Droid Parts
Date of Scene: 30 April 2024
Location: Mid Rim - Takodana - Andui Spaceport
Synopsis: Wynn and Zealot discuss the loss of Colonel X.
Cast of Characters: 195, 323

Amarik (195) has posed:
It's evening, and the Vagabond's Destiny is likely somewhere not too close, but also not too near, the Andui spaceport. Somewhere near enough to civilization to still make a decent holo-call to a planet in the Outer Rim, but also not anywhere obvious, given the fact that Wynn had decided to adopt a wayward droid with a bounty on her helm.

The Zeltron smuggler might have to try several times in order to get through to Cornelia, but eventually, the would-be E'ronoh Queen picks up. Trying to persuade her to 'send help,' however, is an entirely different matter.

"Look, I know I owe you my life, but I have to stay on the side of the law, Wynn. I'm not a Jedi, or a genie in a bottle who can grant your any wish," the curly red headed female says a bit sourly.

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"Listen, I don't want to have to bring up the fact that I saved your life because you just brought it up but... I saved your life." Wynn is looking as fashionable and as innocently charming as possible right now. Or at least he's trying to. It's a little harder to get what he wants over holo but he's damn sure not going to just give up.

"And here I am, standing knee deep in a pile of bantha dung, and all I need from you is just a liiiiiiitle help. Just a tad. A smidge! All so I can live long enough that I may be able to see your beautiful face once more with my own eyes." Sprinkle a little romantic words on top and maybe it'll help.

"I'm not asking you to break the law. I would never do that." He makes a big showing of even crossing his heart. "All I'm asking you to do is the same thing I'd do, and have, for you." Finish it off with a sprinkle of light guilt flakes.

Amarik (195) has posed:
Cornelia rolls her eyes. She doesn't look impressed. "Alright, fine, fine. But you have to promise me you're not going to just pick up and run off to some remote planet. You have to return the droid to its rightful owner, whether he gives you the bounty or not."

Then she sighs. "What do you want, anyway? A few credits? A tip for someone who might be able to help you smuggle the droid offworld without getting knocked by the bounty hunters? I can't exactly send people to you, Wynn. I'm not Queen yet."

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"I knew you loved me back!"

Wynn takes the time to do a little dance of happiness and victory before he focuses up. "That would be amazing, actually. Would really help keep me from y'know being obliterated into a trillion pieces. And then where would you be the next time your life is in danger? Hm?" Wynn can't help but to pull a piece of that card again. Just to do it.

"I'll make sure the droid gets where it needs to get. I just want to be able to actually make it there. So I thank you, /my/ Queen." He doesn't care whether or not she's actually a Queen yet. He's going to plaster it on a little thick just to keep himself in her good graces. "... if you can throw in some extra credits for me too, well, I wouldn't mind the help getting the Vagabond's Destiny back to pristine condition." Wink.

Amarik (195) has posed:
Cornelia grumbles. "Very funny, Wynn. But might I remind you, I am -not- in the market for a relationship. Especially not right now."

"Seriously? You've made your point, you don't have to bring it up every single time you ask for a favor. I get it."

"I'll ask around, but I can't make any guarantees that I'll find someone before the bounty hunters get to you. I'll see if I can send you some credits, but the treasurer isn't exactly fond of you, and I'm eventually going to run out of excuses to give him. Also, if you misuse these credits," she says, leaning forward a bit threateningly. "You're -going- to regret it. I'll make sure of it."

Wynn's conversation with Cornelia will then be suddenly interrupted, by the sound of the gangplank descending. Wait, Z isn't supposed to be here right now, what's he doing back already...?

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"Relationship?! As much as I'd love to settle down with you, I can't. My heart belongs to the galaxy. But my body? Well, it'll see yours soon."

The sound of things happening on the ship causes him to hurry up with his goodbyes. "Don't worry, I'll take care of everything. Send it as soon as you can! Love me, byeeeee!" Wynn swipes the holo away and spins around in his seat to make sure that he's facing the right way and even has his hand on his blaster -- just in case. His life has been way too hectic lately. By the time the Vagabond's Destiny makes it back to being a Pleasure Yacht, nobody's going to even remember the name.

Strangely enough, Wynn doesn't say anything. Just waiting for the potential interloper to show themselves. Also, so he can shoot first if he needs to.

Amarik (195) has posed:
The marauder appears in the entrance of the cockpit, seeming weary as he leans against the doorframe.

"I've bad news," he informs the smuggler. Well, the droid isn't with him, and Z looks winded. That can't mean anything good.

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
Wynn doesn't have to draw on a potential interloper so that's good. He relaxes and leans back in his seat. "Is it that haircut because I already knew about that." Wynn is always with the levity even though he's pretty sure that there's going to be some actual bad news dropped in his lap at some point in the next few moments.

"What's up?"

Amarik (195) has posed:
"The bounty hunters took the droid," Zealot replies, finally sinking into one of the chairs in the cockpit across from Wynn.

"The Mandalorian, Volken Mons. Do you know of him?" the marauder asks.

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"Nope. Sounds like a thief though." Wynn plants his hands behind his head because that's where he's starting to feel a bit on the comfortable side. It makes this kind of conversation go a bit easier. At least on his side.

"Don't worry about it. There'll be plenty of other droids to steal and sell for an incredible profit and/or reward. We'll get the next one." Leave it to Wynn to take this mostly in stride.

Amarik (195) has posed:
"..." Wynn won't be able to read the marauder's expression because of the garish mask he always wears, but the Zeltron will definitely sense some negative emotions rolling off of Zealot. He's clearly dissatisfied with the outcome of the situation.

Finally, he says, "I may be able to track Mons down, and make a bargain, if I can find the correct droid parts." He pauses. "But if that fails, I want to go to Jedha after this."

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"Wait. You /want/ to chase down the bounty hunter that already managed to take the droid from you? What, why? Is this one of those 'death before dishonor' things? Because I didn't sign up for suicide missions. In fact, that is very much the opposite of what I signed up for." Wynn feels the need to remind Z just how much he does not want to go hunting down, of all things, a Mandalorian!

"Here, why don't I holo us a couple girls and we can do something /actually/ fun for once." Wynn waggles his eyebrows. "... or twice. Or three times. Or..."

Amarik (195) has posed:
Zealot waves a hand dismissively at Wynn, and shakes his head, his disapproval clear. "You need not be involved. All I want is passage to Jedha, within a reasonable timeframe," the marauder reminds the Zeltron. "I am not immodest, unlike you."

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"We really gotta' get you a sense of humor, Z. Seriously." Wynn shakes his head and moves to get up from his seat. "So how're we tracking down this Droid Thief and what parts do we need to make this trade? I need to know how many favors I'm about to cash in." Wynn looks at Zealot. "... For you." Wynn leaves out the huge payday that's also on the line here.

Amarik (195) has posed:
Zealot seems mildly surprised at the Zeltron's sudden change of heart. "I will reach out to my colleague. He may have word of where Mons went. If we're successful, you shall receive fifty percent of the bounty."

Then he stands, and exits the cockpit, heading for the refreshers.

From somewhere else within Vagabond's Destiny, a small squeaky voice will call out, "Mr Viasco, I fixed everything up, are you gonna have a look at it all??"

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"Make it sixty and I'll finally forgive the fact that you tried to kill me the first time we met." Wynn doesn't really wait for an answer and just pats Z on the shoulder. "Let me go make sure we're all set and you uh... do something abouot all..." Wynn holds a hand up ini front of Z's masked face. "... this."

Wynn blows a teasing kiss at his Marauder 'friend' and then starts to skip his way off towards the squeakiest of voices. "Coming, dear!"

Amarik (195) has posed:
Zealot shakes his head at the Zeltron, leaning away from him slightly when he pats him on the shoulder, before breaking away to enter the refreshers.

Reevak peeks out from behind a bulkhead and waves at Wynn. "Over here!" the teenaged Nautolan says.

If Wynn comes to inspect, he'll see that the former Jedi youngling has done an excellent job at patching up the paneling where it had previously been torn away. "Whaddya think?"

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"What do I think? I think you're gonna' have to move to the bunk closer to mine. Keep this up and I might have a First Mate gig with your name on it." Wynn takes a moment to rub his hand along the paneling, his fingers caressing the Destiny as if he hadn't seen her in months. It feels like that whenever she gets damaged. Which she shouldn't be since she's a dang pleasurecraft! But whatever.

"You're the glue that's gonna' hold my girl together." Wynn sprinkles another little compliment in Reevak's direction.

Amarik (195) has posed:
"-First- mate?" Reevak says, his saucer sized eyes becoming impossibly large. "But I'm not fifteen... not yet. I hope that isn't a problem." Then the Nautolan beams. "Thanks, Mr. Viasco...!"

His attention is diverted momentarily when the sound of the shower from the refreshers comes from across the hall. "..."

"Mr. Viasco, don't you think Z is... uh... a little scary? I don't know anything about him, I can't even read him in the Force, 'cause he's Force sensitive too and he blocks me. I'm actually not even sure if Z is a boy. He might be a girl, I dunno. Never seen Z not wearing a mask."

Wynn Viasco (323) has posed:
"Eh. Every crew needs someone scary on it. How else do you think we stay alive?"

Wynn Viasco lets those words drop down onto Reevak before he sends him off into the ship to do something else. Because now he's got to go get ready to do something else himself.

His hair.
