Kessarine
Description
Kessarine are a communally oriented, sentient, cold blooded species. Females, or egg bearers, had one tail, while males had multiple. Members of the species also had cheek frills and webbed fingers. Kessarine can speak Basic, however, they find it clumsy to use.
The Kessarine family structure is typically composed of one female, multiple males, and their offspring. A normal Kessarine litter size is composed of one to five hatchlings.
Biology
Kessarine do not give live birth. Their litters hatch from dull yellow colored eggs, and incubation time is approximately six weeks. The newborn Kessarine also initially have egg teeth. These tiny tusks eventually fall away as the hatchling matures.
The Galactic Basic language does not have exact equivalent terms for Kessarine genders, but when Kessarine mature, the child's will contributes to whether or not they become an egg bearer. Out of a litter of five, the common percentage of those that would mature into egg bearers was two of them.

They have tough, armored skin which gives them a +1 bonus to Toughness for resisting physical damage.
Claws
They possess sharp claws which can be used in fight, adding +2 to their Brawl skill rolls.
Enhanced Smell
Their keen sense of smell grants them a +2 bonus to all Awareness rolls where scent is relevant.
