Date of Scene: 12 June 2025
Location: Jedha, Mandalore
Synopsis: Jorn and his current allies search for assistance from the Jedi.
Cast of Characters: 159, Ellari Zin, 418, Volken Mons

Athena (159) has posed:
By this time, Jorn is likely on the public transit line headed straight to the spaceport. But the stop he'd agreed to meet Revara at is coming up next. What she may or may not say or do, only time will tell. He might also want to keep an eye on the time - Ellari probably would be inclined to ask what's taking him so long, and he might not be so inclined to tell her, given her rather low opinion of his fiancee.

Meanwhile, Varen glances at the time - he'd been making idle small talk with Ellari, and while he doesn't mind at all, she seems a bit impatient. "Are you sure Jorn is coming?" he asks Ellari.

Back at the wedding, Caine begins to pace the circle, all the while watching Volken. "What are you waiting for?" he prods the behemoth. "You were the one you wanted so badly to challenge me, Mandalorian to Mandalorian. If you could even call yourself one."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Well, it would be in his best interests to." Ellari tells Varen. She is indeed getting impatient. She looks back down at her commlink and starts sending Jorn a message asking him when he will be here and that she's waiting for him. And also asking what the stop is for...

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn breathes out. This is either really stupid or will be really theraputic. He's just not sure which. The credits are on: stupid. Still, he will move out in the armor that looks a little different. The shader will probably wear off within the hour. Pulling out two blasters, he just steaids himself. They're not pointed, but he's clearly holding them out of their holsters. "I'm an idiot," he says low, barely audible. Only audible to himself really.

Volken Mons has posed:
"Yeah, yeah. There's an art to this sort of thing..." rumbles Volken as he rolls his massive shoulders and then slams his huge fists togethert. His knuckle dusters crackle to life with energy and he then begins a slow trundle forward. "I've got a....you know...role to play. If I come running in at you like some sort of Speeder Bike...people might have questions!"

But he then suddenly -does- come lunging in.. Ducking low and then bringing his massive arm hurtling down, forward and then up again in a tremendous swing that kicks up dust afterwards.

"Haven't shocked boxed in awhile..."

Athena (159) has posed:
"Perhaps we should just leave without him?" Varen says. "We could... speak to the Master Jedi ahead of his arrival. Perhaps even sight see a bit in Jedha, just the two of us..."

Jorn's regret may wash away when he sees Revara running towards him, her weapons put away. Before he can refuse, she's embracing him tightly, as if she might not ever see him again.

Caine parries he blow from his knuckle duster, but the sheer force of Volkens blow causes him to stumble backwards. One of his knees hits the ground before he rolls aside, his grip on his sword momentarily loosened. Then he quickly gets back up, and tightens his grip. "Since when did you care about what questions people might ask!" he cries, then lunges at Volken with his blade.

Jorn (418) has posed:
<I'll be there so-> Jorn tries to fire off a message, but not all of it goes off to Ellari before that hug. It looks like he is clearly interrupted. Jorn knows where the blade is, while he hugs her with one hand. The other just stays at the ready. Getting put in prison really did a number on his trust. Now, he's not sure who could be trusted.

"I have a lot to say, but I can't. It's been rough. Just know that," he says honestly. The guard lowers ever so slightly to admit all of that. Still, he would check himself for tracking bugs the moment becomes alone. Yeah, Jorn doesn't know who he can trust and there's a growing distrust with the world. It's part of why he wants to leave. The time away will allow this new guraded edge to leave.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari shakes her head. "Volk wants to speak to Jorn specifically. He told me himself." she sighs as she still doesn't get a response from Jorn. "Don't worry, I'm sure we will get a chance to sightsee..."

Volken Mons has posed:
"Hn. Maybe if you spent time asking me more questions instead of just assumin' the worst...you'd know I do care about things. Course you blew that when you turned on me on Coruscant! Armor and super tough skin serve as a buffer against the blade. Sparks fly and Volken's vast muscle and sinew repel the sword and the giant continues to press his attack in. HIs fist comes around again, trailing energy behind it as the shock dusters crackle and spark and bear down on Caine.

"your loss!" he bellows, deep voice further distorted and amplified as it echoes in his helm.

Athena (159) has posed:
"I know," she whispers, her tone sad and on the brink of tears. "I know. You're leaving soon, aren't you?" she pauses. "Promise me you'll be back. And when you do return, we'll marry. Right?"

Varen looks disappointed. "We can't speak on his behalf?" he folds his arms.

"You never know," the baron quips back at him. "It could be yours." He dodges deftly, and his blow will glance aside. He suddenly dashes forward, positioning himself behind Volken, swiping down and outward at his ankles, hoping to limit his mobility.

Ellari Zin has posed:
"No, Volk specifically told me that he wanted to speak to Jorn himself." Ellari replies. "Remember, they are helping us, so we shouldn't push our luck."

Volken Mons has posed:
"Naw."

Volken's deep voice is surprisingly cheerful given the situation at hand. Sure there is disappointment that his last blow didn't land but...a brawl is always a reason to be happy, isn't it? His expression may not be visible but there's a certain energy here as he pivots, turning about as the blade cuts into his tunic and scores along the flesh there, dragginb lood forth before being knocked away by the beskar armor. as the huge man turns. His body wobbles but he doesn't fall

He pivots, weight shifting as he leans back and then forward again, driving an enromous fist down like a piston for Caine to try and catch the baron before he can get up from his low attack again...and attempting to literally crush him to the ground with the force of an energized hammer.

"Everybody should want to be my friend. I'm great at parties!"

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn says softly, "If you don't. Your mother has someone in her employ that may want to take that spot." Jorn says softly. Then he nods seriously, "But yeah. We'll get married soon." Jorn tries to leave out any words dealing with travel. OR at least, leaving the plaent. "I need to go. Not necessarily off planet, but yeah. I do need to go." He holds her closer. "Show me my faith is not misplaced nor has it been," Jorn says softly to her. Then he will try to pull away to focus on the task at hand. He will try to be mindful of her presence.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Damn...!" Varen grumbles. "He's taking a while," he says, "Are you sure you don't want to go out around Sundari while we wait? Perhaps he won't even show!"

"I... disagree...!" Caine is barely able to take the brunt of the behemoth's attack with his beskar gauntlet, and avoid getting crushed into the ground. He struggles violently for a few seconds before breaking free, winded as he stumbles away from Volken. He takes a moment to compose himself, and then lifts his sword again. "Is that all?" He taunts.

She seems bothered when Jorn says that if she doesn't, her mother has someone else in mind. "What? No," she says, "I won't have it. Your faith isn't displaced, I still love you." A beat. "Let me go with you," she says. "Please."

Volken Mons has posed:
The words have barely left Caine and Volken's enormous fist is filling up his field of vision. The behemoth didn't even wait for him to finish speaking or posturing and comes lunging in to press the advantage of his previous strike. His movements looming his body in like an incoming meteor and the crackle of energy around his knuckle dusters sparking into the air.

He leans into the punch - bearing down with his full body weight into the strike and spearing no strength as he aims right for Caine's helmeted head.

"Agree to disagree!"

Ellari Zin has posed:
"If he doesn't show, I am not going to help him any more." Ellari answers, shrugging. She shakes her head. "No, I will wait here. If you want to go, feel free."

Another message is sent to the Jorn. |What's taking so long? What kind of stop are you making?

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn sends off another message to Ellari, <I'm on my way.> He turns his way to go back to the ship. "I wouldn't be the one you'd need to win over. I'm not sure you can win that battle, despite my faith," he says to Revara knowing that's the simple truth of the matter. Some bridges can be burned byeond repair. But, he will wait to get on that line to head back to the space port. The guard still up. Although he will definitely check for bugs.

"Tell your mother, and father, that I'm officially the in-law." Jorn just wants to do it to anger one. The other is more of formality. An actual anouncement, but he'll keep that to himself.

Athena (159) has posed:
Caine stumbles backwards again, barely able to keep his balance as the behemoth of a Mandalorian bears down on him, swing his fist at his head. His knuckledusters meet the beskar of his helmet with a clang, and at the last second, he gains enough of his bearing to pull a small dagger out and attempt to bury it in between the cracks in Volken's armor.

Varen doesn't leave, though. Instead, he sits down with a sigh. "Where do you think he is..." he asks, his tone distant and distracted.

"You have allies I don't know about," she says, though she doesn't sound surprised. "And they don't like me." she sounds disappointed and hurt, but also not surprised at that either.

She doesn't protest when he turns to leave to go to spaceport, though. "Please hurry back," she says softly.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Finally, a response. Ellari glances at it, then looks back up Varen. "Probably on the train to the port. He said he's on his way."

She quickly replies back: |How far out are you?

Volken Mons has posed:
WIth his arms exposed, there's actually quite abit of his body visible and exposed to attack as scars and burns along those tree trunk dwarfing limbms would show alongside the swirling knots of tattoos. Thus when the attempt is made to search out a vulnerable spot it'snot quite that hard to do - though the effects are probably not quite as effectiv e as Caine would like to see. The knife digs in, chunking into the behemoths meaty torso but Volken presses in, huffing like a gigantic bantha and lurching in with the weight, mass and strength of a Dowutin behemoth.

He closes in, swinging his other fist around again in a wide arc that comes lurching in for Caine's flank in a wild arcing pass that swigns around like an incoming speedster threatening to ram into him. This time he says nothing, no quips, opting to instead focus his full attention on trying to press an advantage and put Caine to the ground.

Jorn (418) has posed:
"My new ally would probably like you. You'll meet them some day," Jorn says this as he nods. "That's the hope. I got half the galaxy wanting to kill me right now. Most of the other half wants to jail me. I'd like to get back and continue with my life. Restraining bolts optional," Jorn says not liking the odds, but he'll deal with him. Then he waits for the train. "You know how I feel," Jorn says that and then waits. He gets on the train the moment it arrives. And when he's far enough from sight will check himself for any trackers. Anything like that. Just in case. They could be from Revara, Mother Dearest, or some of Mom's hitters.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Finally," Varen says, shaking his head. "What could have taken him so long.."

Caine finally collapses under Volken's fist. He struggles to get up, but the other hulking Mandalorian will be able to tell he's weakening. Now, he just has to keep him down for at least five seconds, and he'll have won this match...

Revara frowns. "Who is it..." she asks. But Jorn will board the train before he can give her an answer. Once Jorn is seated, he'll take a pass at looking himself over for trackers or bugs. Nothing, thankfully. Perhaps Revara could be trusted fully after all.

Volken Mons has posed:
With a heavy *TWHOOM*, Volken's body comes crashign down towards Caine, dropping onto him from above and leading with a gigantic elbow for a tremendous drop that shakes the fighting area around them both.

He rolls after the impact, adjusting his tremendous weight and moving his mass forward to try and lean into him and press down.

His gargantuan strength surges to life now, as if his strikes were not truly exhibitions of what he's capable of if he has his hands -on- something and able to leverage his inhuman might.

"Now now..." he rumbles, voice dark as he looms over The Baron and slowly suqeezes to hold him in place.

"Stay still. We don't want you to hurt yourself..."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn doesn't sleep, but he sits a little easier. While on the train he will shut off a single message. <You better stay alive, too.> That's to Revara. He waits for a resposne before shutting it off. Jorn sits until the train stops. Quietly, he gets off the train heading toward the destination at port. It's time to leave this planet, sleep a little bit then get to the hard part: Training.

Ellari Zin has posed:
When Jorn finally arrives, Ellari immediately questions him. "So you're going to tell me what that stop was about, right? It took you long enough." she remarks, hands on her hips. "Did you read my previous message? About challenging the twins to a duel?"

Athena (159) has posed:
The baron continues to struggle, but he's unsuccessful in breaking free of Volken's grip. Five, four, three, two, one... and someone strikes a gong, signifying that the match is over and won. "You -fool-!" he seethes. "Don't you know? Lady Solstice plans to seduce Jorn with her plans and marriage to her daughter! She's probably already has one foot in the door! You don't even know where he is, do you??"

<Be safe> Revara messages him back. <And tell me once you've gotten to wherever it is you're going.>

Jorn (418) has posed:
"I was making sure I wasn't being tailed. I've had two people watching me, a woman that claims they want me to succeed, and those are just the potential threats today," Jorn says honestly, as none of this is a lie. "I was making sure I didn't have any threats trailing me. I may soon, but not now," he only says the last part because there are a lot of unknowns about resources. He sighs a bit, "I feel like I'm missing a resource method," something just feels off. Honestly, Jorn's putting it to Lady Soltice's hitter from the Cantina that trailed him. "I need to re-reach the message. I've been trying to not get shot at the immediate moment."

Volken Mons has posed:
"If you would stop being -you- and just offer to help me -straight- instead of all of this game playing with you and your twin then maybe we coudl do something about this situation easier!" hisses Volken, leaning down and rumbling his voice by Caine's head. "You're going to tell me everything like you promised and -help- me get this situation under control!"

He roughly releases Caine now and then pushes up, starting to loom up to his full height onw. He then reaches up and plucks the dagger free and tosses it to the ground next to the baron.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari doesn't seem fully convinced that he's telling her everything, But she accepts it for now. "Hmph. Fine, let's just get going." She starts preparing her ship for launch.

"You didn't answer my question about dueling the twins. You should challenge them to a duel, if you think they're the ones who framed you. I would gladly fight by your side. Tell them that if they win, you will relinquish the darksaber to them, accept responsibility for stealing it in the first place, and never speak to Revara again. But if you win, -you- will keep it and they will confess to framing you. If they refuse to fight, brand them as cowards. And make sure all this is done very publicly, of course. My only request is that if we win, you agree to yielding the saber if another from House Vizsla challenges you."

Jorn (418) has posed:
"That's a solid plan, but that's not a normal weapon. I need to figure out how to wield it," Jorn speaks honestly. He remembers how heavy the blad efelt in his hand despite how light the hilt feels in his hand, on his head, etc.

"I do like those terms. I like them a bit," Jorn admits that the plan is solid. "They may not allow me to yield it. Part of the blade's history, I know there's more to it than being a simple blade. It holds powers and rules. They'd have to best me," Jorn remember's disarming Revara's brother. He wanted Jorn to kill him. A similar mentality would go out to the blade until he is beeaten. They may stack the deck against him, but the rules will still be followed.

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Of course they will." Ellari replies, rolling her eyes a bit. "And you will determine when they have bested you." she explains. "All you have to do is put on enough of a show. They'll believe it."

Athena (159) has posed:
"I did it!" He finally grumbles, "I did it because I don't think Jorn deserves Revara, nor is he proper match for her. Her choosing him was emotional and circumstantial, not based in any rational thought or fact."

He stands. "And now, because of him, her mother has chosen to involve herself. If it had been any other honorable Mandalorian from House Vizsla she would have steered clear and minded her own business. But Jorn is naive, poorly versed in our culture, and nearly aruetti for all intents and purposes. She'll sweep him under her wing, and make him her puppet, and you'll regret the day you ever decided to trust him in any capacity at all." Then he turns on his heel and storms out of the banquet hall, fuming.

Volken Mons has posed:
"Yes I -know- it was a spur of emotions. -Everybody- there saw that!" Volken stalks after Caine, keeping his voice low but moving after him to get out of the ring and let their argument continue without attracting attention by holding up the next duel.

"But now look at what's happened! Thaelin's father might be dead because of how everything went up like a bomb over this! Of course someone like Lady Solstice would take advantage! You -caused- this so you're going to help me fix it!"

Ellari Zin has posed:
The Amber Clad's engines roar to life as the ship lifts away from the port of Sundari. As they exit the atmosphere, Ellari sends a message to Volken.

<<Leaving for Jedha now. Hope you're still alive. If you are, meet us there.>>

With that, the hyperdrive fires and they are one their way to the ancient city.

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn is happy to be leaving for Jedha. "I'm going to sleep once we're in the air. I need the rest," Jorn knows the anxiety with him will slide off of him like a weight. Then he'll need to sleep. Even if it's quick. He just needs to put his guard down, even just a little bit.

Athena (159) has posed:
The baron finally turns to Volken, glaring at him. "I will do no such thing," he says sharply. "I will fix this mess, how I see fit, for Revara's sake, and if you make an even bigger mess attempting to resolve this crisis--" He draws a breath in sharply. "You will regret it."

He then turns away from Volken, and continues walking. "I'm leaving," he says. "Don't come looking for me."

Volken Mons has posed:
"You idiot! It's better for us to work together if we're serious about this! You're goign to just make things worse then you already have!"

But Volken doesn't follow at this point. His communicator goes off and he sees the message from Ellari and he sighs and pus his hands on his hips. "I gotta do everything for this mess.... I need t'find Thaelin.."

Athena (159) has posed:
As Volken watches the baron storm off indignantly, he'll be reminded Thaelin's likely back inside, watching the rest of the bridal duels play out, as is traditionally done in Mandalorian culture at weddings.

Hopefully he'll be willing to spare Volken a minute or two, or perhaps more.

Volken Mons has posed:
Volken is left to consider things carefully for a few moments. Caine admitted to him that he's responsible but it might be too late or not even matter at this point and they may need that evidence anyway once it's all sorted out. Now Caine's effectively indicated he intends to fix the situation himself. Nobody seems to want Lady Solstice to come out on top .. so letting the situation just play itself out is not out of consideration for the immense Mandalorian.

But there is Thaelin, his wife, Er'gi, and others that are being dragged into this to consider... Maybe once he'd have just shrugged at it all but now.

"Nngh. Damn.." he grumbles before turning to enter the hall in search of the groom and once finding him, approaches him while taking a quick glance to see how the fights are going.

Athena (159) has posed:
The fights are going as expected. There's two Mandalorian maidens in the ring now, going hard at one another with twin daggers. Thaelin only looks mildly interested in what's going on. When Volken approaches, he gets up from his chair and motions for the hulking other Mandalorian to follow him outside in the gazebo where they could talk more privately.

"Did he tell you the truth?" he asks. "What did he say?"

Volken Mons has posed:
"He admitted to doing it. Pretty much everything I'd guessed at turned out to be right. He's jealous of Revara's engagement to Jorn and like most of us, sees that as only happening because of her spur of the moment emotions and Jorn just being kind of roped along. I guess at the time he saw doign what he did as a way to split the two apart but I don't think he expected for your mother to get involved and see this as a means to seize some sort of control."

Volken reaches up to put his helmet onto his head, now, voice becoming more muffled, "I need to head t'head off world. I have some contacts that might help give the evidence we need to fully shut all o'this down but Caine's implied he's going to try and 'fix this' his own way. You gonna be able to handle yourself with 'em?"

Athena (159) has posed:
Thaelin sighs, looking downcast. "I had a suspicion," he murmurs softly. "Neither of them particularly cared for the Dark Saber, and Caine even more so than his twin." He shakes his head, "Well, none of us did. He can't share all the blame for this," he says.

"I understand," he says, "I'll handle it. Remember, you'll need to make a bargain for a larger portion of Sanza's dowry at some point. There's a bit more time now - my father has woken from his comatose, I just heard the news. He'll fight my mother tooth and nail to distribute it fairly, but we're still going to need your help, eventually."

Ellari Zin has posed:
The trip to Jedha will be mostly uneventful, and before long Jorn and Ellari are landing at the starport in Jedha City. Ellari sends a message to Volken to let him know they have docked safely at their destination.

Volken Mons has posed:
"I tol'you and Sanza that I don't knwo how to do all that and your mother's already on me about what I intend to do with the title and land your father promised me. If you want me to put my name in, I will vod, but you two and yoru father need to come up with the script and just give it to me. Figure out how much you want me to bid or what I need to say and then just say I gave the okay. If I need to get more money I have an idea of how but I can't be two places at the same time."

Volken grimaces, reaching into his armor to feel where Caine struck him with the dagger and withdraws his hand showing blood. "I need to get this taken care of. I can't tell you exactly how long I"ll be gone and where I'm going so just....do what you have to do."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn is just sleeping until they start to hit atmosphere. That's when he'll wake up to look at the planet for the first time. Justt figure out his plan from there.

Athena (159) has posed:
Thaelin nods. "We'll work something out and send you a draft within the next week or so," he tells Volken. He pauses. "Stop by the Bastille -- the guards will let you know if you let them know you're there on my behalf. Take whatever you need - medical supplies, food, weapons." Another pause, his brows knitting together with concern. "Good luck," he says, "I wish you jate'kara..." He hugs the behemoth briefly, then starts heading back inside to the bridal duels.

Ellari and Jorn may notice that what looks like five security droids with badges they won't recognize along with a couple of starport staff are approaching the vessel. They don't look very pleased.

Volken Mons has posed:
While he doesn't reject the hug, a hug while he has a stab wound isn't exactly comfortable so he makes sure it's brief.

"Thank you vod." he rumbles before leaving to do just that. A proper re supply of his ammo and armor and something for the wound and then finding passage off world to attempt to catch up to the others is now in order.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari rolls her eyes, already? They've only just arrived at the starport. Well, perhaps Volk could just speak to them on her ship.

She glances over at Jorn. "Well rested enough?" she asks, sending a message via commlink to Master Volk.

    |Jorn and I have arrived at the starport. However, the local authorities do not seem friendly. Would you meet us at the port? We can speak on my ship. I'm docked at bay E14.

Athena (159) has posed:
Volken won't find stopping by the Bastille to take very long - Thaelin's word is true. The guards let him in, and show him to the keep's cache. He'll be able to find everything he needs easily. And thankfully, the spaceport is close to the keep. He'll probably find himself in and out within an hour...unless he stops for a bathroom break.

Ellari might be slightly displeased to find that Volk doesn't respond right away. Additionally, the authorities are banging on the entryway to the Amber Clad. "Jedha spaceport authorities and BPIC," they say, "your vessel was marked for a standard customs check, as per spaceport policies implemented a month ago."

Volken Mons has posed:
Once he's off Mandalore it's hard for Volken to not just decide to keep going and head back off into the greater galaxy again. A job with that hot rich noble woman from that Canto Bight family sounds pretty good potentially. There is that potential kidnapping and child murder conspiracy to unravel though which might end up being even more work...

He ultimately pushes such thoughts aside though. Unless truly enraged, Volken is someone that sees things through to the end.

<<I'm here.>> he messages Ellari upon landing on the transport ship he hired to make the journey. He assumes they haven't been here that much longer. They only had the head start of his fight with Caine and talk with Thaelin after all.

<<Meet me at the temple.>>

He moves to disembark the ship - unless also halted.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari groans and goes to talk to the the officials. A month ago? Of course, just her luck that they are being especially annoying now.

"Look, we are not planning on staying long," she tells them. "And we may not even need to leave the port."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn just stays silent and wait. He's not trying to rock the boat when it comes to anything. Fly under the radar, that's the plan. That's the hope. that's all he wants to do right now.

Athena (159) has posed:
Volken, surprisingly, won't be immediately halted. However, when he heads for the structure that marks the exit of the spaceport, he'll see its swarming with those same droids that have stopped Ellari. And... they're picking and choosing people at random, it would appear, to pat down and give higher scrutiny before they leave the port. It's odd, this had not been the case last time. Either way,the line to exit is really, really long ...

"New policy says you cannot be planetside with any FUC for longer than thirty minutes," the droid drones. "So unless you're leaving in the next twenty, we're searching your ship."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Hmph. Twenty-five. It's only been five minutes, not ten." Ellari points out, glancing at the time. "I thought you droids were supposed to be better at that than humans."

She turns to her commlink again, sending Volk another more urgent message.

    |Looks like you're going to have to come here within the next half hour, they won't let us stay longer than that.

Volken Mons has posed:
When Ellari doesn't answer, Volken pauses and turns to look over the spaceport and then begins a steady approach towards the docking area she had given him beforehand. He notes the swarming droids and frowns lightly. Things are rather different then he was here last. Something's likely happened...

Soon enough, though, he sees her ship and the droids around it...and he quickens his pace to begin approaching it. His helmet is on and secured and he is indeed armed but his weapons and gear are holstered. Not that it matters to much in making him seem safe' given the size of him.

"Hey! Wha's the hold up!?"

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn stills his face and decides to let Ellari do the talking here. He figures she has the better chances of actually doing the talking here compared to the droids. "When did the new rules come into play?" hhe just wants to rule something out.

Athena (159) has posed:
No response from Volk. But its only been five minutes...

"We're searching your ship," The droid says, "Now open up before--" but then Volken is approaching.

"You are not authorized on these premises unless you are the owner of this vessel," one of the droids says. It then glances at his armor. "Is that beskar?" it asks. "I would have you know that while beskar as a means of defensive precaution is allowed, any beskar or beskar alloy that can be used for aggressive forms of assault are strictly prohibited," it says, pointing.

"These rules were put into place a month ago," another droid says in response to Jorn. "Now let us see the cargo hold before we call the constabulary for noncompliant behavior towards authorities."

Volken Mons has posed:
"Yeah well I left my Beskar Sword and War Hammer at home. So unless you plan on arresting me for head buttin someone I'm in the clear." snaps Volken. He then raises his voice towards Ellari, "We don't have time for this! We've got a limit here. Let 'em search ya so we can get a move on! You're not haulin' contraband or something are you?"

He then asides to the droid, "We're here to see the folk at the temple for an important meeting! If you hold us up I'll have you lot dismantled and melted into scrap that I"ll use to decorate her ship."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"And what will the constabulary do?" Ellari asks, arching a brow at them. "And you said we could have twenty-five more minutes. I have contacted Master Trassa Volk. He should be arriving soon, and then once we have spoken to him we should be on our way quickly. Send more droids to stand here and monitor us, if it makes the officials comfortable. But fine, if he doesn't arrive quickly enough, -then- you may search the cargo hold, -after- we are allowed the specified time."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn nods firmly and stands next to Ellari. He's just there to show support. She's a better negotiator than him. This is why he's silent, plus he figures Ellari would have the patience to deal with cold droid logic. Plus, Jorn's in a good mood for all the sleep. It was a nice change of pace.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Well did you bring any weapons besides your head? Too bad it probably doesn't do much of anything besides deal blunt force trauma," it quips. "Anyway we'll need to see your weapons and run diagnostics on them to check for traces of beskar. And I assure you scrapping any of us will result your detainment for at least seventy two hours at best and immediate deportation at worst."

Volk -still- hasnt responded. One of the droids checks the time. "Fine, fifteen more minutes, and then we're searching your vessel, or you're being detained."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Okay, so let me get this straight. We aren't allowed to stay for more than half an hour without being inspected. If we don't submit to being inspected, we get detained, as in, not allowed to leave. So we can't stay, and we can't leave? You do realize the two are opposites? Which is it?" Ellari questions. "And what happens if the inspection takes longer than half an hour?"

She glances up as Volken approaches and starts threatening them, smirking slightly. That would be a rather amusing situation...however, it might not be very useful...

Volken Mons has posed:
"Fine? You see these?" Volken points a huge thumb at the massive twin repeater cannons strapped to his back. "The rest you can just look at me but don't touch. A Mandalorian's weapons and armor are sacred to him. That means look but don't touch." He holds his immense arms up, deliberately flexing his muscles, causing the rugged flesh to bulge to sizes that dwarf the heads of astromech droids. His gauntlets and vambraces are visible though. The flamethrowers mounts, whipcords and generators for shields present upon them as his custom tools of choice.

"There? Nice and pretty. Now. We have a meeting with a Jedi -master-. Master Volk. You heard of him? Cuz I'm a hero here. I helped save that temple not long back."

He raises his voice towards Jorn and Ellari. "Hey! Come out here! I got somethign to tell you both. -Especially- Jorn!"

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn raises a brow under his eeybrow. "Lead the way, Ellari?" Deep down he knows some of the gunfire, and explosions, are from Volken. It's just something he's absolutely confident in. His attention goes from the droid to Ellari. "Well, this is going to be interesting."

Athena (159) has posed:
"Confiscation," one of the droids clarifies. "You are not allowed to be planetside and possibly in possession of any FUC for longer than thirty minutes without being inspected by BPIC," it drones. "You now have ten minutes left."

The droid inspects the repeater cannons for less than a second before wagging a finger at Volken. "Oh no, now -that- is a FUC. Those are not allowed on Jedha, not even in the spaceport. Now, if you'll excuse me, we will be taking those into custody." It then attempts to remove the twin repeater cannons off of Volken's back.

Volken Mons has posed:
"I said -don't touch-. A Mandalorian's weapons are his religion. That means you're being sacrireligous -and- on a planet that's supposed t'be about a bunch of reigions. Plus this is expensive."

Volken's voice is calm, but his movements are more direct as he reaches forward while turning, moving to clamp a huge hand onto the droid's head and start squeezing - though he doesn't outright attempt to crush yet.

"What's happened here? It wasn't this uptight before. What's going on?"

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Wait, that didn't answer my question. You confiscate it if the inspection takes too long? But how is that fair?" Ellari asks. "Couldn't you just purposefully take your time, so that your government can 'temporarily' confiscate goods? Except, you know, it wouldn't -really- be temporary." she points out.

She watches with amusement as Volken grabs the droid. "How was the wedding Volken?" she asks. "I imagine we need to speak. But we have other troubles for the moment. Perhaps we should simply...skip the line? You know where the Temple is, right?" she asks, glancing over at an unoccupied landspeeder nearby.

She sends another message to Volk.

    |If you do not arrive here to speak with us at the port within the next ten minutes, we are coming to you...whether the authorities like it or not.

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn just waits for the show to begin. "This is going to be good, isn't it?" he knows Volken has a way with words. So, he'sexpecting something to happen. What? he's not sure. Basically, Jorn just wonders how the world could think he's the chaotic one when Volken's around. However, that's what he likes about Volken.

Athena (159) has posed:
the droid does not dignify Ellari with a succinct response. "BPIC will take the time necessary and do whatever is needed to ensure the safety of Jedha's civilians by abiding strictly by our new precautionary policies," is all it says.

Volk finally replies, <I just got out of a meeting regarding a grant for the Peace and Serenity Gardens to be built in the Square of Supplicants. I should be there soon> he says.

"Ow, ow!" the droid says, lifting its hands in an attempt to pry Volken off. It doesnt really succeed, and the droids helm is left sparking with a sizable dent. "We have new mandates that will further enforce the safety and peace around Jedha! And don't you try to play me! That's just an excuse for you to carry your guns around like some kind of emotional support animal!"

Volken Mons has posed:
"I'm a Mandalorian. Of course my weapons are emotional support animals. So are my muscles." remarks Volken, tone deadpan but he at least doesn't try further squeezing the droids head, as if his point was already made by his accidental denting of it.

"Our weapons stay with us. The last time I was here I was at a banquet and got jumped by -local- gang members who don't give a damn about your regulations! Besides, you'd just damage 'em all clumsy like."

His gaze goes towards Jorn and Ellari, body langauge impatient even though his helm is on and so his expression is well hidden.

"Come on down!"

Ellari Zin has posed:
    Ellari glances at the message.

    |Well you have five more minutes

"You didn't answer my questions." she points out to the droid. "Perhaps you -should- call the constabulary. Maybe he'd be better at telling us what we want to know."

With that, she starts down the walkway from her ship toward Volken as he summons them down. "Come Jorn, let's hear what Volken has to say. We have a few more minutes."

Jorn (418) has posed:
A chuckle, Jorn starts to move on down after Volken's voice booms. Then he looks at Ellari as they start to move toward Volken's ship. "I mean, this could be a fun show," he doesn't want to disrupt much. Also, the last few times he started shooting, things did not go his way. And so, Jorn's just watching this time. Picking his spot, if there is one.

Athena (159) has posed:
"That wont be happening," the droid grumbles, "Crime rates have lowered as of late and BPIC is working hard to kwep it that way. And I'm sorry but we simply cannot allow that type of weapon on Jedha. You either leave, or we confiscate it. Guards..!" The other droids suddenly train their guns on Volken. "Non compliance with BPIC authorities is considered a crime," it drones. "Please cooperate or we will be forced to make you comply."

Volk doesn't reply to Ellari. Presumably he's enroute. The droids dont answer her either, they're mostly preoccupied with Volken now.

Except for one. It swivels towards Jorn. "You," it says, "you haven't really said anything for or against our mandates. Show us everything you brought planetside." And it trains its gun on him.

Volken Mons has posed:
"DId you reach Master Volk?"

Volken first addresses Ellari and Jorn as they draw near, only quieting and frowning as the weapons are trained on him and Jorn.

"I'm not going into Jedha unarmed, di'kutla. If I leave my weapons here..."

Volken holds up his hand and flexes it, cracking his knuckles with a sound like stone being broken, "I might actually be -more- dangerous... hmm?"

He then points that same huge hand towards the droid whose head he casually dented. "With my guns on me....I won't feel inclined to grab anyone! It's good for everyone involved! Now, I just want to have a word with that one.." he points at Jorn. "Let 'em come to me..."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Yes, presumably he is on his way now." Ellari replies.

But then...THEN they had to draw weapons on Volken. Now they should've known better than this. You mess with one Mandalorian, you mess with -all- of them...

Immediately, her weapons are also drawn, dual blaster pistols and both are ready to fire if necessary. But she doesn't, just yet. "Touch -any- of my allies and you're scrapped." she threatens. "Now you have one last chance to drop this and let us wait for Master Volk so that we might speak with him and be on our way. You claim to be so keen on keeping the 'peace' and the 'safety', and yet here you are, the -first- to threaten with weapons drawn. Doesn't seem very 'peaceful' now does it?"

Athena (159) has posed:
"There is no need for weapons," one of the droids intones, "there are many Force sects here that can and will protect you!"

The droid training its guns on Jorn does not lower its weapon. "Compliance required," it says, "show us all cargo, including what you carry on your person, and we will not have to resort to force."

Volken Mons has posed:
"Let those sorcerers protect a Mandalorian? I don't think so. I fought side by side them at that damn banquet to protect the goods of that temple. If my guns and armor were good enough then they're good enough now. We're going into the city to see the guy we came to see and then we're leaving. I wasns't kidding when I said that weapons are our religion and this damn planet is supposed to be all about religion so beat it or I'll compress you all into a child's ball."

Volken has had enough. This whole thing has dragged him half way across the galaxy and he hasn't even had a chance to yell at Jorn yet!

He starts moving forward, intending on turning to make his way away from the ship.

Jorn (418) has posed:
"But they -are- our religion," Jorn says and holds up his hands as he looks up at everything. The man just drinks in the sights. "I'm not going to remove my weapons, but am I brandishing them? No. I am not. I am not threatening you," he feels the guns just start to lower on him.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari doesn't lower her weapons, but starts to follow Volken. She'll let them fire the first bolt...

Athena (159) has posed:
"You will not enter Jedha with those weapons!" the lead droid cries as soon as Volken starts walking away. "If you're so attached to the idea of a weapon, you can leave yours with us and purchase a -licensed- one once inside the city!"

It chases the hulking Mandalorian, taking out its weapon and attempting to stun him!

"Remove them or face arrest," the droid says, moving to cuff Jorn.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Well as it turns out, shooting at Volken was a -big- mistake for that droid. Ellari immediately opens fire on it with her pistols as it chases her friend, filling its body and head with holes.

Then she turns to face the other droids, including the one trying to arrest Jorn.

    "Anyone else?" she challenges.

    Look, she warned them, okay?

Volken Mons has posed:
The blaster bolt thuds into the back of Volken's exposed shoulder, scorching the skin, but barely quaking his body. He pauses, as if noticing it after the fact and then slowly turns. He shoudl consider wearing armor there but then again ti seems liek his superhumanly tough hide is doing the job so why hide the guns?

He does, however, see Ellari react with lightning speed and he just stands there for a moment to see if the droids will back off or not with the obvious show of force that had happened.

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn smirks as he expects things to go south pretty quickly. Even before Ellari speaks up to emphasize the formerly unsaid.

Seeing Volken take a blaster bolt makes him wince, but i'ts more for the droids. "Shouldn't have done that," he'll say just nonchalantly. A smirk on his face under the helm.

Athena (159) has posed:
One of Ellari's shots ricochets off the droid and flies into the cart of a spaceport vendor selling glowing lollies. He screams and abandons his cart, and several bystanders nearby start to look panicked and afraid.

When the droid collapses, it sparks and then suddenly explodes -- sending shards of flying debris towards the already panicking civilians.

Thankfully, just at that moment, Master Volk arrives, and with a simple wave of his hand, the crisis is averted.

He does not look very pleased to see Ellari, Volken, or Jorn, though. "What is the meaning of this," he asks, his tone clipped.

Volken Mons has posed:
"Heeeeey! Buddy!"

Volken spreads his enormous arms out, dragging the colossal limbs wide as he turns towards Master Volk. "I'm so sorry I haven't been back to Jedha in so long. I got wrapped up with crime families in Canto Bight and then rescuin' Jedi Padawans on Coruscant and dont' get me started on trouble back home, lemme tell ya. I aint even seen my wife and my boy!"

One can almost see the smarmy grin -through- the helmet hiding his bearded features.

"You remember Annelia and Cayde, right??"

His vast arms lower as he thumbs back at the droids. "They're trying to confiscate our religious paraphenlia. We can't pray without our guns y'know but since you're -here- ... then it won't be a problem for us anymore!"

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn just keeps the hands up as everything just goes into motion. A chuckle comes from his lips. "We were being peaceful," granted he means the royal "We." Then he looks between Volken and Ellari, "We were simply looking to have a conversation," Jorn says safely thinking it may not be good to lower the hands just yet.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari shrugs. "It shot first." she replies simply, nodding toward the remains of the destroyed droid.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Of course," The Jedi huffs, "as long as you can sit still and be patient," he says to Volken, hurrying past the hulking Mandalorian.

"It was a BPIC droid," Volk says, unimpressed by the circumstances, "it would not have shot unless it felt you were a threat, or were breaking the law, or perhaps both. Now," he says, "you shall have one, but first," he says to Jorn. "I must take care of this... mess," he mutters. He turns to the remaining droids, and bows politely. "Officers," he says, "these are my guests, may I have word?" The droids glance at Jorn, then Volk, and then all of them step away, to discuss the matter of their cargo and weapons privately.

Volken Mons has posed:
"This was your idea.." rumbles Volken, turning towards Ellari and eyeing Jorn now and also, notably, switching to speaking in full Man'doa...

"So whatever it is you think he can do for this situation...make it plain and make it quick. You should know though that Caine admitted to putting the Dark Saber on your ship to me and he plans to solve this mess that Lady Solstice is causing by being involved, himself...."

Volken pointedly looks at Jorn now. His helmet is on so his face can't be seen but his body language shifts. The jovial, chaotic behemoth is gone and something more serious has replaced ihim.

"Revara did -not- propose to you because she's in love with you, vod. She's emotionally comrpomised and entangled by her relationship with her mother. She proposed to you in a moment of emotional break. She'd just fiinished trying to -kill me- or -injure me- in an attempt to assure I wouldn't be involved int hings so she had a chance to impress Lady Solstice. Her mother is -poisonous- and attempting to use the situation you've been draggedi into because Caine is madly jealous. Nobody cares about the Dark Saber, vod. It's a symbol that alot of people wish they could do away with but you're stuck in the middle. You need to decide where you stand because we're riskin' alot talin' to the Jedi. But whiel we have their attention? You better use it well. Understand?"

Ellari Zin has posed:
"They threatened us first, -and- shot first." Ellari retorts. "Is that not enough for you to admit that we actually -weren't- the aggressors this time? Or is this your own prejudice talking?" she challenges.

But when they start to step away, she frowns. "Where are you going? You already cleaned up the mess. We just need to speak to you briefly, then we can be on our way. You yourself said you wanted to meet with Jorn in person...so here we are."

She scoffs when Volken relays the news that Caine finally confessed. "It doesn't surprise me, I had my suspicions. It certainly seems like the sort of low thing he would do. Has he admitted this to anyone else?" she asks.

Jorn (418) has posed:
"I told everyone it wasn't me," Jorn says just feeling a little more sane having admitting that. Then he looks at Volken then to the Jedi master. "Everything that happens is on him," Jorn says that matter of factly. It would be Caine's legacy that would take the hit, no Jorn's.

"Also, Revara proposed long before her mother got into this situation," although Jorn will pause for a moment, "But I don't know what her new end game is. That's the part that worries me." Then he nods, "I know it's a symbol. One that is thrusted upon me, but this is the hand I was dealt. I am working with it," and he will nod when it comes to the Jedi and having their attention.

Jorn will turn and wait for a moment. "I do seek training," he admits softly. It's one of the few things that actually makes sense in this whole mess.

Athena (159) has posed:
Volk ignores Ellari and continues to move away from the Mandalorians so that he can speak with the BPIC droids privately.

While the Mandalorians discuss among themselves their own matters, the Jedi master continues conversing with the BPIC agents.

More than half an hour passes, and if Ellari, Jorn, or Volken look over at the Jedi Master, they'll see he's still talking with them. Seems it's taking awhile for him to get clearance for them... and all their possessions.

Volken Mons has posed:
"Dont' antagonize him. Tehse sorcerers try and live by their rules and codes of honor. At least we got 'im here. Let them sort it out and then we can do what we have t'do..." advises Volken to Ellari.

But the frown is practically palpable as he turns to look back at Jorn.

"And you... You're not -listening- vod. Lady Solstice wasn't physically present, no, but everything Revara was -doing- tracks back to her connection with her mother and her state of mind. Think about it. And don't assume this is going to just blowback on Caine. Both twins are smart and manipulative -and- you also have to account for Lady Solstice's involvement now. You're a game piece vod. You're being moved around. You need to make a decision on what -you're- going to do now."

After a pause he then answers Ellari, "Just to me. The only way I got him to do it was by beating him in a duel at the wedding. If I had of lost I'd have to have sworn to assist him and do things his way. So that should tell you how serious that was..."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"I'm not antagonizing anyone." Ellari argues. "Just being rational." She looks a bit disappointed when she hears that Caine only confessed to Volken. "Hmm...then we we still need that duel...to force him to confess publicly."

However, after a half hour goes by, she becomes impatient. What was taking him so long just to get permission to have a conversation with them? It didn't make sense. "Hmph, this shouldn't be taking so long."

She marches over to Volk and the droids. "Master Volk, pardon my intrusion but I believe there has been some kind of misunderstanding. We do not need to go into the city any more. Now that you are here, we can simply have our discussion here and now, so that we might be on our way quickly."

Jorn (418) has posed:
"I know I'm a pawn. I've been a pawn of many other things." There's a pause, Jorn is going to ask something. Sadly, the question gets answered. Having a holorecording of a confession would have been great. He has a few ideas, but a duel has to happen first.

Jorn will look at Volken, "I'm here because I'm making my own moves." Because while Revara is an X factor, probably heavily influenced by Mom, he knows Lady Solstice has her own motions. Caine has his own motions. And probably three other players are on the field as well. Jorn knows he has to do a few things for himself.

Silently, he sighs and wonders about trapping supplies. An idea is slowly coming together. He's still connecting pieces. Trying to figure out the end game, the final motions to it, but Jorn has a feeling trapping supplies would be needed.

Athena (159) has posed:
Volk ignores Ellari. Again.

But when he's finally done speaking with the droids, he turns to her. "I came here to speak with Jorn of Bakura," he says calmly, "you are not him."

And he brushes past her, heading straight for Jorn. "Come," he says, beckoning him, "Some of the younglings from the Temple have accompanied me to help with bringing your belongings to the Temple. We will have our discussion there."

From behind the Kel Dor Jedi, a small landspeeder piloted by a droid pulls up, bringing two of the most darling looking younglings any of the Mandos will have seen in their entire lives. Two girls, one of them a green skinned Rodian with large and irresistibly adorable gleaming black eyes the size of teacup saucers. She's clutching an old fashioned flimsiplast novel, titled 'Mandalorians in Wild Space.' The other child is a human, with green eyes and blonde pigtails. She's dragging a happabore plushie. Neither of them could have been older than six or seven, and both of them seem excited to meet them. They wave excitedly at the Mandalorians.

Volken Mons has posed:
Again - his face can't be seen but his body langauge says to Ellari: I told you so.

As Master Volk moves past he waits and then turns to Ellari and says, "Being bullish with these ones isn't going to work. You're goign to need to temper your usual method and attitude. These Jedi are, if nothing else, stubborn. Maybe moreso then you.... And remember...this was -your- idea..."

That said he turns away to begin to follow Volk though he asides to both Jorn and Ellari, "Dueling Caine again isn't happening. It only happened because I snuck his name onto the roster for the wedding party duels. He held up his end of the bargain so now we know for sure he's the one that planted it but in the end it -doesn't- matter unless we can figure out some sort of clause that invalidates Jorn's hold on it because it was technically 'given' to him and that he didn't earn it. If he'd stolen it himself it'd almost be better in that sense but either way, Jorn has it now so we need to deal with that and what the Jedi can do for us."

As tot he younglings, Volken sees them and his attitude seems to change, returning to the chaotic titanic brute, "Awwwww...they're so cute!"

Ellari Zin has posed:
"What! Why do we have to go to the Temple?" Ellari protests, ignoring the children. But then she cools herself down a bit, exhaling audibly. "Master...we are on a timetable." She glances over at Jorn and Volken. "If we wait too long, everyone will begin to believe that Jorn has stolen the blade away from Mandalore and that it was his intention all along. And then there will be nowhere in the galaxy you--we--will be able to hide from retribution." she points out. After all, it's not just Jorn's reputation on the line any longer...but hers and Volken's too.

Jorn (418) has posed:
When it comes to time, Jorn very much wants to do this right. Also, his view is if a small cluster of mandos want to war against the Jedi, then let Caine remember the blood on his hands.

"I don't mind going back. Time may not be on our side, but we can't afford to rush it." Jorn says honestly and then he looks at Volken. "One of the few plays I have is to duel Caine. He's dragging down Ellari's reputation at minimum," he says firmly. His attention slips back to the Jedi Master. He waits patiently to see what happens.

Athena (159) has posed:
The younglings Force leap nimbly off of the landspeeder and immediately surround Volken. They bow politely in greeting, and then the Rodian says, "Are you Mr. Volken? It's nice to meet you. I learned the Jedi and the Mandalorians were enemies, but Master Volk says you're a good guy."

"You will be safe here," Volk reassures Ellari. "Do not worry."

He then steps aside and gestures for Jorn to board the landspeeder. "We can talk on the way to the Temple," he says, "and your accommodations will be ready once you arrive."

Volken Mons has posed:
"I know. That's why I warned against this in the first place." counters Volken under his breath at Ellari. "But here we -are- so let's make the most of it and get enough out of this to justify this. Wasting time pointing out the risks at this point is useless. At least to them..."

As the younglings come around him, VOlken leans down and then reaches forward and pokes the Rodian gently in the forhead.

"I'm a good guy. But more then that - I am cool." he rumbles. That grin practically audible.

He then straightens back up and looks to Volk and Jorn.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari scoffs. "Oh I am not worried about our safety, but would you like it if they came here in search of the Darksaber, attacking everyone and everything that got in their way?" She shakes her head. "We don't need accommodations. And I am not being 'bullish', I'm simply being -rational-." A brow goes up at Jorn. "You don't understand. Many will see this as an opportunity to seize power, even if just for the moment. If we don't rush enough, -someone- will find you, and there will be nothing pleasant about it, for -any- of us."

"Hmph." she rolls her eyes. "I'm starting to question whether that's even possible any more...." she mutters, regarding justifying the trip here.

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn is happy to get on the trip toward the temple. Honestly, he would go everywhere, and anywhere, on this planet. Because it's calmer than previous surroundings. Jorn's just happy he doesn't need to sleep with both eyes open. Being able to close one, or both, eyes in those situations is priceless.

"I do worry about the others on this planet, " becuase Jorn can see some members of this group going for the younglings and people clearly untrained. His attention slips to Ellari. Jorn will give her a nod. Oh, her concerns are very valid, too. They're still stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Athena (159) has posed:
The little Rodian girl giggles. Her laughter is musical and lilting. "Okay, should I call you Mr. Cool, then?" She waves the flimsiplast novel at him. "I like reading about Mandalorians," she says, "I think their armor is really cool! I hope I can have armor like the Mandalorians one day..."

"Younglings," Volk reminds them, "remember the task at hand..." And the two of them quickly begin to load the Mandalorian's belongings onto the landspeeder.

Once everyone's settled and on the landspeeder, Volk says, "Fear is pathway to the dark side," he says calmly, "Jorn, who else knows that you came to Jedha? And what is it that you seek? I had assumed sanctuary, but your companions are making the situation a bit unclear." His brows furrow.

Volken Mons has posed:
"You hear that? You want to be Dark Sided?" chides Volken to Ellari, "stop worrying. You started this. Own it. Besides, nobody knows where we were going or why and they already all know Jorn was missing. Thaelin knows I had an errand off world and that's it. The wedding is over. The Duke is alive and on his feet again."

Volken gestuers asently as he takes a seat and just waits the ride out, "THey're going to be busy with the politics for awhile. I got a reason to hurry back as well so we won't linger too long but relax."

With that, he lets Ellari and Jorn take it from here. It was their plan so they must now explain what they want Volk to do.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari rolls her eyes again, even as she gets into the speeder. "Dark side, bright side, brown side? I don't care. I am simply stating valid concerns. You two have not been around Sundari as much as I have. You told Thaelin you were going off-world? Then I can tell you right now that I am sure someone is already planning to track us down and seize the Darksaber for their own clans even as we speak."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Shaking his head, "I had a woman try to suggest I do it. I did not confirm or deny to anyone. They can presume, but nothing is concrete." Jorn thinks on it. His mind drifts. "I think even if they know, or guess, I think that group wants me to be here. To use me as a sword. I am here to train," and Jorn starts putting pieces to a puzzle together. Leaning back, to think more on it. His attention just focused on the thoughts. Particularly the converstaion he had with Lady Solstice.

Volken Mons has posed:
"You're here to -what-??"

Volken leans forward, practically adjusting the speedster slightly, "-Traint-?! What happened to proving our innocence in the theft? Why would you want to train unless you want to be better at using it to legitimately -keep- it!?"

Athena (159) has posed:
As the speeder starts to head towards the Temple, Volk shakes his head. "There is time for a conversation at the very least," He says, still maintaining his demure demeanor. "Whether it is safe for him to remain here on Jedha, remains to be seen."

Everyone seems shocked when Jorn says he's here to train, including the younglings and the Kel Dor Jedi.

"Are you gonna become a Jedi?!" the tiny blonde youngling blurts, eyes wide.

Volk raises a brow. "You know not what you ask," he says, "And in all honesty I did not know you carried the Dark Saber with you until several minutes ago. It is my assumption you came here... so that you could learn how to use it, as a -Jedi- would use it." A pregnant pause. "Do you know the history of the Dark Saber?"

Jorn (418) has posed:
"I need to know how to use the blade. They're going to fight me for it before I can prove my innocence," Jorn explains. "So, I need some training on it," he admits knowing a few situations he managed to escape some would have gone better had he known how to use the blade properly.

Looking at the youngling, Jorn shakes his head. "I'm not going to train to be a Jedi because I still wouldn't be as good as you will be," a smile's heard under his helmet. "I am here for some lessons. Pointers. Just so I can be half as good as you are," Jorn gives the youngling a nod. Trying to make sure the young jedi stays on his path.

Hearing that someone associated with Thaelin knows. "Yeah, we're not going to be alone too long," he sighs just hoping to get some respite. That idea feels to be fleeting at the moment.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari arches a brow at Jorn. "A woman, you say? Not Revara? Who, then?" Why wouldn't he say her name?"

"'Remains to be seen'?" She scoffs. "Safety isn't something that should -remain- to be seen. I would have thought you Jedi would understand that better than anyone."

She turns to Volken. "He needs to at least know the basics," she remarks, nodding after Jorn's explanation. "Enough to duel the twins and force them to either fight or face public humiliation. And if he wins, Caine must confess publicly."

Volken Mons has posed:
"You can't possibly be serious. Are you fraggin' kidding me Jorn?! How'd you get that idea in your head?! The whole issue here is that we want you to be able to get -rid- of it and prove your innocence in its theft! Wasn't there data you two were supposed to be trying to access?? What the hell have you two been even doing while I was sitting there stuck at that damn wedding and trying to get Caine to spill!"

He'd apparently make for a bad Jedi. Not great with his emotions.

"We're actually -here-, using my contacts and you don't even have a solid plan?! Train?!?!"

He suddenly seems to grab hold of his emotions as if remembering there are children present. THey better be glad younglings are here.

"Are you -trying- to stake some sort of claim on that thing legitimately after all we've been through?" he grimaces while leaning forward at Jorn. "My friend lost his -arm- to you because of that thing...."

Volken's anger begins bubbling up now. Clear as day to the Jedi no doubt. Younglings. Rrmember. Younglings are here.

"What about it..?" he finally hisses at Volk.

"He then wheels on Ellari and snaps, "I -told- you, Caine isn't about to aree to a duel! He only fought me beause of the obligations of the wedding and I had to cheat to get him to do that! Jorn's already guilty in the public eye. -That-s why we're here, remember!?"

Athena (159) has posed:
"Calm yourselves," Volk says in a gentle but commanding tone. "The history of the Dark Saber has everything to do with the magnitude of that which he asks for," he says.

"Khada," he says softly to the Rodian youngling, "would you like to tell our Mandalorian friends why the history of the Dark Saber is so important?"

The small Rodian girl eagerly pipes up, "The Dark Saber is a Jedi relic, first owned by the last Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre Vizsla. The Mandalorians went to war against the Jedi, taking over the Temple and stealing the Dark Saber back from them, as they always saw the Dark Saber as theirs. After that, the Mandalorians said the Jedi were their 'sworn enemies'. Now, the Republic thinks of them as bad guys."

"Now you know," Volk says to Volken quietly. "Jorn... we must speak in length about this once we arrive at the Temple," he says, "you will tell me -everything- that has happened to you - leave out no detail."

Ellari Zin has posed:
Another eyeroll from Ellari as they retell the story of the Darksaber and Tarre Vizsla. Or at least an abbreviated version. Yes, yes, she knows and much more.

"If he doesn't agree to a duel, then he will face public humiliation." she retorts. "As for the data, Varen is working on it back on the ship. But it's no easy task." She sighs. "I know Volken, but frankly I don't see any better option. Even if we are able to produce the footage proving Caine's guilt, who is to say they will believe it? They don't -want- to believe he's innocent, they want him to be guilty so that they can use it as a legitimate reason to seize it for themselves and brand themselves both hero and Mand'alor, do you understand? And now that he has been off-planet for some time already, they will be clamoring to find a reason and a way to track him down."

Ellari Zin has posed:
She sighs at Master Volk. "Why do you need -every- detail? You won't even understand them all, anyway. You understand enough by now, so let us find a path forward. Will you provide the training, or not?"

Volken Mons has posed:
"I -am- calm." remarks Volken harshly to Master Volk. He then forces himself to calm down more...and more and then listens as patiently as possible as the child recounts the Dark Saber story.

"Yes, yes, yes." he says impatiently and then offers her a polite. "...Thank you that was very well told..."

It's not her fault after all.

But his anger pivots back to Ellari and Jorn. "..And that's -why- the footage matters. Why is it on your ship?! Jorn brought his drives at least. I hope."

He quiets and then says, "You don't challenge -another- for a duel if you already -have- the saber. Caine doesn't need to demand a duel. He never will. He's not facing humiliation because he doesn't -want- the saber! Solstice does! The footage will exonerate Jorn and force Lady Solstice to have to back off of her attempts for at least a little wihle. They might even accept Jorn simply releasing the saber and doing open duels for it instead. Isn't that what we're going through all for? We already know Caine still the saber and he did it before. We just need to -show it-.."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"You don't understand." Ellari argues, shaking her head. "I already told you, the footage won't matter much. They don't -want- him to be innocent. They want him to be guilty so that they can use it as an excuse to seize power for themselves and their clans. He can challenge anyone to a duel at any time, Darksaber or not. But especially since he did not obtain it with a proper duel, it will be seen as a respectable effort. That is where the footage will actually be of any use. But on its own, it's worth nothing."

She narrows her eyes. "Caine needs to be held accountable for what he has done. He deserves much more than public humiliation for it; however I'm afraid that's the best we can hope for."
