Vehicle Engineering is the skill required for designing, building, and repairing vehicles. This includes non-spacecraft only. See Starship Engineering for spacecraft.

Specializations

Hovercraft

Vehicles that do not touch the ground during operation. Many swoop bikes and landspeeders are hovercraft.

Tracked Vehicles

Vehicles that use treads or tracks looped around a large number of wheels such as half-tracks or tanks.

Walkers

Vehicles that move using mechanical legs such as AT-STs. Many walkers are military vehicles.

Wheeled Vehicles

Vehicles with wheels.

Benchmarks

    • 1 - 10: Repair a vehicle with Minor damage or build a small, simple vehicle (e.g. bike, cart, or small landspeeder)
    • 11 - 20: Repair a vehicle with Moderate or lower damage or design/build a vehicle of moderate size and complexity (e.g. medium landspeeder, airspeeder)
    • 21 - 30: Repair a vehicle with Heavy or lower damage or design/build a large and/or highly complex vehicle (e.g. aerial transport, ATV, combat-capable vehicles)
    • 31+: Repair a vehicle with Critical damage or lower damage or design/build a massive vehicle (e.g. tank, walker, large transport)

Modifiers

  • GM may add to the difficulty of the roll for more complex vehicles during repair attempts.
