As part of his job as chief medical officer on the Tenoo colonization effort, Dr. Cassias would have been given access to medical records belonging to those who had signed up for the initiative and therefore signed privacy waivers. It was important to make sure no one had or was carrying any problematic pathogens that could put the natural environment there at risk, or had any preexisting conditions that the colony wouldn't be equipped to deal with.
However, upon receiving Padawan Alexis' records, he'd find them...rather incomplete.

The young padawan would then receive a call from a droid asking him to visit the nearest Cassias medical facility as soon as possible. But when he gets there, the lobby is... absurdly crowded.
It would appear that many of the colonists are here, looking to get their medical eval done before before being assigned their quarters aboard the Legacy II.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde reports to the facility in the Federal District as soon as he's finished with his usual daily routines. He frowns upon finding the lobby so crowded, trying to check the original message to see if it included any further instructions other than just show up.
- Athena (159) has posed:
There aren't any, but he'll be able to see that there's a clear line delineated with a collapsible field generator. It's... long. There are at least forty people ahead of him.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
He sighs, shrugging and just gets in line, although he can already feel a headache coming on with all these people crammed in here. It's hard to push down the cacophony of thoughts and emotion...

Especially because most of the people present dont want to be here.
But in the middle of him trying to tune out all the psychic noise, he'll hear someone calling his name...

Cayde frowns, trying to focus on who was calling him. Was it a familiar presence? He starts moving carefully toward it.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The presence is familiar -- he'll realize that its the secretary, the pink skinned Mikkian. "... are you alright?" she asks. "You don't look so good..."
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
The young Jedi nods vaguely at the question, although the reaction is a bit slow. What as her name? Luli, right? He shows her the message that the droid had left saying he needed to come here as quickly as possible.
- Athena (159) has posed:
"Oh, I see," she says. She looks around at the crowd, frowning, then, reaching for his arm, starts to drag him inside. "Follow me!" she whispers urgently. Several of the people in line look unhappy. They're upset that he's cutting...
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Of course they are, but that wasn't his choice. Cayde pulls his arm away from her grasp, although not too roughly. He doesn't need to be dragged. He nods and follows her.
- Athena (159) has posed:
some of them begin to whisper clandestinely, and give Caude dirty looks but dont address him. Once inside, The young Mikkian girl guides him behind the front desk to an elevator thats labelled to be strictly for staff use...
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde watches her curiously. Why is she taking him into the staff-only areas? Was she supposed to be doing that? He hesitates momentarily, but follows her into the elevator eventually.
- Athena (159) has posed:
She takes him to a small room with a medical berth in it. "Wait here," she says, typing away furiously on her datapad. Then she leaves, and makes sure to close the door behind her...
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Huh. Cayde looks around the room a bit once he's alone, then gets up on the berth. After a few minutes, he takes out his lightsaber hilt and starts twirling it around in the air with the Force.

But he'll have to be careful, the room is small and if he loses control of it, it might break some of the glass jars on the counter. A few minutes later, however, the door opens and a droid comes in, looking aggravated. "You shouldn't be here," he grumbles.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Oh, but of course he's careful. The hilt spins laterally slightly above his palm. Slow at first, then faster and faster. But when the droid comes in, it stops and he quickly puts it away, looking slightly sheepish.
He shrugs at the comment and gets up off the berth as if he planned to just leave. [Then I go]
- Athena (159) has posed:
"Not -so- fast!" The droid complains. "You must take the left corridor back to the lobby. We can't have you--"
But then the Mikkian girl appears. "Tubi, no! Don't tell him to leave. The doctor agreed to see him--"
The droid turns around angrily. "You lied to him didn't you?!" But before she can respond, the doctor himself aopears in the hallway...
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde was about to follow the droid's instructions, but then secretary protests. Unsure of what to do, he just sort of stands there awkwardly, watching them argue. But his gaze goes over to Dr. Cassias when he arrives. Wait, Soren wanted to do it himself? He hadn't expected that...
- Athena (159) has posed:
The doctor seems surprised to see Cayde. His brows furrow. Cayde can really only guess about what the secretary had told him, but whatever she'd said, it hadn't been the truth. There's a pregnant pause.
Then the doctor sighs, massages his temple lightly, and then says, "Well I'm here, and he's here, so we might as well run the tests." He gestures for Cayde to go back into the room.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
There is some hesitation again. What had she told him? Why had she wanted Soren to see Cayde personally?
But after a few seconds he nods and goes back into the room, sitting down on the berth as requested.

The young Mikkian smiles uncertainly, as the droid scolds her and starts escorting her back to the lobby.
The doctor takes out a datapad, and dons a pair of glasses, gesturing for Cayde to sit. "How are you today?" he asks. "Excited for the expedition?"
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
[Good] Cayde signs, nodding and sitting down on the berth again. Although he doesn't answer the question about the expedition. To be honest, he is a bit nervous about it.
- Athena (159) has posed:
the doctor doesn't press him, at least. It seems like he's just asking for the sake of asking and treating Cayde the same way he'd treat any other patient.
"You know the file you submitted was incomplete," he says, his eyes glued to the datapad he's looking at. "Any idea why?"

[Records are missing...] Cayde answers, shrugging. He rubs the back of his head, frowning slightly as if he had something else to say but isn't sure how to explain it.
After a bit he finally lands on, [Father is criminal]

The doctor's brows furrow. "How do you mean? Shouldn't the Order have all your medical records on file?"
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde shakes his head. Truthfully, there wasn't really an official record. He'd only found out himself through his connection to Kuyvar...
[Records missing] he signs again.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The doctor sighs, and takes off his glasses. "Yes, I know that," he says.
"Look, we need to complete the records. If you don't think there's some way we can obtain them, then I'll do an assessment myself. However, it may be lengthy and will require you to fill out some forms on your own time."
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde nods, that seemed reasonable enough. He didn't have anything to hide. [Okay doctor] he signs, and waits for him to proceed with whatever needed to be done to complete the records.
- Athena (159) has posed:
He stands up, and motions for Cayde to follow him out of the room. If Cayde follows, he'll take the young padawan down the hallway to a larger room with some kind of hi-tech looking scanner inside of it. There's a sliding berth that appears to be on a mechanism that slides inside the scanner, and the doctor motions for him to lie on it.

Some kind of scan, no doubt. Cayde nods and gets up onto the berth, lying down face up on it.
- Athena (159) has posed:
He pauses, a brow arched. "Your lightsaber," he says.
"It can't go into the scanner with you. Give it here." He holds out a hand.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Oh, right. Cayde nods and hands the weapon over, then goes to lie back down again.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The doctor takes the saber and then begins the scan. The berth Cayde is lying moves slowly into the scanner, where he'll be ringed with an array of blue lights for a few minutes before the berth slides out again.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde lies as still as he can, though it is hard not to fidget.
As the data begins to feed in, Soren will observe a few notable things. First, the young padawan seems to have some kind of low level bacterial infection in his throat that probably has been there for a while in spite of a lack of outward manifestations or symptoms.
Second, if he had previously any doubts in his mind that this was his wife's child, there's no longer any validity to them. The similarities were too striking to be a coincidence.
Third, his brain is...very different from a normal human's. In fact, had he not known any better he may have questioned whether it even belonged to a human at all. He may have previously considered the reason why the padawan didn't have cybernetics, but now it's quite clear.

He sighs quietly, massaging the bridge of his nose.
"Alright," he says. "We'll need to take a few blood tests, and then I'm going to send some forms for you to fill out and then send back when you're finished with them," he says.
He stands up, looking very tired for a split second before he starts heading out back into the hallway.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde sits back up once the scan is finished. Was that it? He nods when the doctor says he'd have to fill out some forms.
- Athena (159) has posed:
He takes Cayde to another room, this time, there's a large chair and a towering Besalisk female with milky white blind eyes.
"Heya, kiddo!" she says, "How ya feeling? Hopefully this won't be more than a few pin pricks.." she gestures for him to sit in the chair.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde nods and sits down in the chair. Blood draws, he assumes. He rolls up the sleeve of his robe on his left arm and holds it out for her.
- Athena (159) has posed:
She moves in and gently presses on his arm for a bit, looking for a vein.
"Not very chatty, are ya..." she says, unaware that Cayde is mute. "Heard lots of things about ya. Lotsa rumors..."
Then she takes out a needle and starts the blood draw.

His veins are actually kind of hard to find. But he arches a brow at that comment about the rumors.
The young Jedi carefully tries reaching into her mind...
<What have you heard?> he asks.
- Athena (159) has posed:
She startles, accidentally jerking the needle out prematurely.
"Uhh... ahhh.. Sorry about that..."
She goes back to finding another vein. "Just that you're the troublemaking sort!" she chuckles. "Just kidding. Hey, take it easy. Doc says you got some kind of infection." Once she starts the draw again, she reattaches the empty vials.

Wait, but she hadn't answered the actual question of what sorts of rumors she'd actually heard? Instinctively, he starts searching her mind, trying to find the answer himself as she busies herself drawing the blood.
- Athena (159) has posed:
She hadn't heard that much, apparently. Just about him being related to Gianka, and therefore having ties to the doctor. But also, that he'd caused the doctor an undue amount of grief -- how, and why, though, she won't know details about.
- Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde sighs. He'd only been trying to help Soren...
He suddenly looks dejected. When the draw is finished he gets up from the chair, but waits to see if the besalisk woman needs anything else from him.
- Athena (159) has posed:
The doctor is... gone. He'd gone out as soon as the Besalisk woman had taken over.
"Here," she says, handing him a couple of datapads. "The, uh, doc left these for you. Fill 'em out and get them back to us as soon as possible, okay? Now go home and get some rest, and don't forget to drink lots of water. You'll need to be at your best when we board the Legacy II..."

He takes the datapads and nods, then takes his leave. But he tries to make it a point to thank the Mikkian secretary on his way out.
