Synopsis: | Volken crashes a birthday party at the San Tekka Manor by pretending to be an entertainer. |
Cast of Characters: | 159, Volken Mons |
- Athena (159) has posed:
Naboo is as luxurious and elite of a planet as Volken is thick, and tall. Everywhere one looked, there was a rich woman or man clothed in shimmersilk, being escorted to an exquisite liner, posh restaurant, or five star hotel. Even the outskirts of a city like Theed reeked of the haute bourgeoisie.
The target Volken had been directed to is just outside Theed city limits, in an area that's a bit more rural but no less affluent. The monstrous Mandalorian will find himself being pulled along in a hoverbuggy towed by two Falumpaset -- the poor creatures trundle slowly along the dirt path, struggling to pull the weight of their heavyset passenger...
- Volken Mons has posed:
The problem with being an eight foot plus, something, something Mandalorian with a physique that looks like he wrestlers Dowutin's and Devaronian's for giggles is...
you're an eight foot plus, something, something Mandalorian with a physique that looks like--etc--etc-etc.
Not exactly primed for coming and going without being seen or noticed but there are things he can do to help mitigate that. In fact, he cleans up rather well when he wants to put in the time and effort to do so. HIs long dark hair is more kempt then usual, pulled into a small tail behind his tree trunk of a neck and his garments - while not full on shimmer silk - at least give the impression of someone who might be heading in for a security job fo someone affluent as opposed to his usual vagabond like wear. He's without his beskar or enormous artillery as well ...or so it seems. A massive locked case likely to big for anyone else to handle, is also being hauled with him by the poor creatures and it sits besides him as he leans back with legs crossed and enormous arms behind his head. His lightly bearded visage is neutral and the shades over his eyes hide his gaze though he peers through them, alert, as he's slowly pulled along the country road path.
- Athena (159) has posed:
Eventually, they'll reach a ranch style structure settled a top a grassy knoll. A glance at his navigation device will inform Volken that this sprawling estate, surrounded by strung lights, elaborate flower beds, and trimmed hedges, is the location Xera had specified.
The marble fountain has a gilded statue of a dancing Twi'lek out front, and leading up to it is a recently swept stone path.
It's a damn shame, really, that he'd been assigned to take a wrecking ball to this country palace...
- Volken Mons has posed:
Well there's no sense in just riding right up the front door. Volken stops his transport upon sighting the place and sits up after looking to the navigation device to confirm that tihs indeed the location.
He had some suspicons about what this was all about but the sight of the dancing Twi'lek confirms some of his thinking...or so he assumes. That's hardly normal decore for The Naboo with their tastes and sense of refinement. No doubt this was some rival family to Xera and he was just about to get himself into the middle of another feud.
But eh, at least they aren't Mandalorian's feuding.
"Thanks for the lift, fellas." he grunts out at the critters before hopping off of the carriage and hten easily lifting his massive case up out of it. He then scans the area, seeking enough foliage to hide himself in whilst donning his gear.
A handy set of quadnocularss is pulled forth as well once he opens the case up and he brings it up to his head as he purses his lips and squints his eyes. Hopefully the image enhancers might offer some clues on the best course of action to take here, particularly if just going through the front door is indeed the only option.. or the presence of armed guards...meaning making his own entrance might be preferrable. A hint for the possible location of the information could be handy as well but he can only do so much from outside.
- Athena (159) has posed:
"Good luck," the Gungan driver tells Volken, saluting to the massive Mandalorian before taking off.
The visual enhancers Volken is using reveal that not too far from where he stands, there's an open courtyard. It does have a few security guards casually patrolling the premises, but they do not act like they're expecting visitors anytime soon.
If Volken can get close enough, he might be able to climb onto the roof via the gutter pipes, and then slide on into the courtyard easy like, provided he can create a distraction for the security guards...
- Volken Mons has posed:
For Volken, scaling the walls is less a careful climb up a set of pipes but apparently more like that of some monstrous gorilla that steps to the wall, lunges up to push his massive body up and then pushes up the wall again. The immensity of his weaponry and weight of his armor seems to hold no issue for him either, hauled along with him along with a satchel bearing a special payload for this place. His special delivery, so to speak.
Once he reaches the roofs, he crouches down upon it but opts for fast action versus waiting too long there while searching for a quick and easy distraction for the wandering security guards.
HIs gaze lands upon the statue of the twi'lek woman and after a moment of consideration...he reaches down to try and grab a chunk of the roof besides him, looking to rip one of hte tiles free and then eend it hurtling towards the courtyard entrance in hohpes of attracting the guards toward the sound and away from the walls he's perched on.
- Athena (159) has posed:
As Volken hauls himself onto the roof, he might hear it creak, just a little. He is a monstrosity, after all. But the noise is not loud enough to attract any attention from the guards, thankfully.
Once he's on the roof, he'll be able to see down into the courtyard easier.
And what Volken sees there might not please the Mandalorian. There's a young human woman, with a ... baby, and two children, who look to be under the age of five. They're lounging by the edge of the pool in the center of the courtyard, fiddling with some leaves and flower stems, oblivious to Volken's presence.
When he tears off a piece of the roof and throws it, the trajectory of the tile heaves sideways, and it crashes into the window of a small wooden building that must have been a bathhouse of some kind, across the way from the pool. A loud scream emanates from within it.
- Volken Mons has posed:
"Great.."
This was already starting to go down hill and after such a majestic clibm up the walls.
The creaking of the roof is a warning as well. This sneaking and crouching and tip toing around just isnt' his thing. He's not made for it but he'd hoped he could do it - get in - get out.
He hadn't considered that there might be civilians here. He was expecting a business. A data center. Not what is effectively somebodies home and no doubt Xera knew this and used his fascination with her to slip away without giving such vital information.
He could simply leave. He doesn't really give a damn if he owes Canto Bight a whole lot of money it's just...he likes Canto Bight and having Xera as a resource isn't something he can just throw away.
Speaking of throw, hopefully the guards will respond to the scream and be drawn away from the walls. He prowls along the roofotp, slowly and then once he finds a spot, moves to simply drop down from it and find an entrance into the manor.
- Athena (159) has posed:
Volken's guess about the guards rushing to attend to where the scream had come from is right -- they'll come running, guns out, starting to look around the premises for where a large roof tile might have been thrown from. Volken will have to move fast.
Moments later, a young man will rush out of the bathhouse, a towel wrapped around his waist, his upper half naked. He's a pretty thing -- copper skin, dusty brown hair, blue eyes, full lips and a strong jawline. "By the Force--!" he exclaims.
The woman with the baby in her arms gasps, and unfortunately, when the monstrous Mandalorian drops to the ground, the floor trembles slightly, alerting her. However, she does not seem that surprised to see Volken. Instead, she frowns, and is about to open her mouth to say something when the young boy who had been sitting on the edge of the pool suddenly gets up, runs over to Volken... and hugs him.
He stares up at the hulking Mandalorian starry-eyed. "You look so real..." he says dreamily.
His sister is rolling her eyes. "Ugh..." she mutters.
The mother finally speaks. "You're a little... early," she says, "the birthday party isn't for another forty five minutes." She looks him up and down, while the baby on her hip starts to cry at the sight of Volken. "Well, at least you look the part. Why didn't you come in the front door?" She shakes her head, grumbling.
- Volken Mons has posed:
The funny thing being that Volken is just chaotic enough to indulge this sort of thing.
He reaches a massive hand down for the boy and seeks scoop him up one handed, using his palm like the seat of a chair and to raise the child upwards towards him in a display of his massive strength.
"Sorry." he says towards the mother, "Just trying to get into character and I need the extra time to get everything setup for my routine.... Y'know. Lots of heavy things to juggle, lift, shoot, crush, set on fire. That sort of thing. Tried to get in without anyone noticing me. Didn't want to disturb yer...fun..."
The young man is noted as well but Volken keeps his attention on the mother and her kids. His assessment: Snobbish, uptight, privilaged, arrogant and probably very ignorant to what's truly going on here. But hurting anyone unncessarily was never part of even his agenda.
"Mind if I head on in?"
- Athena (159) has posed:
The mother waves a hand dismissively. Volken will probably notice she looks like she hasn't slept in ... days. There are dark circles under her eyes, and the now screaming baby does not want to be consoled, despite her attempts to hush her. The little boy's sister has now picked up one of the potted plants and is dumping it into the pool, and the mother quickly turns on her heel to chastise her naughty child.
The little boy laughs when Volken picks him up. "Hey," he asks, "did you bring any real blasters?" he asks, pointing finger guns at the massive Mandalorian. "Like, you know the pew pew! kind..."
The man wearing a towel who had just come out of the sauna, however, seems highly suspicious of Volken. "Did you just... throw that tile into the sauna in order to... get into character?" he asks, arching a brow at Volken.
- Volken Mons has posed:
"Maybe..." whispers Volken, tone full of conspiracy, to the birthday boy though he follows it up with a 'shhhh' as he puts a finger up to his helmet.
"..Can't give it away though otherwise it won't be a surprise for ya."
WIth that, he hurriedly puts the boy back down, not roughly mind you, but he dosn't wnat to keep this charade up any longer then he has to.
"Yeah, uh, sorry. It was more of a slip and then my arm kinda went where it shouldn't have. I don't know my own strength...sometimes.. Break stuff all the time. YOu wanna see me use a full sized droid as a toy ball? Lemme know."
He turns about akwardly, indicating with his thumb he wants to get going, "Imma just....go find the dressing rooms and check up that I got everything I need. 'scuse me...."
The exhausted state of these two is fairly clear and their presence along with the kids continues to nag at him. Sheer curiousity is starting to motivate him as much as the promise of elitism at Canto Bight. "See ya shortly.."
- Athena (159) has posed:
"Waaaait!" The little boy runs after him. "I wanna see all the stuff you brought." He glances over at his mother, who is now trying to discipline the sister. Without much luck, as her daughter is now throwing a tantrum. "I don't wanna wait until the party..."
The younger man frowns, folding his arms. He only seems partially convinced, however, he's keeping mum about it for now. "I'll... show you to the dressing rooms," he says. Then he glances down at the boy. "You stay here, with your mother. She's going to need all the help she can get, especially now that the baby is awake."
"But Uncle Jaret...!"
The man gives the boy a stern look, and the boy scampers off, grumbling to himself.
- Volken Mons has posed:
"Great!"
Volken cheerfully turns towards Jaret as the boy runs off. He sees the mans clear suspicion but doesn't comment to it. However, it is a sign that he proably should be about this as quickly as possible and needs to continue to rethink his plan here.
He really wishes it was just some installation or office building he could have rolled ontop of and plowed through.
"After you. Sir."
- Athena (159) has posed:
"And what is your name," he says, arching a brow at Volken as they head towards one of the larger buildings.
"And are you always this ... aggressive whenever getting into character?" he asks.
He then gestures for Volken to give him his briefcase. "I'll put this away in storage for now, unless you need some items from it for the party."
- Volken Mons has posed:
"Afraid so. Plus it might be a little heavy for you." remarks the giant. THe mans ease around him, despite his great size, is noted as well. Perhaps they really did get ag ood cosplayer if they're expecting someone even aproaching his size.
"Khalo's my name." he rumbles, "..and yeah I get into character real good. I play a lot of roles. Need to help keep them straight. You wouldn't believe how messy the Wookie suit gets after some of these events."
- Athena (159) has posed:
They stop in a large foyer just inside the larger building. "Well, why don't you get out what you need now, and then I'll have the droids take it upstairs to the storage closet.
"Is that so," Jaret says, a brow arching again, his suspicion clearly rising again. "Menna said the entertainment company would be sending someone named Friya Yarglobe..."
- Volken Mons has posed:
"listen, I just go where I'm told to go."
Oops. Of course that was a test but really short of 'What do you -think- my name is' there was no way out of that cat and mouse game there.
"Besides, they're good but I'm the best. Maybe they just want to assure you get your moneys worth. The only one they got that can juggle and be at the base of a routine featuring full grown Dowutin's is me. Don't worry though. No Dowutin's are coming."
The grin is practically visible through his helmet as he locks his gaze on the guy.
"And dont' let me bother your droids. MIght be heavy even for them. Besides ...I kinda need to do a full check of everything. It's why I came early. DOn't want to just sit in the middle of your hall and do it, all in the way..."
- Athena (159) has posed:
Jaret's eyes narrow. "Hn."
Volken will be able to tell he's still suspicious of him, but doesn't have any concrete reason to believe he's lying, yet.. "It's not a bother," he says, "and droids are droids. They're meant to do these menial tasks. I'd like to see you perform the full check. After all, this is my household, and I'd like to know what you've brought into it."
- Volken Mons has posed:
"Oh yeah, yeah, sure. Of course.."
Volken makes an absent gesture, still holding onto the case he's carrying with the goods. "You got an office or something? You can inspect everything there. ACtually I should check in with my agency anyway.... If you don't mind I can do it at the same time. But you better let me carry it. I know youg ot droids and all but...you know.."
There's a pause as if he's doing so for emphasis and he finallya dds, "Sometimes htey make me a little uncomfortable. Droids and all. I prefer to carry my own things. Company items as well..you know?"
- Athena (159) has posed:
Jaret's expression hardens and Volken will be able to tell his suspicion is growing. But after a moment's scrutiny, he acquiesces. "Fine," he says.
"My office is upstairs. You'll be able to use the comms console in there to contact your agency, if you wish." He's about to turn and start heading down the hallway to the lift, when the young boy from earlier runs up and tugs on his arm. "Mama wants your help moving the float and cake," he says urgently.
He sighs. "It can't wait, I suppose," he mutters. "My office is the first room on the left on the second floor. The lift is just down the hall." Then he reluctantly allows himself to be dragged away.
- Volken Mons has posed:
The timing of that was ideal for the mans sake since Volken was a few heartbeats away from simply slamming his head into the floor once or twice and ten walking away from it all.
In truth, the children have caused him to rethink matters some. Once upon a time he may have been much more callous but right now he's not really invested in exploding a boys birthday party, despite how spoiled the kid probably is. He seemed excited to see a 'Mandalorian In Costume' after all.
Perhaps that means they need to up their game a little bit. It's somehat hard to be 'feared' if you're also an expectaions at a childs birthday party.
He watches as the two head off and then turns and wordlessly moves to follow the directions given to rapidly move for the lift and the second floor. As he walks he glances about, searching for any clues as to the actual job this man has that sustains such wealth.
- Athena (159) has posed:
His office will clarify matters, greatly. There are star charts all over the walls, and propped up on drawers made of the finest lacquered oak, are old astrogation relics of times past, likely used by prospectors back during the Old Republic. The man must have been truly rich, to obtain such ancient treasures.
But the back wall, surprisingly, isn't covered with star charts like the other walls. It's a much more personal display of images of family members, but Volken will notice many of the pictures are of the same little girl, Mari San Tekka. These images appear to be much older than all the rest, and he'll also notice that she isn't in any of the more recent family photos...
- Volken Mons has posed:
Volken isn't known far and wide fo rhis great intelligence...but he can be said to be savvy, if not actually cunning...and as he studies the pictures a few thoughts occur to him as he rests his eyes on the images and in particularly the one of Mari.. His gaze consciousless and subconsciously searching for signs that may clue him in further into what he's suspecting more and more is some sort of entrenched family feud he's stumbled into... Or some variation thereof.
He then looks over the room, studying the relics thoughtfully as well. It'd be a shame to destroy all of these but common theft seems so...beneath The Way.
Of course rampant vandalism and destruction clearly isn't.
His eyes turn to the desks as well, searching for more informaiton that may clue him in. There's a part of him beginning to look for an excuse not to take this any further.
"Hmmm....It's a traaaaaaapp.." he mutters under his breath before slowly opening his case up to consider the bombs and detonator. "...Maybe I can still salvage this..."
- Athena (159) has posed:
On the desk, Volken will find a datapad that has multiple images of missing persons announcements for that same little girl, Mari, along many bounty adverts for her which must have expired a long time ago, as the date stamps on these adverts are from decades ago. Too bad Volken had been too young at that time to know or pursue them, the total bounty on the girl's head had amounted to over a million credits.
He'll also notice a console with holodisplay that has a news articles from several years ago covering a story that he himself might have heard a few things about at some point. A pleasure liner, owned by yhe Grafs, holding over ten thousand members of the elite, had violently and unexpectedly crashed into an asteroid belt near a Mandalorian colony world, killing seven thousand of the passengers. The article then details that they had chalked the accident up to mechanical malfunction with the hyperdrive, but salvage had not been examined, the Grafs had not allowed it.
Volken will remember that it had caused a stir because upon initial impact, the crash had obstructed access to the planet, and thus, the Mandalorians had considered escalating. Yet, he'll remember that the company that had owned the liner had profusely apologized and cleaned the mess up with unprecedented hastiness and thoroughness. The word in Sundari had been that the Republic was just that afraid of them, but... given that not even the Republic had been allowed to examine the salvage...
- Volken Mons has posed:
He had been expecting some sort of office building or gossip column or agency that gotten ahold of some information that needed a message sent to them regarding. This is turning into something far more and Volken can sense the potential complications arising. It's just like before with Khalo, Revara and that nonsense. He could just walk away. Should just walk away..
That million credit bounty sure sounds nice though.
He frowns, indecisive and tossing up one of the bombs up and down in his hands . ITt's so much esaier to decide to do brutal things to people when it's clearer who're the bad guys and it so it not bothering his slieep at night.
"Yer lucky you got kids, chum.." he finally grumbles. ANd puts the bombs away.
He does swipe the datapads though. Hastily shoving them into the same container with his extra equipment and he grabs for several of the star charts as well . This isn't the best time to grow a conscience. Time is working against him as well but with there being a birthday party about to happen down there...he's decided bombs are off the table.
"Whelp. Time to play stupid." he decides while un holstering a massive repeater cannon and beginning to charge it up Only one will be necessary here.
He gives one more look over the officeas the rotary guns beginning sppinning and blue energy starts to build up.
He then begins firing.
The cannons unload a full on spray off energy which he tracks across the room in random patterns aiming for the walls and desks but not holding his fire for too long on the back wall. A tug of sentimentality happening at the last second that leads him to avoid destroying what seems to be most precious to the man.
- Athena (159) has posed:
As soon as Volken starts opening fire on everything in the room save the back wall, he'll hear the sound of several security droids running down the hallway.
"UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, THREAT ASSESSED, NEUTRALIZE THREAT," they drone. As soon as they as arrive in the doorway, they pull out double blasters and start opening fire, though their aim isn't very good and their first few go wide of Volken, surprisingly...
- Volken Mons has posed:
Guns still roaring, Volken turns as the droids arrive. He continues the spray of repeater fire with one arm while suring the satchel with the other and backing up towards that back wall. Looks like he may have to damage it after all.
Unfortunantely his shots aren't -exactly- accurate as he turns about as uqickly as he did. It's possible even a lackluster security droid might avoid these. Shameful.
- Athena (159) has posed:
Strangely enough, the first volley from both Volken and the droids fail to strike their target. And yet, the droids advance, still firing and droning on about neutralizing the threat.
Volken will have to find a way to get out of here -- and fast, he'll be able to hear shouts outside the room in the hallway. Jaret, and probably the security guards, who likely have much better aim, are coming...
- Volken Mons has posed:
"How embaressing. How embaressing." drawls Volken at his misfire attempts at the basic security droids. He ought to have his Mandalorian card revoked. Legendary warriors indeed.
He turns away from the droids, letting the blaster fire belt around him. Some pings off his beskar armor. Some actually lands, scorching his exposed arms with glancing shots but repelled by his enormous physique.
Said physique then sends him charging forward, rushing like a stampeding Zillo Beast for the wall facing the outdoors. If it's the back wall then - oh well. He made some effort to preserve the memories.
Now he simply crashes through, sending brick, stone and whatever else was used to reinforce the wall shattering like so much tissue under his massive strength and great bulk.
He leaps forward, dropping down heavily and violently for the ground below and landing with a heavy ground shaking thud as his immense frame absorbs the shock of the fall.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The monstrous Mandalorian will land with enough force to cause a small earthquake. Which, won't be quite so fortunate as the small float with the birthday cake is less than half a meter in front of where Volken lands. And someone had had the bright idea to balance the four tiered cake on a crystal dais with a neck thinner than a Bonbrak's pinky.
So when the ground shakes, the dais trembles. Then cracks. And suddenly, twenty pounds of vanilla fluff will start to topple in Volken's direction...
- Volken Mons has posed:
Speaking of embaressing.
The cake comes toppling down onto the giant who turns at the last second and fails, utterly, to get out of the way.
It might have something to do with the fact that he's so huge he gives Dowutin's a run for their money. So there's just too much of him to try and get out of hte way and the cake ends up crashing into him and swamping over his gigantic body.
Needless to say, he's slightly enraged but not pushed into a full on berserker rampage. Leaving is what's really on his mind. But some retribution for this embaressement is due.
As the droids begin to make their approach he reaches down with his tree trunk thick arms and grips hold of the flotilla. This he hauls upward, sinew bulging and creaking, straining at his beskar as if he were capable of bursting right out of it or warping the metal in some impossible fashion, and then he sends the entire flotilla hurtling through the air towards the second story hole and the droids therein as they prepare to take aim.
It slams into them, violently crashing into and through the structure with a trail of delicious cake crumbs trailing behind it.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The droids, surprisingly, do not even try to shoot Volken when the cake comes crashing down on top of him. Instead, they freeze, and say, "TARGET OBSCURED, TARGET OBSCURED. THREAT NEUTRALIZED." Perhaps the droids were dysfunctional to begin with, perhaps Volken had actually managed to fry their circuits somehow, or perhaps the situation is just too strange and not in their programming. Needless to say, the float barrels into them dramatically sending them flying backwards as a terrific and dainty spray of frosting, glitter, and confetti rain down.
The mother standing nearby with her baby, screams, in utter shock. She is at a complete loss for words for what is happening, and why. The children, however, seem to think it's playtime, and are clearly amused. The boy stares up at Volken, his eyes wide, his expression one of total enamor. "That was SO KRIFFING COOL," he intones, "Do it again!"
Volken won't really have time to indulge the boy, though, as the security guards are still on his tail. Yet, he'd definitely bought himself some precious time by taking out the droids with the float...
- Volken Mons has posed:
The damn kids.
If he didn't pick this time to grow a conscience he'd just unload on the guards with, hopefully better aim , his massive twin repeator cannons. As it is, opening fire on them like this with the resulting spray of bodies will do no good. If they were droids, it'd be no problem but he'd likely rather not have the boy see limbs flying through the air towards him and his sister or the baby.
Unlike other Mandalorians he's got -some- sense and degree of decorum. Maybe if they were on Mandalore but one must be gentle with these Naboo folk.
That doesn't mean he's going to just let the guards attack him so it's likely he'll have to take a few out.
He gives the boy at thumbs up though. Deliberately flexing his arm like a transport vehicle under his flesh was bulking to life and then he turns his fist towards the approaching guards.
His repulsor gauntets flare to life as he retreats, backing up and away from the guards but unleashing a blast akin to a Jedi's Force Push to try and knock them back into each other and keep some distance without filling them with holes. If he can send them into the pool, even better.
- Athena (159) has posed:
A few of the guards are knocked backwards, and one of them does fall into the pool.
The other two continue to pursue Volken, opening fire on the massive Mandalorian in an attempt to stun him.
Yet, Volken will still find himself a good several paces ahead of them, and his means of escape is clear now. Just up ahead, he'll see the flowerbeds and the fountains of the beautifully landscaped area out front. He'd come in that way, it'd be poetic for him to leave the same way.
Additionally, he'll see that the -actual- entertainer has arrived, in a nice little speeder, and has even left the front unattended as he goes to the back to unload all his fake Mandalorian props. His beskar is so blatantly painted plastcrete, it's almost worth being infuriated over...
- Volken Mons has posed:
When the shockwave rings out, Volken turns his attention towards the front of the yard and the arrival of the Faux Mandalorian.
He hadn't considered it was -actually- true.. He thought maybe the boy was exagerrating but now it seems it is indeed real. The rich of Naboo has turned their culture into entertainment for a children's party.
Being one that has become somewhat non traditional and secular himself, he's not sure if he should burst out into a thunderous laugh or a roar of rage or just be indifferent to it all ... but then the fire from the guards pegs him, nailing him in the side of his immense arm and searing a scorch mark there while also reflecting off of his beskar.
So he decides on rage.
He whirls on them, turning to meet their approach and then advancing rapidly. He reaches for the first guard - grasping hiold of him like a rag doll and then spins, attempting to rag doll him like a flail into the other guard with the ground itself seeming to shake from his great strength and massiveness.
Following that, he attempts to bring his gargantuan arm around to curl over the torso of the guard he'd first grabbed, beginning to crush him against his body while turning to try and weather any addiional fire that may come his way. He might crush the man into powder - but pauses just before it gets that far as some sense restrains his growing bloodlust. There's kids here.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The guards do their best but they're no match for Volken. The man Volken has grabbed struggles uselessly against his gargantuan strength, but to no avail. The second guard is knocked back when the massive Mandalorian spins the other like a carnival ride.
But Volken will be able to see that four more guards are coming -- it's time to go. The entertainer, somehow, is oblivious to what's going on. His head is too far into the cargo hold of the speeder for him to hear all the ruckus... or he's just too absorbed in figuring out his set up.
- Volken Mons has posed:
It is indeed time to go. Volken could stay here and likely completely level the place but eventually Naboo's security is going to arrive and...well...there's no negotiating leverage here unlike the CDF Prison so that would just lead to more carnage and more carnage.
So fun! But not fun for right now.
So eventually a huge shadow looms over the back of the speedster as Volken arrives and he reaches down to tap on the back of the man to get his attention.
When he turns he'll see Volken's eight foot plus, many, many hundred pounds body looming overhead, physique swollen from exertion, cake still clinging to him, weapons still primed and ready as he rumbles.
"Get in the Speedster. Now. Drive."
There's a pause and he then adds.
"..Brother."
- Athena (159) has posed:
The man cannot even muster up enough courage to scream, or shout. Instead, he just gulps and nods meekly, confused and terrified as he gets into the driver's seat of the speeder and shakily tries to start up the speeder.
The guards are coming up quick. This so called 'Mandalorian' had better hurry the kriff up...
- Volken Mons has posed:
"Hurry up!" shouts Volken as he hops onto the back of the Speedster and roughly slings one of his massive guns into the seat infront of him while clamping down hard on the sides. HE's to big to just easily fit into the whole thing with his weapons after all but he'll have to just make due by squeezing in as much he can.
"NOW! GO!"
It's this or...well...it's about to become a bloodier birthday party.
With that he turns aims the repeater cannon he still had holsterd and roars it to life, opening fire towards the ground infront of the approaching guards. If they're smart they'll duck to the side or run for cover. These aren't trained militia or soldiers, he figures, so panic is the most likely option and should give his new 'friend' time to get things going.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The guards at least take a good several paces back away from the speeder. Volken's new pet is now frightened enough to yelp and start the engine immediately.
Not even a second later, they're zooming away from the sprawling, luxurious estate, and towards the Theed spaceport...
- Volken Mons has posed:
The giant lurches backwards and then forwards again as his free hand grips the speedster with enough force to probably distort the metal - but it's necessary else he could risk falling offf. THe last of his shots go wild as well, riddling holes into the outside wall but the estate is rapidly falling into the distance.
"oh good!" he says, realizing their dstination.
"I didn't even have to beat it into you!"
Hopefullythey'll get there before any extended security efforts are made to catch him or catch up wit him and he can get to his hired transport to get off world. He'll guide his 'new friend' to the rendeavous point for his escape off world but for now he just sighs and lshakes his arms to free himself from the last of the cake crumbs.
"Thanks for the lift! I won't have to kill you now for dressing up like m!"
- Athena (159) has posed:
The entertainer is utterly speechless. He just stares at Volken as the massive Mandalorian unseats himself from the speeder and lumbers out of vehicle. The hulking Mandalorian may or may not notice that he'd actually crushed the shotgun seat. A spring leaps out, and tumbles to the ground, and the entertainer spares it a brief glance.
Thankfully, they've made it to the spaceport in time -- the guards from the San Tekka manor are nowhere to be found, and it seems the spaceport security hasn't received word yet. But they likely will, so Volken should probably waste no more time...
- Volken Mons has posed:
There's enough time for this as it willj just take a minute or so.
"Hold still."
The behemoth slowly makes his way over to the cosplayer. He looks him over carefully, deliberately so, and then just reaches up - holding his massive hand over the othe rmans head...and then reaches down and swamps his fingers and palm over the skull and fake helmet of the man like some sort of gigantic spider settling onto it. He palms the entire skull like a child's ball and then lifts, raising the helmet up from the man.
He then proceeds to ball it up as if it were little more then ap iece of tissue, crumpling it and crushing the material it was made from... and then he begins to repeat this process with the rest of the armor... to a point of course There's not -that- much time but he at least could get the breastplate off and the fake weapons.. . The shoulder pads. The vambraces.
*CRUNCH* *CRUNCH* *CRUNCH* and so on. When done, the man is pretty exposed but Volken has some kindness here and hel leaves enough for modesty.
"You'll thank me for this. Consider it my tip for the lift!"
And he then begins to quickly head for his ship.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The man has no words as Volken rips his costume off of him and crumples it like flimsiplast. He tries, and fails, a few times to speak out, but words never leave his mouth.
When Volken is a good few hundred meters away, he yells after him, "That cost me a good six hundred credits!!!"
Then, just as Volken's ship takes off into the atmosphere, the spaceport security run up to the entertainer and immediately arrest the man for having been Volken's accomplice, despite him having been -rather- unwilling...
