Meeting about the Dark Saber
Date of Scene: 12 December 2024
Location:
Synopsis: The heads of House Vizsla discuss how to keep the Dark Saber in House Vizsla; Jorn and Revara talk next steps.
Cast of Characters: 159, 418, Ellari Zin, Volken Mons

Athena (159) has posed:
Evening has fallen in the SundI spaceport, and consequently, the crowds there have started to die down a bit.

The timing is ideal for Reeve, who is making her way to Jorn's ship with a few of her belongings, hoping not to be seen by those who would antagonize her, which is most.

So she stays to the shadows, avoiding large crowds. Her hope is that when she gets to Jorn's ship, he'll be there...

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn's in his ship just waiting. He waits in the shadows for a moment. Twirling his blaster from time to time, the familiarity of the weight, the sounds, everything reminding him of training, simpler days and old lessons. He just continues until the door to the ship opens up. All the lights go off in the place, as he expects. Jorn will rise from his spot and roll his shoulder.

Holstering the blaster, he simply waits to see what he hopes is a peaceful sight.

Athena (159) has posed:
Revara enters, carrying a duffel and a small pouch. She seems oddly at peace, for the time being.

She nods in greeting at Jorn. "What will you do now? House Vizsla may allow for the passing of the Dark Saber to a different house."

Athena (159) has posed:
Speaking of which, across the street, a group of House Vizsla members have gathered at a nearby cantina to discuss a path forward should Old man Vizsla pass within the next forty eight hours...

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari had gone to the hospital to pay the old man a visit...and also assess his condition for herself. Then she'd made her way to the meeting at the cantina. Strange place for such a matter of importance, but perhaps it wasn't as formal of a meeting as she'd prefer.

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn sees Revara and he gives her a nod. The air isn't stale, but it's still, not quite clinical. Like he tries to keep people off the ship or a lot passing through. Guiding her through, she'll see a few rooms. One is a decent sized room. There's a dull grey table with matching seats, very clinical. At the center there is a device, he might use this for navigation or debriefing given the small nature of the device at the center. Some would call it a puck or similar. However, that seat set up may say it doubles as a dining area or at least a sitting area. Plus, two mounted heads on different walls, and glasses cases holding what looks like invaluable jewels, yet slightly cheap up close, in cases may divulge into a past. Someone that takes mementos from missions or moments in life.

Obviously in the main hall there are few weapon racks built into the ship. Near the mounts is a slug blaster inside a glass frame. The case around tells its own tale. A simple red with accents of gray. Inscribed in orange are the simple words, "Until the next hunt" in orange. These words are even etched in the upper left corner of the glass in the same color, except in hutteese.

Heavy footfalls echo through his ship and he nods, opening a large set of doors. The Master Bedroom, "Your room" it's obviously his room. Jorn's room isn't quite spartan, there are a few bits and bobs, but most seem to be in the ship. In the night stand are a few holo pucks. Inside are different stills at equally odd points. One is just a couple, obviously not him. Mandalorians, but the armor doesn't match up color wise. Plus, one is clearly a woman. Next is one of the same mandos with a foundling. The foundlings armor is a multi-colored monstrosity of whites, reds, greens, gold, it all screams finding a way. Lastly, is another photo two mandos, one younger given size. The younger wears black armor plates against a dark red body suit, gold highlights different parts of the armor. The larger mando, obviously the ones from before. It's not hard to put together a timeline of who, what and when given the physical where. The bed is large, size of a queen bed, actually quite relaxing despite the simple grey blankets.

"I can stay in a guest quarter," Jorn says offering the better of the two beds. "Has all the basic bits you could want. It'll do until I can upgrade it," and that's his ship. It's obviously function of fashion. His gaze lingers for a moment, "Comfort is my goal here. Whatever I can do, ask," he says the words not quite matter of fact, there's a nervous edge to them, but they're genuinely spoken.

Athena (159) has posed:
The old man doesn't seem like he'll make it, but the doctors tell Ellari they can't be sure exactly how long, or if somehow he'll make a miraculous recovery.

Upon arriving at the cantina, Ellari may find it is indeed a rather informal and impromptu meeting, as not all of the House heads are here. However, Caine is. His brother, however, is absent. But her attention will be drawn to the front of the room, where the Old Man Viszla's wife is standing, observing all who are currently present.

"You really don't have to do that," Reeve says, observing the ship, its contents, and then finally the master quarters. There's a pause. "We could... both fit in the bed," she suggests. "If you don't mind."

Then she says, "You didn't answer my question."

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari seats herself as far away from Caine as she can and she does her best to ignore him, turning her attention to the lady of the hour. It seems she has something important to say...

Jorn (418) has posed:
"We could. If you don't mind," Jorn counters with amused smile in his voice. They will sound like a broken record for a split second. "Again, make yourself at home."

Then he thinks of that question. It gives him pause. "I imagine everyone will come for it. I guess we will see how a pistolier will handle a blade," Jorn's response comes forward. Everyone's going to make a bid for it, he will throw his metaphorical hat into the ring. See what happens when the dust settles. He knows the odds are against him, but more trouble may come for him if Jorn does nothing.

Athena (159) has posed:
Eventually, everyone settles in, and the Old Man Vizsla's wife smiles faintly. "Thank you all for coming," she says. "I've heard that many of you are interested in keeping the Dark Saber's rite of passage within House Viszla. I think this can be arranged." Ellari may notice that several stir. They seem to not like proposition. "It will worsen internal House strife," someone finally pipes up.

She seems slightly shocked by his response but doesn't comment. Instead, she sits down on the bed. "And what about you?"

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari arches a brow at the one who protested. "You don't think we can handle it, do you?" she remarks. "If you have no pride in your House, then what are you doing here, anyway?"

Jorn (418) has posed:
"We should see where everyone is. I'll put my hand out, make sure it doesn't get cut off," Jorn says. Then he will clarify, "I am comfortable about the bed if you want to share it. Everything is on your comfort," he's not sure what the question applies to, so he clarifies for each.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Don't be so naive," the speaker sneers at Ellari. "You know how our House is, already. Another duel between two notable Viszla members will divide us even further."

But others seem to favor Ellari's point of view, and suddenly, the room has fallen to squabbling. Yet, in the midst of all of it, the lady herself approaches Ellari and gestures for her to follow her to the back of the cantina.

Revara then frowns. "You think you can win?" She shakes her head but doesn't further comment. "What house do you even favor?"

Ellari Zin has posed:
That sort of response was expected. Ellari tries to make note of those who seemed to make it known that they agreed with her. Then the ringleader approaches her, and seems to have something to say to her in private so she nods and follows.

Jorn (418) has posed:
"My own. It's why I was invited," Jorn says to that part. "I think I got a shot. The odds are merely a suggestion," and that's all he will say there. In his mind, Volken has the best odds, but fortune favors the bold. So, he will try to be bold.

"C'mon. I feel like there's a place I need to be," he refrains from a comment because now isn't the time for quips. Although, he will pause to see if she will follow or not. He knows Revara is laying low. So, he will pause to see what she does.

Athena (159) has posed:
The lady leads her to the patio outside of the cantina in the back. "My husband will likely not make it through tomorrow night," she says to Ellari. "I need a favor. You wish to keep this internal, don't you?"

She searches his expression for a moment. "Don't do this for me," she says softly, moving to remove his helmet if he doesn't protest and touch his cheek gently. She pauses. "You should go. I think...I think I need to be alone for a while." But if Jorn goes to exit his ship, he may find an unexpected visitor standing at the bottom of the gangplank. It's one of the Barons...

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari nods. "And you share my confidence in our House's ability to lead?" she asks, following her out onto the patio. "What is it you would have me do?"

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn doesn't question and the helm comes off. His cheek his warm, "I'm not. I was invited to the planet for a reason. I'm going to prove that," he speaks with the helmet off. Nothing modified and then he kisses her hand. Whatever part of it is close to said cheek. Then he will assist putting his helmet back on. "Part of that means taking opportunities like this one and seeing what happens," and then he gives a nod. "Take as long as you need. Bathroom works," he says if Revara wanted to get comfortable.

Going down to the ship's entrance, he opens it up to see a Baron. The Mandalorian pauses. "Yes?" Jorn says in a neutral tone. He's trying not to sound too clinical, nor too friendly. So, a simple acknowledgement and question rolled into one is the way to go. He will try to see if this Baron is alone when it happens. And here Jorn thought the evening may be somewhat uneventful.

Athena (159) has posed:
The lady doesnt answer Ellari's first question. "In a different era, the sons or grandsons would battle for the Dark Saber. I don't see why we can't still fall back on this tradition. Thaelin can duel one of his cousins, and we can ensure his winning. Then, at best, we won't risk sowing division amongst yourselves, no one cares for the barons. At worst, we rid ourselves of weaker, dishonorable members, which isn't at all so bad, either. The only problem lies in getting them to initiate the rite of passage. They're close, after all."

Revara watches him go, her expression soft and affectionate. "Good luck," she whispers.

The Baron wastes no time. "I want you to leave Mandalore," he says directly, "and completely disentangle yourself from our family."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Hmm..." Ellari nods slowly, she can see where this is going. "You want me to try convincing them to make bids and challenge each other? I'm not sure if I'm the right candidate--I don't exactly have their ears."

Jorn (418) has posed:
"I already won once today, let's see if I can win twice," are Jorn's words before the door opens.

"If I leave Mandalore, the latter isn't happening. And the latter wouldn't happen if I stay. I respectfully decline your request, sir," Jorn gives a nod to the Baron.

"I have business to attend. Stay off my ship, let me pass,"he says to the Baron justwanting to go where the rest of the crew is for now. Weapons are not drawn at the moment.

Volken Mons has posed:
Heavy booted feet announce the arrival of Volken, along with the shaking of the floor and walls, well before the titanic Mandalorian actually enters the Cantina. He ducks low, squeezes in and takes a moment to look around the room in search of a few particular that would stand out to him. One is missing. Jorn. He frowns darkly at that, their conversation was not completed before and it may become more and more relevant now with the news of the Dark Saber being potentially up for grabs.

Exactly the sort of nonsense he was trying to stay out of.

A sigh escapes him and instead he starts forward to approach a place to grab a drink intending on leaving with it unless someone attempts to stop him.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Don't be absurd. Kasseady is easy to manipulate. A good strong drink, and a pretty face with strong arms can convince him to do anything. You know this. You've done it before, haven't you?"

The baron chuckles darkly. "You really couldn't be more careless with where you tread, it seems. The Dark saber's ownership is in flux, and convienently you've claimed to be engaged to the sister of owner's grandson."

as soon as Volken enters, Thaelin will approach. "Volken!"

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Hmph." She sighs. It was a fair point. "Yes, and I would rather not do it again. But there are more important matters than personal preference. I'll see whenever I can bring him to a less reputable cantina next." she remarks with a slight scoff.

A slight pause. "Caine is a different story, however..."

Jorn (418) has posed:
The baron is unmoved by those words. "You're acting like I had a master plan when this is merely coincidence or the fates at work. Take your pick," he looks at the Baron.

And now Jorn will try to pass by the baron. Just trying to keep this peaceful despite the threats. He will keep his mouth shut. Although, Jorn is highly amused that someone thinks he planned this chaos to happen. Some of the chaos he's still coming to terms with.

Volken Mons has posed:
"H'lo Thaelin..." Volken's deep voice is friendly and bemused. He seems fairly pleased to see him though the lingering matters of the Dark Saber lurk and Thaelin's presence here seems to only bolster that as he's reminded of how @close he is to the situation. He claims a drink and raises it to the groom while saying with a chiding tone, "Aint you gotten married -yet-?"

The whole thing is just dragging ona nd on as far as Volken is concerned. "Maybe you -should- elope, mmm?"

Ellari and those she's with gets a glance. Caine he very much recognizes for obvious reasons but he just studios him from afar for now.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Don't worry about Caine. You only need to convince one of them and make sure the other doesn't interfere. Do this for me, and I'll see if I can't get you a better title. Duchess Zin does sound nice doesnt it?"

"On the contrary, it seems you've made up your mind about what you're choosing," the baron says, "and I think you'll very much regret it." When Jorn pushes past jim, he suddenly steps forward and actually starts going inside of his ship. Now what exactly was he up to?

Thaelin suddenly hugs the behemoth. "I wish. But some of the House members are trying to convince my father to make the games for the wedding different, and include inheritance of the Dark Saber among them. I don't like it, but... the alternative is to duel my cousins in the rite of passage."

Volken might notice however, that Caine is missing his sigils, which, aside from the beard, are what set him apart from his twin, Kasseady...

Ellari Zin has posed:
"I see," Ellari replies, nodding pensively. "Very well then, I'll do what I can. It should be easy, so long as no one...interferes." she tells the Lady Vizsla, glancing down toward the street where Volken, Thaelin, and Caine are visible. She notices the baron heading into Jorn's ship. Now just what was he up to?

Volken Mons has posed:
"Thaelin...." rumbles Volken as the hug comes in and startles him. Then he grumbles out: "Not in front of your cousins." He glance over, shifty eyed, in their direction and then moves to try and dislodge Thaelin from him though he takes his time and deliberate care.

The comment about the Dark Saber? That gets his attention for sure. "Inheritaance of the Dark Saber attached to -your- wedding?" This has suddenly become far more serious then he had even realized, "..That is just painting a target on you all... Duel your cousins? So what, these 'bloodless' games are supposed to satisfy their bloodlust?"

He sounds quite annoyed now, frustrated. Caine's lack of sigils does go noticed as well. What's that all about. ".."Have you seen Jorn? I wanted to talk to him. And Ellari Zin....."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Suddenly Jorn turns to go inside the ship. He'll shut the door and then he goes inside. "You're going to make this worse," Jorn says honestly as he doesn't want bloodshet yet. The Baron is inside his home, it's a violation of his desires. "You're not welcome on this ship. Out!" he says firmly just not a fan of this whatsoever. Looking around for the Baron, to see who is in his domain without consent.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Thank you," the lady says. But Ellari might notice that the baron she'd originally thought was Caine is still in the cantina, still talking to some other House Vizsla members. So who was heading for Jorn's ship?

"It's tradition," Thaelin says, his expression pained. "My father doesn't want either of those things and neither do I. But I'm not sure what else to do. Its what everyone else wants..." He seems distraught. "Ellari went to talk with Lady Viszla. Not sure why... but the conversation was private."

But once Jorn follows the Baron into his own ship, he wont be able to see where he'd gone. What did he want? Why is he trespassing...?

Volken Mons has posed:
Volken looks at Thaelin with some empathy and that is hard to get from the hardened mercenary with a berserker streak and a reputation for leaving broken bodies, so clearly the younger Mandalorian groom has managed to earn the giants legitimate interest and concern. "I see.." he rumbles before looking towards Caine in some confusion. "Where is your fahter now...?" he rumbles, curiously and then while eyeing Caine he notes, "He seems more dressed down then usual. Your cousin there."

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari nods again, but frowns. Wait, she'd thought that was Caine, but could it be Kass? Then she remembers that Jorn seems to be wrapped around Revara's fingers now, and she around his and that Caine is likely furiously jealous. Ah, so that must be Kass still in the cantina...

"Well, is there anything else you'd like to discuss? If not, I won't take any more of your time."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn's quiet as he moves around just searching for Baron. By now Jorn draws his blaster. Oh, his patience isn't exactly gone, but is fraying a little bit. He doesn't know all the details why Baron doesn't like him here. There are a few gusses, but that's all they are, guesses. And so that's going to be a mystery that needs unraveling.

Athena (159) has posed:
"At the Bastille, most likely," Thaelin says, sounding melancholy. "I'm concerned for him. If he doesnt do what House Vizsla wants..."

Thaelin squints. "Well that's odd. I can't think of why either of them wouldn't wear their sigils..."

"No, that's all." The lady says. "But keep me posted."

He'll eventually come upon the Baron in one of the rooms, examining the holopucks with images of varying Mandalorians, who are presumably connected to Jorn somehow. "Oh," he remarks sarcastically. "Am I intruding?"

Ellari Zin has posed:
"I will, my lady." Ellari says respectfully, and she turns to head back downstairs, looking for Kass. Or at least, whom she assumes is Kass. Presumably he's still at the bar somewhere.

Jorn (418) has posed:
"Tresspassing, but close enough. I was invited to the planet. You weren't invited in here," and then he looks at the Baron. Pointing the blaster forward. "Out. I've got obligations. You don't like me, I have that effect on people. Wheels are in motion, out," he gestures for the Baron to leave. He won't threaten yet. This is just bugging him, to say the least.

Volken Mons has posed:
"He's also being unusually 'placid' for Caine whose every word seethes acidity and lies." grumbles Volken as he glares towards 'Caine'.

"I'm goign to go finish my conversation with Jorn. If you don't need me... vod....then..." He nods his head at Thaelin and offers him a small smile before turning to begin heading in the direction of JOrn's ship.

Stepping away, he reaches up to activate his commlink, sending a message ahead of him.

"I'm coming over. We need to finish our conversation."

As he moves, he slows just enough to look towards Ellari, seeing he catches her gaze or not - but he doesn't stop his approach for Jorn's ship.

Athena (159) has posed:
Kass isn't actually at the bar, which isn't... like him. He's socializing. Very politely. Also not like him. Perhaps its not Kass, perhaps its Caine...

"Mm. You're right, I suppose." He pauses then turns on his heel. "Fine," he says. "since you're feeling in hospitable." And he turns on his heel and goes out, then down the gangplank and out of the ship, disappearing from sight.

"Hm, you're right, and wrong," Thaelin says, "He's usually more withdrawn at these kinds of meetings. Unless that's Kass. I can't tell from here. Kasseady doesnt act how he's acting, though." He nods when he says he's going to see Jorn. "Be careful," he says to him. "Tensions are running high right now."

Ellari Zin has posed:
Hmm...he isn't acting himself, but what reason would Kass have to harass Jorn? Caine is the one who is no doubt madly jealous of his relationship with Revara.

Well, she's certain it will become more evidence once she strikes up a conversation with him. She approaches the group he happens to be socializing with.

Jorn (418) has posed:
"Nothing I'm not used to already," and to him it's that simple. His gaze goes to the intruder and just waits for him to be gone. Jorn will shut the ship out before calling out, "You okay?" he asks loudly making sure Revara can hear him. "People don't like my nuptuals to you, but they can deal with it," and Jorn knows that means he can deal with their hatred, too.

Volken Mons has posed:
He may be wrong about some of what he said about Caine, true enough - but - Thaelin has likely not had the same dealings with Caine that Volken has and the giant Mando has not shared everything. He's seen and heard enough and even had the man attack him ...but he also has to concede mentally that he desn't know everything. Either way it's something to clear up later as for now he's continuing to approach the ship, conviently beginning to arrive after the 'Baron' has disappeared from it.

"Did you hear me?" he repeats over the radio comms to Jorn. "Answer me... And -no- Revara this time. She can't be that in love with you already. Come out."

Upon reaching the ship, he waits.

Athena (159) has posed:
But things seem to get even more foggy when Ellari when she approaches the group he's chatting with. He's not acting like Caine, or Kass...

Revara doesn't respond, and if Jorn goes to investigate, he'll find she'd fallen asleep in the cargo bay for some reason. She seems just fine, though.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari watches him for a few more minutes, but then decides perhaps she should save this conversation for another time. He seems preoccupied at the moment, anyway. There was no point in rushing any of this.

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn will do an inspection of Revara to make sure she is safe and sleeping due to exhaustion and nothing more. His gaze just running over her form for a moment, as quietly as possible.

Athena (159) has posed:
Perhaps Ellari has judged correctly. After Ellari watches him for a few minutes, he eventually excuses himself politely (which is rather uncharacteristic of Kass, at least) and leaves the cantina gathering.

She's unharmed, and for once in her life, seems at peace. But Jorn may begin to wonder why the Baron had so rudely intruded - clearly he'd had no intent to harm Revara, and he'd taken nothing (or so far, it would seem he had not). What had he come aboard his ship for...? Simply to show Jorn he could do whatever he liked?

Ellari Zin has posed:
It was also possible he was purposefully acting strange or even pretending to be his brother. Who knew what kind of trouble they might be up to, after all? Ellari decides to leave him be for now...

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn starts to carefully look over the ship. He knows this could be for many reasons. Still, he thinks one thing this family has in spades: craftiness. And so, he doesn't trust this to be -just- a show of power. Also, he would rather overestimate most of them than underestimate them. Over is safer to under in this situation. Although, he will keep an eye out for anything interesting.

Athena (159) has posed:
Jorn won't find anything peculiar or out of place right away. But once he reaches the cargo hold, he may notice that in the back, there are some crates that look like they've been shifted slightly...

Ellari will suddenly find herself being approached by another one of the more liberal House Viszla aristocrats. "Have you heard? Some of our representatives are going to make a proposition to the Duke tonight, to include the Dark Saber as a prize for the victor of whatever competition he hosts for his son's wedding. And word on the street is that many of the other House members support this..."

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Oh? And do you approve of it yourself?" Ellari asks him, raising a brow. "Are -you- among those 'other House members'?"

Jorn (418) has posed:
And Jorn draws a blaster then goes toward the crates, slowly. Just hoping nothing menacing, or heartbreaking, lingers. His gaze focused. Just keeping cool. Sending a message, text only, to Revara <Are you okay?> The man presses onward for a moment, knowing he has to be another place, too.

Athena (159) has posed:
"Perhaps," the other Mandalorian says to Ellari. "I do not want to encourage fighting amongst members in our own House." He pauses. "And what about you? Whose side will you take?"

She doesn't respond, presumably she's still asleep. Nothing springs from the crates, at least, but perhaps he needs to check their contents...

Ellari Zin has posed:
"It's not a matter of 'sides'." Ellari remarks, shaking her head. "It's a matter of what I believe is best for our House. Which is also dependent on what sort of competition Duke Thyssel has in mind."

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn starts to check the contents of each package carefully. He does try to make sure they're safe before opening them. Again, curiousity, but he'll send a message to Ellari. <"My arrival has been delayed. I'm throwing my helm into the metaphorical ring. I need someone to be my voice if I was sent a distraction.">

Athena (159) has posed:
"Why don't you visit the Duke yourself?" the other House member says. "You could suggest something to him. Surely he would simply have a mesh'geroya tournament for possession of the Dark Saber." He shakes his head. "I'm going to meet with the other representatives. Perhaps we do not have to invoke the rite at all." And he turns on his heel to leave.

Nothing, nothing, nothing. Jorn might be about to give up searching all the crates when he finds an oblong shaped item at the bottom of one of the crates, wrapped in shimmersilk. This wasn't here before...!

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Perhaps I will." Ellari replies, shrugging.

Then he receives a message from Jorn. She scoffs slightly to herself. What a fool. <<"Oh? What sort of 'distraction'?">> she asks, although she has a fair idea already.

Jorn (418) has posed:
<The Duke.> Jorn says honestly. Then he pulls out the objects from shimmersilk <They left me a gift...> Jorn waits to see what awaits him. And he has a really bad feeling about this.

Athena (159) has posed:
Indeed. The terrible feeling Jorn has as he pulls the item from the shimmersilk will be confirmed.

The Dark Saber!

Now he is in a predicament. There's no way he can just give it back to whomever had just 'gifted' it to him. Nor can he allow anyone to know he has it! He could secretly return it, perhaps? It's one option, certainly...

Ellari Zin has posed:
<<"You plan to see him as well?">> Ellari asks in reply, even as she starts heading toward the Bastille herself.

Jorn (418) has posed:
<<Well, I was just left a present. Duke left one of the most precious artifacts on my ship before telling me to go. I think I've been set up> he says in the text while eyeing the dark sabre. <<And now there is a big target on my back.>> Jorn groans inwardly as this was a burden he did not want. Is he surprised? Kriff no. Just hates that it's here in his hands.

Athena (159) has posed:
Just then he'll hear Revara out in the hallway. "Jorn?" she calls sleepily. "Where are you? What are you doing?... are you in the cargo hold?" Well he could hide it, or try to explain himself...

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari frowns and suddenly stops walking as she reads that response. The Duke? That...didn't really make sense. Her eyes narrow. What was this, some kind of attempt at a victim card to get her to help him and Revara? <<"The Duke? That doesn't sound like the Duke at all. Unless you're talking about a different duke.">>

Jorn (418) has posed:
<<Had a visitor on a ship wanting me to leave planet, go back to where I came and pretty much considered me chaos incarnate. IF I left with this thing. I would have been called a thief.>> Jorn's putting puzzle pieces together and he thinks whatever force is out there that Ellari somewhat trusts him. That's a major boon right now for him.

Athena (159) has posed:
Jorn will then hear Revara enter the cargo hold. "Jorn?" she calls again.

"What the kriff are you doing in here?" She's about to round the corner and see him...

Ellari Zin has posed:
<<"A visitor? Who?">> Ellari asks. Abruptly, she turns around and starts heading toward Jorn's ship. <<"Perhaps we should discuss this matter in person.">>

Jorn (418) has posed:
Jorn's holding the dark saber and then he looks at Revara. "We're the head clawn now." Oh, Jorn doesn't like this, but he knows what this means. Like heads with crowns in times long long ago, heavy is hand that wields the sabre. <<Yes.> Is the only reply he gives.

Athena (159) has posed:
She stares at him in disbelief. "... what is the meaning of this?!" she says.

She starts to reach for her blaster, but slowly. She's giving him time. Time to explain how this had happened...

Jorn (418) has posed:
"The Duke wanted me gone. He was on the ship. Refused to leave, told me to leave. Like my mere presence soiled or ruined everything. Rather than accept his folly, he asked me to go. I don't trust people that come to my ship without an invitation or permission. Nor do I trust them when I say 'Leave' and they do not. And only go further into my ship," he looks about realizing the folly. Then he wonders if Duke knows about the sabre. "He wanted me to go without you. To break up the marriage and just make myself a ghost. And I didn't trust him to not bug, trap or any manner of things. I thought this is what he left behind. Like planted evidence," Jorn just goes with honesty because it's the only option he has.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari had been half-expecting him to have been bluffing for some reason, but once she arrives, that idea is out the window... no, this is definitely the dark saber.

And Jorn is telling Revara the same story he told her. "And exactly why should I believe you?" she asks, folding her arms. "How do I know this isn't some kind of victim card game you're playing, trying to get out of mess you've gotten yourself into, by trying to marry...her." her gaze flicks sharply over to Revara.

Athena (159) has posed:
Her gaze flicks around, and for a moment, she looks as if she perhaps is very disinclined to believe Jorn.

Her hand falls away from her blaster. "It's okay," she whispers, ignoring Ellari for now. "I believe you."

Then she removes his helmet and kisses him softly.

Jorn (418) has posed:
"Because I want my house to have a seat at the table, that -was- my goal. Get a footing, no more, no less, but I wasn't aiming high until -very- recently. The timeline doesn't match up. And you're asking me where a priceless treasure is at. I can lead people to many things, I do not have the resources to lead someone to find this," he smirks. "And for my next trick I'll find a minting planet for republic coin. My follow up will be finding the planet with a diamondsteel core that's the size of a small mooon. That's the level of difficulty I would rank finding this blade, next to impossible. Not impossible, but highly improbable," and he looks at Ellari. "And why would admitting my plan get attention off of me. Telling you complicates it," his words centered, despite how they may come across. Jorn knows the fresh Hell this brings to him. Still, he will take it because even Jorn won't buck at this tradition. It may be one of the few he holds in reverence.

Kissing Revara softly, he nods to her. "Thank you," and the words are genuine. Despite how the words may be taken, nothing is a lie. He would have voted everyone else at the table finding the blade before him with a simple caveat, "Unless I kriffing stumble upon it randomly in an act that can only be described as simply 'the force did it.'" Jorn may never give anything a caveat ever again.

Ellari Zin has posed:
Ellari stares at them in disgust. Seriously? Of course Revara would just do that in front of whomever. "You fool! You -know- as well as I do that the Darksaber must only be acquired through the trial of combat. You dishonor House Vizsla, and all of Mandalore." she scoffs. "None of your self-deprecating is working. I don't know what you hoped to accomplish, but Duke Thyssel would -never- do what you have accused him of."

Athena (159) has posed:
Revara strokes Jorn's cheek gently. "You have my loyalty," she says gently.

Then to Ellari, she says, "Leave us," Revara hisses. "If you want to invoke the rite against Jorn, then do so, but set the date for the duel to be later."

"If there is going to be a proper victor, then all of Mandalore must be given the chance to witness him."

Jorn (418) has posed:
"I don't know where it came from. I mean that in a very literal sense. You can tell me where it is, but I don't know one kriffing thing about the layout to even consider a heist. Nor would I have the resources to do something, despite what security footage may say. And I'm probably not carrying around my 'Nopa-Fierfek.'" Jorn closes his eyes and puts his helmet on. The cheek stroke does strike him. And so, he notes Revara's armor for a moment. Just making a mental note for something. Days of having faith in Revara seem to be yielding unexpected results.

Ellari Zin has posed:
"Fine," Ellari finally relents. "I'm sure I won't be the only one, anyway." She then turns to leave in a huff.

Athena (159) has posed:
Revara leans on Jorn a little, her expression tired. "You should prepare," she finally says after a moment, stepping away.

"House Viszla, and many others will come after you, now. Hide it for now, and hopefully by the time they come, we'll have a plan..."
