In the days of the Old Republic, Zygerria was a dominant power that supplied slave labor to the galaxy, benefiting both the Zygerrians and their customers. Their trade was eventually outlawed by the Old Republic, and the Jedi liberated countless slaves, leading to a deep-seated hatred among the Zygerrians for the Jedi.
