Specializations

Communications

Operation of equipment designed to aid or facility communication such as ship comms arrays, radios, and other communication devices.

Sensors

Operating sensor equipment such as scanners or radar.

Shields

Shield generating devices are often employed by ships, vehicles, buildings, or other structures with defensive capabilities.

Benchmarks

• 1 - 10: Basic knowledge, can operate everyday machines that are common to most households or to character’s chosen profession
• 11 - 20: Intermediate knowledge, can operate some technology that may be less common
• 21 - 30: Advanced knowledge, able to operate complex machinery

Modifiers

• +10 to the difficulty if machinery or technology is unfamiliar to the character
