Cayde Alexis     After all of that trouble, Cayde had finally managed to find Senator Grindle's office. Only to find that he wasn't there. At first, he was going to hang around and wait until the Dowutin returned, assuming he would do so at some point today. But as you know, patience isn't the padawan's strong suit. Besides, maybe another time later once everyone had -mostly- forgotten that little Senate session incident would be better, anyway.

So after about half an hour of snooping about the office, he'd just slipped out a window and headed back to the Alisandre to look for Zetha. He'd promised to help her with finding more about her parents in her memories of the distant past--without Agent Black, this time.
Zetha Rumir Meanwhile, Zetha had left the Alisandre for a moment with every intention to go with Thaarin and Navi for another mission of Find Cayde. Only, when the two mention going to the CSF to put out a bulletin and potentially bringing Black into the mix, the Twi'lek does a fantastic job of dismissing herself from the moment. She turns back and returns to the Alisandre, walking back into the lobby with every intention of going back to her room.

Only when she walks back into the lobby and makes way for the elevator she stops dead in her tracks when she spies the young Padawan. How? How did they miss him? Either way she heaves a sigh and walks over to him, making sure to approach him from the side at least so he can catch her in his periphreal at least. "Cayde? Where have you been? Thaarin's out looking for you right now..."
Cayde Alexis     Well Cayde had been headed up toward Zetha's room, when the Twi'lek herself appears in the lobby near the elevator. Perfect, it was just who he was looking for.

He arches a brow at the mention of Thaarin having gone out to look for him. [Well I am here] he signs, the nods toward the elevator. [To your room] he asks.
Zetha Rumir Zetha glances back towards the exit of the Alisandre and then shrugs. Let them deal with it. She looks back to Cayde and nods. "Yeah. Let's go..." Then she walks with Cayde to the elevator that goes right up to her room.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde watches as she glances toward the exit and shrugs. And doesn't contact anyone, or scold him or act annoyed. This he can live with.

Up the elevator and back to her room they'll go. The padawan will turn to her once they're inside, peering into her gaze for a moment. [When you are ready...can you find the ship again] he asks. [From last time]
Zetha Rumir "What if I'm not ready?" Zetha says as she goes to sit on the edge of her bed. "I don't get why he needs to know about the ship. He made it seem like I was some curious child who got into things...but I just don't see it. What if I can't give him what he wants to know?" She takes a slow breath then and shakes her head. "I mean, I don't mind trying, I just...I don't know if I have those kinds of memories..."
Cayde Alexis     Cayde shrugs. [Then...wherever you want to go] he signs, then goes to join her on the edge of the bed. [When you are ready...not rush] he emphasizes that part again.
Zetha Rumir "I don't mind trying...I guess..." Zetha offers as she holds her hand out for Cayde. "I just...can't promise anything. You might just get more visions of a very boring childhood..."
Cayde Alexis     [We can explore other...if you want] Cayde offers, nodding. [Anywhere...start where comfortable] he suggests.
Zetha Rumir "We could also talk about your testimony Thaarin's been onto you about writing..." Zetha offers and gives a smirk. "Alright. I'll try to start somewhere...we were at a point of my, like, I was a baby right? Maybe I can try to start a little older..."
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods. Oh, yes, an idea has occurred to him. He takes out the datapad with what he has written thus far, and shows it to her. And then, he just puts it in her lap. It's...well...it looks like maybe someone half his age wrote it.

[Need to rephrase] he signs, pointing at it. [You know the story]
Zetha Rumir Zetha blinks, then she picks up the datapad and looks at it. "I know...the story with the drill. The Chada Fan what came and got that bit and installed it which caused the drill to overheat and explode. I don't know anything else..." She says this much but then she gives a little smirk. "You want me to write it for you? I'll do it. But I may need to ask you some questions..."

She sets the datapad aside. "And we don't tell Thaarin. I can probably write it fairly quickly...and maybe even make it so it doesn't seem like I wrote it. Could say I helped you with it if he gets suspicious about it." Then she shrugs. "So, trip down memory lane in exchange for a written testimony, eh?"
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods again. Yes, that would be good, though it's not like it was some kind of transaction. Just friends helping friends.

He points to his head and then to hers. [I tell you] he signs. [If okay]

Then he offers a hand, you know, for the usual contact that makes this a bit easier.
Zetha Rumir Zetha nods and then places her hand into his own. "Fair enough." She offers gently and then takes a slow breath. "Alright. Let's do this..."
Cayde Alexis     First things first, Zetha find herself seeing everything from that entire ordeal from Cayde's perspective--actually, she may be surprised that it isn't -too- different from her own. The drill, the explosion, the marauders, that rowdy crowd in the end. Though, that part is a bit chaotic and possibly difficult to sort through. He also has a lot of negative emotions toward Xera...he thinks she has -something- to do with this. And she's a big part of the reason Navi has found herself getting shut out of his mind more and more often. Whatever the Sephi sees in the woman, he doesn't trust it at all!
Zetha Rumir Zetha watches the whole ordeal, and the chaos that ensued from it. When she feels the negative feelings from Cayde towards Xera she almost voices how she agrees with those feelings whole heartedly. She's only met Xera once - technically - and the woman rubbed her the wrong way. "Set up from the beginning. Have someone find a drill piece that is not the best thing to use...the piece was known for overheating...and cause...this." It's something that sort of clicks in her mind as she watches it all. "This had to be really scary up close and personal..."
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods. < I have been in her mind > This time it is a projection. < It is poison...she should be removed >

Yeah, it was scary. Telepathy is a scary thing to live with, if he's being honest. Which is why there is nothing in the galaxy he fears more than himself.

Zetha will start to see the room shift around her, the walls fading into a bright blue sky above Coruscant. Suddenly they are sitting in that same beautiful rooftop garden she'd seen before. He moves over to one of the low walls that surround it, sitting down on it. < I like it here >
Zetha Rumir Zetha moves over to the wall and sits down next to him. "This does seem to be a happy place for you. Which I guess it would be...above and away from all those minds." She offers this and then looks around. "I don't know if I want to remember my childhood...but I know it would probably help find my parents. Though a part of me wonders if it's worth it...and why I'm obsessing over it now and not any time before." She shrugs then. "Shame life can't always be lived in a rooftop garden..."
Cayde Alexis     < It is happy because of you > Cayde tells her, moving closer to her as she sits down next to him. he tells her,

< It is okay...if not want to find parents...happy with life...but if you want it, I will help you >
Zetha Rumir Zetha nods, then draws one knee up to rest her chin against it. "That's the thing though. I want to find them. Or...find out what happened to them. It's not their fault I was left behind...and if I could find them.." She shrugs. "I thought it could be as easy as running their names through some database. Wouldn't there be records of them?"
Cayde Alexis     < Probably > Cayde replies, nodding. < Need Black for that > But she doesn't like Black, so...

< But find ship name, maybe find manifest...flight record > That could be a lead, right? < Maybe you remember >
Zetha Rumir Zetha makes a face when he mentions Black. "Maybe I could tolerate Black if he didn't come at me so...weirdly. Like if I go to him and ask. But also...could try to remember the ship name..." She says and then shakes her head. "Sorry. I'm completely off track of what you wanted to help me with. But...I appreciate you trying at least."
Cayde Alexis     < Go back to ship memory, find name...that is a lead > Cayde replies, nodding. < Maybe other important detail...lead to where they go later? >
Zetha Rumir Zetha's eyes shift around as the memory settles into place around them, the walls of the ship coming into focus piece by piece. "This..." She murmurs, looking down at the metal beneath her feet before glancing toward the narrow corridor ahead. "I know this." The low hum of the engines seems to vibrate through everything, familiar in a way that makes her expression tighten. Her gaze catches on the faded gold lettering above a nearby bulkhead and she stares at it for a long moment. "The Gilded Fang..." She says softly. "That's the name. I remember seeing it there. I think I used to look at it all the time."

She takes a few slow steps forward, almost hesitant to touch anything despite knowing none of it is really there. "It's smaller than I remember." Zetha glances toward him and then back to the corridor as another fragment shifts into place. "Or...I was smaller, I guess." Her hand lifts toward the wall without quite touching it. "My father told me what the words said. I didn't know how to read yet." Her brows pull together as she looks farther down the passage. "I think our room was this way. Or the kitchens..." She pauses, visibly frustrated with herself. "It's all kind of mixed together."
Cayde Alexis     < Ship name...that is a good lead > Cayde encourages, taking some time to examine the memory himself. The gold lettering, the noise of the engines. He follows her gaze toward the room, or perhaps the kitchen. But he also turns the opposite way as well. < Did you go to the bridge? > he asks. Because that might have more leads, and possibly even better ones at that. Like a hyperlane course, or planned routes.
Zetha Rumir Zetha slows when the corridor shifts around them, her attention catching on a small terminal built into the wall near the cargo bay. "No...never the bridge..." She says, moving towards the terminal. "I wasn't supposed to touch this." Which, naturally, seems to be exactly why the younger version of her had. The screen flickers alive beneath small fingers, rows of names, numbers and locations spilling across it. Zetha stares at the memory, brow furrowing. "I didn't know what any of this meant. I just knew some of the symbols." Then she shakes her head. "We were always in the lower parts of the ship...so getting up to the bridge would have been near impossible..."
Cayde Alexis     Hm, well that part doesn't surprise Cayde. But it didn't hurt to check. < Okay, not surprise... > He examines the terminal, doing his best to commit all those names, numbers, and locations to memory as best he can. < Who tell you not touch > he asks. Had they said why? He starts trying to look for -that- memory, perhaps they might learn something useful from it.
Zetha Rumir Zetha's expression pinches a little at the question as the memory shifts again, less like she is searching for it and more like the ship is deciding what to show them next. "My father, I think..." She says quietly, watching the smaller version of herself hover near the terminal. "Or maybe both of them. They were always telling me not to touch things." There is the faintest twitch at the corner of her mouth before it fades. "Not because they were hiding anything from me. More because I was seven and apparently had no sense of self preservation."

She moves a little closer to the terminal, eyes narrowing as another piece begins to surface. "I think he said the terminals were watched. That if I pressed the wrong thing, someone upstairs would know." Her gaze drops to the younger Zetha's hands as they move hesitantly over the controls anyway. "But I remember him using this one once. Maybe that's why I knew how to wake it up." She pauses, then looks toward Cayde. "I don't think I understood what was on it. I just knew there were places...and numbers...and sometimes I saw the same ones next to my parents."
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods, watching Little Zetha with her hands on the terminal. < Did they know...did something ever happen > he wonders, still examining the screen, but this time, he's looking for her parents' names in particular...to see what locations and numbers they had associated with them.
Zetha Rumir Zetha watches the younger version of herself at the terminal for a moment longer before her attention shifts back to Cayde. "I don't know..." She says, voice quieter now. "Maybe." The memory around them seems to blur at the edges before settling again, the screen sharpening enough for the entries to become clearer. Her eyes move with his as he searches, catching on two records that feel familiar even before she understands why. "There..." She murmurs. "Those are them."

The names are not there, only identification numbers beside Twi'lek classifications, work assignments, and a string of previous stops. Zetha's brow furrows as she leans closer. "Ryloth...Nar Shaddaa..." She reads slowly, then pauses when another entry appears beneath them. "Dantooine." Her gaze shifts across the line before catching on a smaller notation beside it. "Route amended..." She says, almost under her breath. Then her eyes find the added stop. Tenoo. Zetha goes very still. "That wasn't supposed to be there."
Cayde Alexis     Ryloth, Nar Shaddaa, Dantooine...Tenoo. Wait.

< What do you mean > Cayde asks, frowning at the entries. < Tenoo where they left you.... right? > Or did she mean that route hadn't been authorized?
Zetha Rumir "No...like..." Zetha peers harder at the screen. "I think I understand this better now. They weren't originally supposed to go to Tenoo at all...they added it in." She takes a step back and then sighs. "I...I don't want to remember anything else right now. Ship name. A route they took...I..." She looks back towards Cayde with a pained smile. "I think that's enough for this time around, yeah?" It hurts. Because now it made sense. They never went to Tenoo. So the trip was made special. Just for her. To leave her behind.
Cayde Alexis     Cayde nods, and in the blink of an eye, the memory disappears and they're back in the Alisandre, on the bed, hand in hand.

< They didn't want that life for you. >

    The life of a slave.
Zetha Rumir "No. They didn't. But that just makes wanting to know what happened to them more important. If they're still alive...I can show them that I made a life for myself." Zetha offers and then looks over to the datapad next to her. "Should probably let Black know that we know more information now...maybe he can do something with it."
Cayde Alexis     < I hope still alive > Cayde nods again, then picks up the datapad again and hands it to her. < You can write it now? >
Zetha Rumir Zetha nods her head. "Yeah. I can write it now." Which she'll work on doing, letting Cayde read over parts to ensure she gets things right. Tweaking it here and there.
