- Lady SOlstice but who're the parents? I'd say we need to check the records on Mandalore but we'd risk getting caught..." He rubs his jaw and then says, "We can't let Cayde stumble onto Caine by himself." |
| Cayde Alexis | [It is difficult to fly here] Cayde signs to Volken. Really, it is. He gets into the cockpit of the craft, eager to pilot it again through the treacherous valley whether other people accompany him or not. [...no they look for him in town...because have not found] he points out to Volken. Because obviously, that's what they're doing. Anyway it's obvious to -him-. But he nods about knowing where the Marauders are hiding. [Yes I know] he signs vaguely. |
| Jorn | Jorn will make sure there is short range communicaton device on him. Something that doesn't have him turning on his own. He'll look to the others and just watch Cayde sign to Volken. "Do we have the nonlethal means to put one down." That's a very important thing to him right now. He needs all of them alive. Does he want to kill? Not really. Would killing be easier? Yes. It always is. May he be forced to do so? He hopes not. |
| Athena | "Sure, sure," Vons grumbles, folding his arms and arching a brow at Pike, "reading the gossip column on 'Corellia Today.'" He rolls his eyes. "Anyway, I manage to scrape up enough credits to get one of my own speeders transported here." He pulls out a fob and after clicking it, the sound of revving engines can be heard just before a shiny vintage speeder pulls up - just large enough to fit the three of them, very snugly. Navi, Pike, and Vons might be able to take off on the speeder, but Thaarin will pass in front of the convent on his way over to them and arrive before they leave. "You wouldn't suppose we all ought to make sure Cayde isn't alone with the Mandalorians, now would you?" he says to the trio. "We definitely can't risk that right now," Er'gi says, "Maybe it's a question for Ellari, later. She might know more about their bloodline. They're both Clan Vizsla." |
| Volken Mons | "C'mon... If a Mandalorian doesn't want to come peacefully just tappin' them on the shoulder and askin' is about as non lethal as you're gonna be able to get off on 'em. Still I got my whipcords and Cayde's got his mind-sorcery nonsense so we may have some options. Get in." Volken glances to Jorn as he speaks but then moves to squeeze himself into the shuttle and also make room for Er'gi if the blond haired giant wishes to join the dark haired one. "Let's send Ellari a message and see what she can find out." |
| Pike Windu | Pike shrugs at Navi before tossing back the rest of his booze and slapping the glass down next to a few other empties. "This expedition will have to do without me. May the Force be with you." Windu rises, unsteady on his feet, pulls up his hood, and staggers away. |
| Navi | "Oh... in that case, take care, Master. May the Force be with you," Navi calls softly after Master Windu. She boards the speeder with Vons. "Nice. But can it handle going down into the gorge? I suppose what I'm wondering about is, is this a landspeeder or an airspeeder? One's confined to land and the other isn't." And then Thaarin is stepping out in front of them, and she's waving to him. "I think he'll be okay, Thaarin... if he's with them, then he's with Volken, and Volken won't let anyone hurt him." |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde fires up the engines and the craft lifts into the air then starts heading for the valley. By now, he's learned a few things about getting in and out of that place, although it still proves to be a bit bumpy... |
| Zetha Rumir | Zetha has made it back into Kublop and therefore back to - well she's likely between the convent and the junkyard at this point. Not that such a thing matters because in the moment, she's actually coming from Hap's towards the convent with two biscuits in hand. Don't judge. It's her comfort food. As she approaches the convent she'll spy Navi, Thaarin and someone who looks vaugely familiar. Like a face in passing and nothing more. She pauses a couple steps away from them. "Hey Navi. Hey Thaarin." Then a glance to Vons. "Uhm...hello...person I've only maybe seen once before..." |
| Athena | Er'gi follows Volken's lead, despite having some hesitations about squeezing into the tiny craft with a infantile Jedi who doesn't even look old enough to fly... well, anything, really. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" he grumbles to Volken. "What a cop out!" Vons calls after Pike. His expression softens. "Guess it's just you and me, then," he says to Navi, but then Thaarin shows up and practically scolds them for having left Cayde alone with the Mandalorians." He sighs, sounding exasperated. Thaarin climbs onto the bike, just barely fitting. "Well, we'll just have to see, won't we? I'm not going to just assume they'll act responsible." And then Zetha shows up. Thaarin nods at her, frowning a little. "What are you doing out, and about? You should stay in the convent -- the marauders have been patrolling the streets all day for the past week." |
| Volken Mons | "No." answers Volken to Er'gi. "I"m not sure." There's a pause as he reconsiders and then eh says again, "Not sure at all." |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde has learned a few things about the gorge...however, none of them seem to come in handy this time. Maybe some of the terrain has changed. But either way, the craft smacks into several outcroppings, jarring its passengers roughly this way and that, until it crashes to the ground at the base of a ridge, one of its engines smoking. |
| Jorn | Jorn will send off a message to Ellari. Something simple, Necessary. Then everything happens so quickly. While seconds tick by at their normal rate, it's an eternity on the inside. So, the mandalorian does a quick weapons check then just braces for impact. All the ardenaline put into actions just makes anyone quicker, himself included. That check is pretty easy to do. Shame there's nothing else he could do, but not being in the pilot's seat just means you're a passenger. Noise always deafens the room in an acident. People can barely hear one another during. The thunderous sound of metal scrapping against rock just filling the hull in quick succession again, and again. Various "Clangs!" "Crunch!" noises as metal and stone don't yield to one another. It's not until the silence settles that Jorn begins to speak, "Everyone else alive, or is someone celebrating Life Day with those long passed?" he asks with a groan that follows. |
| Volken Mons | After all of that, Volken just.. Siiiiiiggggghhhhs. "Remind me to listen to you next time.." he grumbles towards Er'gi who he is almost certainly entangled with given there wasn't that much room to begin with for both giants. |
| Navi | "I'll assume it about Volken Mons, because I've seen proof of it with my own eyes," Navi replies. "I'm less sure about some of the others, but they'e generally good people. A little violent, maybe, but Cayde tends to have that effect on people." She does pause to give Zetha a hug, because Zetha always seems to need a hug, and she has them to spare. |
| Zetha Rumir | Zetha shrugs her shoulders. "They won't harm me. Not if they want me to do what they want for them." She says simply. "But I can go hang out in the convent. I just wanted a snack." She says, waving her biscuits around. "Have fun with whatever you all are doing and try not to die.." She says this and then she returns the hug from Navi before promptly shifting to walk towards the convent doors. |
| Athena | "..." Er'gi groans, and extracts himself from the passenger seat belts, of which he had, indeed, become entangled in. "Oh don't you worry. I will," he grunts, "how old is that boy, anyway?!" "I wouldn't be so sure," Thaarin says, his eyes narrowing slightly. "They're clearly using Cayde for their own benefit and political gain." "Stay safe, and please don't do anything rash. You've let enough people coerce you into dangerous situations," he says to Zetha, "But anyway, we've got to go look for the Mandalorians who went missing. Oh, and if you're heading to the junkyard, tell Wiis we'll be stopping by soon to discuss the drill." |
| Navi | "Take care, Zetha. And if you need anything, even if it's just another hug? Please contact me," Navi replies to Zetha, waving after her. Looking to Vons, she adds, "Maybe I'd better stay in the speeder. Someone should watch it." |
| Zetha Rumir | "Yeah but what Zealot wants me to do for him may in fact break open a case you've been working your butt off on. And while Doctor Cassias thinks it's a bad idea, I'm pretty sure it's the only viable option instead of doing the same thing over and over with no different result. Rash decisions are my speciality." Zetha offers this much more and then gives a little smirk. "I can pass along the message I think." That much more commented from the Twi'lek who paused just long enough to say such, and then she returns to venturing towards the convent, taking a bite of her biscuit along the way. |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde also extracts himself from the broken shuttle, using the Force if necessary. He nods toward Jorn when he asks if everyone is still alive. When Er'gi asks how old he is, he pouts slightly. [Seventeen] he signs. Not twelve, or thirteen, or fourteen! Then he turns and starts reaching out into the Force again, searching for that strange being's presence... |
| Volken Mons | "Old enough to almsot get us killed. Young eough to almost get us killed. I'm sure you were younger then that when you held your first repeating blaster, vod." Volken isn't exactly taking up for Cayde but the youth of the boy isn't really the issue here. "Besides, clearly we're dealing with grown adults who are less mature..." That said, he checks his weapons for damage, makes sure his armor is straightened back out and then follows after Cayde and Jorn. |
| Jorn | Jorn will push his way forward, carefully shoot anything in necessary. He'll look in front and behind. Stopping as if to do a headcount or assess how bad it all is by judging the state of everything. How banged up are the occupants; not that you could tell with a couple of them thanks to the full body armor. How bad did the ship look. He just pushes out and tries to assess a good way to get down without tumbling. Jorn's been tossed around enough already. |
| Athena | Thaarin's eyes widen slightly. "Wait! You can't mean..." he trails off. But realization suddenly seems to dawn on him, and he nods imperceptibly. "The doctor's right," He says softly, "It's a terrible idea, but I suppose I can't stop you. You might as well come along, then. We're looking for the same people," he says, "best I don't let you out of my sight, at the very least." He reaches for her hand, and if she lets him, he'll squeeze it gently. "We're not going to be able to get down into the Gorge with the speeder," he says, "but we could take the shuttle to the colony and take the one of the smaller crafts there." And if no one objects, the three of them will make their way to the transit station, head to the colony, and board one of the smaller craft before heading into the Gorge once more. "Fine," Er'gi grumbles, "but we had better be at least a little bit closer to finding that hu'tunn!" Jorn's assessment will probably reveal that the ship is not going to be flying out of the Gorge. Well, that's a problem for future Jorn, isn't it? Cayde won't be able to sense the strange, oddly young presence he'd felt prior to those Mandalorians going missing, but he will sense another familiar presence nearby. It's Mal. But her aura in the Force doesn't feel malicious or vengeful anymore, just afraid. <Cayde?> she reaches out tenuously, <are you okay? What are you doing here? There were some mean people here earlier... hope they didn't get to you..> |
| Zetha Rumir | "You weren't the one Zealot placed a blaster to the forehead of and threatened her life and Wiis' life if I /dont/ do what he wants me to do!" Zetha suddenly exclaims even as Thaarin takes her hand. She feels that squeeze, but all Thaarin gets in return is a sly smile. "I'm tired of being timid and -that- being the reason I get in trouble. People are going to die if you don't figure this out, right? I mean I don't know what you put together in your head just now, but if it's what I think it is..." She shrugs. She doesn't know if going to the gorge with Thaarin is the right idea. But if the Mandalorians are missing...but then Jasper doesn't usually hang with those. He keeps to the shadows and such. "I don't think I should go with you, Thaarin. I need to find another Mandalorian that likely isn't with the missing ones. If I'm the key, I have to find the lock I fit into and get things started." |
| Volken Mons | "We know they came down here but it's been too long to think they're still easily found without more effort. Especialy if Caine's jetpack was repaired. He could just drag Kassady along with him." grumbles Volken as he moves to catch up with Cayde and Jorn. "But if so, given our landing...we know he couldn't have just flown out. So there's that.." Volken watches Cayde but then looks to JOrn and Er'gi, "But even so..I trust the words of the Jedi foundling. Caine's mind is..too young. It doesn't make sense." |
| Jorn | The ship's inability to function is a future Jorn problem, but it is a present Jorn concern. Sadly, concern is not a luxury Jorn can afford right now. He presses onward. While he believes in the force, Jorn doesn't trust in it. Not as blindly as some of the others here. Instead, he decides to put his faith in them for the moment. They probably have the best sense of eyes right now amongst everything. "I trust in their senses. What they do in the situation, that's where I'm concerned," he'll speak back to Volken. The big guy does have a very valid point. Younglings seem to be the type to trust a Jedi they really shouldn't in a bad situation. |
| Cayde Alexis | <I'm fine...> Cayde responds, although he is somewhat wary of her. Even if she didn't seem hostile, that could change at any moment. And who is to say she couldn't mask her true intentions from him? <What mean people> Outwardly, the padawan appears to have walked a few steps from the wrecked shuttle, and then just stopped. And there is that vacant expression on his face again. |
| Athena | "The Mandalorian you're looking for -must- be one of the missing ones. Because I know the ones who aren't - that Jorn of Bakura, Ellari, Volken, and that other hulking blond fellow who follows him around like a domesticated growzer. I just saw them this morning, with Cayde. And he didn't say he was heading for the Gorge, but I know better than to assume he -wasn't- going. That leaves only one - then one I saw you with at the gravball club. I haven't seen him in weeks, and he matches the description of the one the doctor keeps mentioning he's worried about," Thaarin says. "They must still be down here. This valley -- it's immense. It would take even all the marauders months to comb it all, and something tells me there's parts they don't dare venture into at all . They've spread to the town, but that's not all of them. There's still several flying around the Gorge, looking for them. I saw them on our way in - just before we crashed..." Er'gi grumbles at Jorn's comment. "And you came all this way to be trained by him! Haar'chak! You are a hypocrite. You're concerned?? -I'm- concerned! Volken's pretending not to be..." his gaze then flicks to Cayde, who's just standing there. "What the kriff is he doing now?" <I don't know. Two men. They looked exactly the same, but their minds were different. One of them was like a baby... I can't quite describe it. But he was insane, and terrible. The other one was arrogant and rude. They made me cry. And then I don't remember anything after that> |
| Volken Mons | "Oh no you don't. HEY!" Volken is suddenly infront of Cayde, snapping his fingers to try and shake him out of that vacant look. Not on Volken's watch. "Pay attention! What's going on. You sensing anything?" He glances past Cayde towards Jorn and Er'gi, "That's why the three of us are here, vod..." he says towards Jorn, "To take charge." HOw hard can managing one Jedi Padawan be for three Mandalorians-- He decides to not think too much on that... |
| Zetha Rumir | Zetha listens and then she sighs. "I just fear what may happen if Zealot catches us. Catches me with you..." She says this and then grunts. "Alright. I trust you. I trust you to keep us both safe. To the best of your ability." Of course, this is all likely said while they're traveling so that no time is lost. She would have hesitated at some point but Thaarin's words are...convincing enough at this time. |
| Jorn | "I figured as much," he chimes back to Volken. Just trying to keep an eye on everything. He's cautious and this is foreign territory. |
| Cayde Alexis | <Where were they> Cayde asks Mal, apparently unaware of Er'gi's grousing. However, Volken is suddenly snapping his fingers in front of him. He frowns, as this had broken his concentration. [No because you stopped it] he signs, looking annoyed. But then he just shrugs and starts heading in the direction he thought he sensed Mal's presence, although to the Mandalorians with him, it likely seems random. |
| Volken Mons | "Ah, wait. No. stop." Volken puts a massive arm out to keep Cayde from moving. "You didn't tell us you go all blank in the face at the drop of a hat. I've only seen you get into trouble or get caught in the middle of something when you do that. Where are you going and why? Dont' just start wandering without explaining what's going on. What -did- you sense if you were busy doing your thing? Give us some answers so we can assist or determine best courses of action." After a pause Volken adds, "You -did- almost kill us a few minutes ago with a crash so I think you can be more open. We've effectively gone through life and death in a matter of a few seconds..." |
| Athena | "I won't let you out of my sight," he whispers to her, just before they get on the train. On the way over, the Zeltron man introduces himself to her as Arsok Vons, a private investigator working undercover for the Republic, although the undercover part has kind of gone out the window by now. Very little small talk is made, as both Vons and Thaarin seem hyperfocused on the task at hand. When they eventually arrive in the Gorge about a bumpy forty five minute ride later, Zetha might find herself feeling a little dizzy and disoriented when she disembarks. Er'gi continues grousing, "The -three- of us? Volken, please. I didn't volunteer for this, and I'm not sure why you think Jorn could be a caretaker for a Jedi child! He can barely take care of himself!" <I'm not sure> Mal replies after a bit. <But I have a feeling that they can't have gone far. I don't think it's been that long since I last saw them> |
| Cayde Alexis | <I'm coming...where are you> Cayde asks, but then he's once again interrupted by Volken, how grabs him. He pouts again, and tries to twist away from the hulking man. [Mal saw them...they together...we find her and find them...] that's the best explanation he can offer. That is, without entering their minds, anyway. |
| Volken Mons | "What'd you get on the shuttle for then?? A tour?!" snaps Volken at Er'gi. "We're tryin' to find Kassady and Caine aren't we? If the boy's got a lead we need t'follow it and make sure something comes of it so we can get those buffoons home and get to the bottom of this whole 'one year old' thing!" When Cayde speaks and gives -some- explanation, Volken nods. That was ..essentially all he needed. Answers. "See?" he says towards Er'gi and JOrn. "A lead." |
| Zetha Rumir | Zetha nods and introduces herself in kind to Vons because it's the polite thing to do. That bumpy ride is...bumpy...and as they disembark into the gorge she actually grabs a hold of Thaarin's arm (because she likely can't quite reach his shoulders) to steady herself. "..Never thought I'd be coming back here any time soon.." She offers, even if her face seems to go a bit more teal than blue as she recovers from the ride. "So. How do we start this?" |
| Jorn | A look goes toward Er'gi. "We can leave you in the hole," Jorn says as he gets that indignation sent his way. The attention just focuses on them. "You speak high and mighty for someone whose personality is utterly rotten," and he will just continue pushing forward. A nod comes from Jorn when a lead comes about. That's a positive. |
| Athena | "Such gratefulness," Er'gi mutters, "and after I've kindly kept quiet for you, and am now helping you find that hu'tunn, Von'egel! I swear upon House Kryze, if it weren't for Volken..." Cayde, Volken, Jorn, and Er'gi will likely trek through the wilderness for a bit towards where Cayde had sense Mal for awhile. Maybe an hour, or less. "I have the coordinates the doctor sent Navi," Vons says, "the area isn't huge, so I don't think it'll be too hard to comb through it. Hopefully we don't run into any unfriendly... things down here," he says, and starts making his way into the underbrush. Thaarin offers Zetha a faint smile and his hand, motioning for her to follow the Zeltron PI. Eventually, the two groups will run into one another, much to Thaarin's simultaneous relief and dismay. "Cayde!" He cries, upon seeing the young padawan. "Are you alright?" |
| Volken Mons | "You did take a shot at him first vod. If you can dish it out ...you must take it!" Volken seems more amused the put off ... but he does shoot Jorn a warning glance. Well it's more of a turn of his head since their helmets are on but Mandalorians can read Mandalorian body language so..a warning helmet wearing 'glanec'. Er'gi did speak truthfully there. He could have ratted them out to those on Man'doa at any time and likely collected a reward for it. One must work witht he hand they're dealt which includes Mandalorians with bad attitudes. Except for him. Volken never has a bad atittude. Except for when Ellari's around. "Just c'mon.." he grouses, following after Cayde in search of this Mal. |
| Zetha Rumir | Zetha takes Thaarin's hand as they follow Vons. Though when their group meets the other group and she sees Cayde, Jorn, Volken...everyone. She just offers a smile. Though the last time she saw Cayde, there was another argument. So she's not sure how happy the young Jedi will be to see her. But she, at least, is happy to see him still in one piece. |
| Jorn | "You're helping, but courtesy goes a long way. Sometimes those we should respect, we don't because they forget the basics of being a decent person. It makes me pity you," and Jorn simply leaves it at that. As Ellari would probably say, it's bad when -Jorn- pities you. |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde just watches the Mandalorians argue, wondering if it was a normal pastime, or something. Really, it's as if it's a hobby of some kind. He nods to Thaarin and the others upon encountering them. Presumably, they're here for the same reason. [Can you find them] he asks, wondering if they have any other leads. |
| Athena | Er'gi mutters obscenities in Mando'a under his breath. Jorn might hear a few of them, but the argument is clearly over. For now, anyway. "Well, not yet," Thaarin says, examining Cayde carefully, to make sure he really -is- okay, "we've got a triangulated area, but that's about it," he says. Just then, Vons, who's wandered some distance away. "Hey..! I think heard something over here..." |
| Volken Mons | "Relax." rumbles Volken to Jorn aftre he speaks. Seems that his bemusement wsa quickly over there as Jorn kept on despite it all. "You're not helping smooth tihs along now and this situation isn't over yet." Volken: Displeased. But he does move forward to approach Thaarin with Cayde, "Do we know what condition they were in or what direction they went?" |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde looks okay, although he might be a little bit bruised up from that shuttle crash. The padawan nods. [Then go there] he signs, just as Vons remarks that he heard something. Immediately, he turns and starts heading toward the Zeltron's position. |
| Zetha Rumir | Is this a proceed with caution moment? This feels like a proceed with caution moment. So Zetha proceeds. With caution. And the others. |
| Athena | "No, unfortunately," Thaarin says in response to Volken. "I'd follow Cayde's lead - it's the only one we have aside from the intel the doctor gave us." He then turns and starts to follow Cayde towards where Vons had shouted. When they arrive, they'll hear rustling in the bushes, and running footsteps. And then all of a sudden, without warning, one of the barons streaks out from behind a tree. Quite literally. The man is buck naked. He'll shout in surprise and dismay upon seeing the group there, and then immediately dart back behind the tree. "Mons!!!" he roars angrily. "You! You!!! You commiserated with the witch, didn't you!!! To humiliate me!!" He picks up a stick and points it at the behemoth threateningly. "I'll.. I'll -kill- you for this!" Zetha might recognize the naked man. It's 'Jasper'. Well, his lips, chin, and chestnut curls certainly look exactly like 'Jasper's'. |
| Volken Mons | "That must be Kassady. Caine's not nearly so pitiful. Not enough vitriol or willingness to just attack on sight. He also seems surprised to see me and Caine knew I was here..." muses Volken towards the others as he's shouted at and in consideration of the absurdity of the situation. "Did your brother abandon you?" he asks, voice raising now. He steps aside to let Jorn come closer as well if he wants. He did kidnap Kassady earlier after all. |
| Zetha Rumir | Zetha's not going to go yelling out a name in front of everyone here. Especially since people aren't saying the name Jasper. So it can't be him right? Only. It -looks- like him. Well...from what little she gleaned before he ran back into the bushes. Which does make her wonder...but she'll leave the wondering INSIDE her head. For now. |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde stares at the naked man as he runs out and then quickly runs back into the bushes. What had happened to his clothes? This was the one who had attacked him previously though, so his hand instinctively goes to his lightsaber, although he doesn't draw it yet. |
| Athena | The stick starts to shake a little, and Kasseady's gaze flicks away, but he still looks like he's ready to go on the offensive - despite being naked and without any beskar or weapons. He doesn't reply, but then all of a sudden, another man, identical to Kasseady, also naked (or so it would appear, he doesn't rush out of the bushes like Kasseady had so rashly done), approaches. "I haven't," he says calmly, "now, you wanted to speak with me? I've had some time to think, and I've decided that we could chat civilly. Of course, after both clothing and bathing myself." Cayde will immediately be able to tell that this man is the one. The one with the young mind... |
| Cayde Alexis | Cayde arches a brow as Volken keeps talking about a "Kasseady" and "Caine" whom he has not heard of before. [Who are they] he asks the towering Mandalorian. [Where you born] the padawan asks suddenly of the more 'calm' one who looks like Jasper, although his guard is still up as if expecting an attack at any moment. |
