He Didn't Even Shoot First
Date of Scene: 02 January 2024
Location: Upper Uscru District - Coruscant
Synopsis: A bunch of Mandalorians end up at a police station in Coruscant. Chaos ensues.
Cast of Characters: Drinna Talstri, Volken Mons, 251, 271, Cayde Alexis

Drinna Talstri has posed:
For the first time in awhile, Drinna wasn't on errand duty. Instead they decided to gift her the fun job of collecting information from those recently arrested, which had resulted thus far in her being spat on, hit on and threatened more times than she could count. Thankfully with her hobby of spending time in the lower levels, it wasn't as shocking as the person who'd put her in charge had hoped.

The next name on her list was up on a higher floor and Drinna took the stairs to avoid awkward elevator moments. Nearing the cell she cleared her throat,"Khalo Fett?" She said looking up from her sheet, "Up for a chat?"

Volken Mons has posed:
Well The Great Coruscant Vacation could have gone better. Truth be told, when he first managed to make his way onto the planet through bribery and muscle work in order to attend to various matters of personal business in the lower levels...he hadn't intended on staying for as long as he did. Logic and wisdom would have ushered him back off world following his less then savory business out of the eyesight of the local forces of law and justice. However Volken of clan Mons' sense of curiosity and thirst for drink can somtimes override what passes for cunning and savvy thinking and suddenly minding ones own business has turned into a burnt down bar and gambling hall and the CFS is on your tail.

He didn't even shoot first!

Clearing out of there was in his best interests to say the last. Finding a way off world in order to properly heal and regroup was next on the agenda but, sadly, he's not exactly buil for stealth and with this bounty on him - even with most being unwilling to risk it given the look of him - it was only a matter of time before -somebod- tried it..and the CSF got involved again.

This time, he decided not to run. A few broken bounty hunters and one CSF member being choked out by being curled up against the giants body leading to a number of blasters being trained at him ...just led to him surrendering and now he's being marched down the hallway, dressed in the prison outfit and his mammoth body practically filling the hall up from one shoulder to the other as the security agents practically nervously swallowed up up by his looming frame, rapidly rush to try and find a cell for him.
Hisll this ultimately ends up leading him straight towards Drinna as the small entourage rounds a corner and he begins leading him straight towards her where she currently stands.

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
It was the only choice.

Khalo could've killed them all. He could've killed every. Last. One. But if he pursued that course of action? Revara would've been killed. He had no choices in this, if he wanted what he did. He wanted to bring Revara back to Mandalore, allow her the vengeance she craves, and re-expose her to the Creed. Can't happen if she's dead.

Which brings us here.

As the Mandalorian rested in his cell, without armor. His short-cut hair in military cut visible. His dark eyes. Strong jaw with a simple beard. He looks a mean man. Even moreso since he seems to be doing handstand push-ups while awaiting in his cell.

Strength must be maintained even in the most trying of circumstances. Yet as he's being asked if he's ready to talk? His eyes lift to look at her, his feet coming down to touch the ground as he stands up, beskar-less, stuck in normal garb. "And what shall we discuss?"

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
Just down the hall from Khalo's cell is where Revara is being kept. The Mandalorian will be able to see her lying supine on a berth. Her eyelids are purple and bruised, and there are dark circles under her eyes. She looks like a shell of her former self.

Meanwhile, as soon as Drinna approaches Khalo, a couple of other officers approach her. "Ma'am. The medics wanted to let us know that the female Mandalorian had made a request to speak with -him- once she wakes up." They glance over at Khalo. "Let us know when you're finished. We ought monitor their conversation."

Drinna Talstri has posed:
"I'm supposed to record your side of the story, and anything you have to say that might help move things in your favor." Drinna looked him over and made a small note before adding, "Unless you feel there's nothing left to add and then I'll leave you be."

The one unique side of her job was being able to see a Mando without their armor. Despite what most thought, they were just regular people, like her. Scarier, for sure. A little more muscular, usually. They all still died the same as the rest of the regular crowd put into a cell eventually though.

Volken Mons has posed:
The set of guards and the giant draw closer, the massive shadow of Volken beginning to reach out to swallow Drinna up as the mammoth and his entourage begin to slow to wait to be acknowledged by her.

In contrast to Khalo, Volken's hair is unkempt and long, bangs hanging heavy strands over the front of his face casting his eyes and nose in shadow while his broad mouth is pursed in a look of perpetual stoic annoyance at the current situation. His massive jaw works back and forth, jutting out the brick like shape and the roughly formed light beard there and his nostrils flare bullishly with a rumbling snort as he and his guards slow some distance away from Drinna as she is first addressed by Khalo and then by the other guards concerning yet another scion of Mandalore being held a short distance away.

Ov rhearing some of that exchange causes the giant to hood his eyes slightly and then flicker his gaze in the direction of the cell holding Khalo and then further down the distant hall, in search of any signs to indicate the location of the cell of the female Mando in question.

After a pause he slowly gives a shadowed smile, teeth visible as a bassy rumbling chuckle emits from him.

"Got you as well, eh?" he speaks, heavy voice quaking through the air in Mando'a, easily audible to Khalo by proximity to his cell and Drinna, though it's far from a yell.

"Quiet!" commands one of the CSF guards behind him, giving the giant an unsuccessful shove attempt and ultimately rebounding backwards as the towering Mando barely wobbles from the effort. He does acquiesce to the command, however, once more becoming monolithic and silent.

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
Khalo seems about to speak to Drinna, when suddenly he hears a voice in Mando'a.

<<Not for long.>>

Khalo calls back to the heavy voice. Yet there is a quiet command in that call back: 'Wait for your moment'. A little smile touching his features at a plan coming together. Khalo has led LEGIONS of Mandalorians in the past. Surely no one believes that this is the first time Khalo has ever been captured. This will bel ike the others.

...If he plays his cards right.

He narrows his eyes at Drinna then a moment, looking at the officers around Drinna. "Oh good. I would be delighted to speak with /her/ in return. That is...if our gracious hosts are generous indeed." He looks at the officers, a little smirk on his face.

He knows what he's doing.

Back to Drinna herself. "My side of the story, huh? Very well. Are you stepping into my cell or am I being moved?"

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
The officers look none too pleased when it appears Drinna has outright ignored them. They scowl, and fold their arms, thinking the red hed must find herself above listening to a word they had to say.

They're about to address her again when there's a loud thud at the end of the hall. It looks like Revara has somehow managed to get off the berth and is now standing at the window of her room, palms pressed against the glass. Tears are streaming down her face, and Khalo won't need to speak to her to know that she's begging to be freed.

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde finds himself at the CSF station in the Uscru District, having heard that Volken had been arrested. He's somewhat worried, given his behavior at the Outlander Club, that the huge Mandalorian could...well...again not know when to stop once provoked by someone. Police officers, potentially other detainees...not a great mix of people.

There are other familiar presences here, though it's unclear which and where. Currently, he's at reception, but the clerks seem to be having a hard time understanding him. Eventually, one of them goes into the back to fetch Drinna, who seems to be quite popular today, with two other officers already talking to her. Or trying to, anyway.
"Officer Talstri, um...would you happen know a Jedi kid? Not sure what he wants, but he seems to know you."

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Too much is going on. Far too much. And who was that absolute /mountain/ of a man who'd just walked past her. Drinna wasn't easily intimidated but he had been able to.

Drinna pulled her attention from the chaos to look at Khalo, "You stay right here and just talk. Bars stay put, I make notes. Then I leave."

Drinna's attention turns to where Revara was and then scowled at the officers, "/Her/ wishes to speak with him will have to wait. For the love of...get her sedated." Glaring at them Drinna shot them both a look, "Move."

Finally turning to the receptionist she nods, "Yes, I know him. What..." He was never in a place by accident, "If he's here, send him to me. I'll talk to him."

Volken Mons has posed:
Oh so he's one of those.

Volken emits another rumble of impatient discontent but he does easily pick up on the meaning behind Khalo's words easily enough. In a different place, in another time, he might have even reacted negatively to the implied command, authority and experience in the pureblood's voice and demeanor but here and now, it's of mutual benefit to wait and see what he intends to do.

A faint frown creases his face as he looks further down the hallway to see the desperate actions of the imprisoned Revara but aside from the slight shadowed scowl he remains quiet.

"Ma'am..." speaks the lead guard of Volken's entourage, nervous due to the clear annoyance in Drinna at her being pulled in so many directions at once. "This bantha sized brute is the one that fire to and busted up half of The Outlander club in the Lower City. Another Mandalorian. Our forces caught up with him during a skirmish with some idiot bounty hunters."

The explanation is quick and hasty, but done in consideration of the fact that she seems to have the unlucky circumstances of having to deal with a gaggle of mando's.

Volken only emits another a heavy rumbling breath , behind them all, his prison outfit crinkling and straining under the masses of his swelling physique before he casually relaxes it while watching Drinna and Khalo now. "W=w-where do you want him?" asks one guard, unnerved by that sight and refocusing on Drinna though at mention of a young jedi his brow furrows ever so slightly.

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
Course he's one of those.

Khalo has a little chuckle in his voice though as Volken seems to grumble a little bit. Though he steps up to the bars, looking down the way towards Revara as she pleads to be freed. His knuckles crack. Though he hears something...strange from the guards. A Jedi kid?"

...it couldn't be...

But if it is? That kid might be their way out. "Careful boy." He looks to the lead guard. "That brute could tear you to pieces with his bare hands. It'd be entertaining, to say the least, to see if you can fight for your life."

He chuckles, before his gaze shifts to Revara. A slow nod.

He has this covered. Somehow.

Then to Drinna. "Hm. Sounds like you're not very confident in your ability to keep me here. Tell me, do you have the ability to command? It seems like they don't even like you." Playing the con.

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
The officers glance briefly at Khalo, then turn their glare onto Drinna, arms still folded. "I don't recall you outranking us," one of them says, unintimidated. "Or are you just assuming that just because your dad used work here, you get to tell us what to do?"

But while they're insulting Drinna, the door to where Revara is being incarcerated flies open and the female Mandalorian stumbles out, only making it a few steps before collapsing onto the ground. "...F...Fett," she croaks. "He's coming," she says desperately, "I'll do whatever you want. But please...please... do -not- let him take me back to my father.." The officers spring into action, frowning. "Kriff... she shouldn't have made it off the bed..." They scoop up the female Mandalorian and quickly stab her with a hypodermic needle full of sedative before cuffing her and carefully carrying her back to the room.

Cayde Alexis has posed:
"Yes ma'am." The clerk nods obediently and returns to the reception area. Moments later, Cayde is escorted back to the holding area. Those who know him will immediately recognize the young padawan. A brow goes up at the sight of Khalo. Why was he here as well?

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Drinna looked at Volken and tilts her head slightly before eying the nervous guards, "Jumpy aren't you. Especially when holding a 'bantha' sized brute. Perhaps insulting him isn't a wise thing to do." She motioned to a cell across the way, "Tuck him in there. Next time, check where he's to go /before/ bringing him into such a place. There are paperpushers for this kind of thing."

Sighing her attention returned to Khalo, "As if I care whether or not they like me or if you think much of me. If you're not going to talk, I'm done with this conversation."

A smile did craft a way to her lips when she saw Cayde,[Hey you.] She signed, [You sure pick the strangest times to show up. Please say you're not here for my dad - again]

Volken Mons has posed:
Well now, this has become much more interesting and much more potentially chaotic. Volken's eyes narrow to near slits as he hears the plea from the woman as she's wrestled with and sedated once again. The pendulum in his mind begins to swing, trying to determine where it might fall. His opinions of the orthodox way of things, the state of affairs on Mandalore...is complicated to say the least.

He's not a fan and had made his own moves to operate independantly.

Now this woman begs for her freedom. <<....Are you taking her back?>> he rumbles, simply. Speaking in their language once again to address Khalo as Drinna turns to verbally chastise the guards who have been mishandling - and insulting him from the sounds of it.

Itis Cayde's arrival that distracts him from what he was about to do immediately and he looks with a slight double take, his stoic demeanor actually broken now as he considers the padawan's presence with wider eyes and a shocked expression.

Meanwhile the guards attempt to push him again, and then again when they can't move him, and then on the third time he finally takes a step, beginning to be moved away towards another cell door just across that hall and facing Khalo, albiet it is indeed almost looking like they're herding him as he's still distractedly eyeing Cayde.

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
Khalo looks at Drinna, a little smile touching his face.

He doesn't give a whiff about her.

But Cayde? Now /that/ is a little bit strange. Khalo lifts his hands then, and seems to be signing to the young Jedi. Funny seeing you here. Though his eyes briefly shift to Revara as she pleads and begs him not to allow her to return to her father. A look in his eyes, though as Volken communicates with him? Khalo simlpy speaks in their native tongue:

<<Not to her father. It's my understanding he's a cruel weasel. In fact...I'm going to need your help to get her out of here. How strong are you?>>

A challenge in his voice, perhaps. Khalo was pretty strong, but he's /certain/ that Volken is stronger. If Khalo's door opens?

Well, better hope a lot of things go wrong.

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
As if there weren't already enough going on, just as Drinna starts engaging Cayde in conversation, yet another Mandalorian graces the scene.

Khalo will recognize him, immediately. He is a House Vizsla dog, a twin from the clan Von'egel. Which one, the elder Mandalorian won't really be able to tell from this distance. It won't really matter though - both are as disgraceful as a broken oath. One had once suggested selling the Dark Saber when House Viszla had run low on funds, while the other was reputed to have slept with nearly every Mandalorian female noble and then some.

As for Volken, the hulking fellow might have heard some rumors of Von'egel infamy, but nothing that would have seemed founded in fact.

However, the CSF officers won't know him from a regular Republic citizen - the tall, skinny, fair skinned baron is not wearing his beskar and doesn't look armed. He sweeps into the hall, wearing the smile of a prince in front of courtiers, his dark brown curls bouncing lightly as he approaches Drinna. He fixes the female CSF officer with sapphire blue eyes, his grin curving a little wider. "I beg your pardon, ma'am, I don't mean to interrupt. But may I have a word?" he says, his tone oozing with charm.

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde shakes his head at Drinna. Although it's a bit vague what exactly he means by that. He looks over at Volken, and his focus suddenly shifts toward the large Mandalorian, as he attempts to assess the man's state of mind.

...he doesn't like what he finds.

The padawan's gaze flicks down to the cuffs currently holding the hulking giant's arms together, and his hand goes to his belt where his lightsaber is although he doesn't yet draw it. He seems entirely focused on the Clan Mons foundling, and doesn't appear to have noticed Khalo's words to him.

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Drinna furrows her brow at the pretty face that suddenly appeared,"Can you...have a word?" The change in scenario caused her to merely blink at the man, "A word, with me? Right now?" Looking him over she lifted a brow, "Are you lost?" Briefly Drinna lifts a finger, "One moment.

The motion by Cayde hadn't been lost on her and she'd picked up on far too many knowing glances amidst their language in the past bit. Why hadn't she learned Mando when offered the chance. Drinna looked at Cayde and acknowledged two truths in that moment. One - she was out of the loop with whatever was going on between them. Two - she was in the middle of what was going on between them. Taking a step backwards away from the cages and the center of the scenario, Drinna looks at Cayde and quickly signed, [You turn that thing on in here, I'm going to have a lot of paperwork.]

If she was in the lower levels, she'd have ordered a drink and watched. However she wasn't down below in her shadow persona. Up here she was an officer and there were expectations of her, "Officers, move him. Please." She looked at Khalo, Volken, Caine and Cayde. This was turning into a very cramped space.

Volken Mons has posed:
<<Strong . Getting stronger. But...this has gotten more complicated...>> murmurs Volken, back turned to Khalo slightly as he's being effectively cattle prodded towards his cell. Looks like the padawan has just made friends on both sides of the track!

But either way, the giant is aware. Cayde is not likely to simply sit back and while the behemoth is over confident, he's also without his beskar and ideal tools. He's not invulnerable.

Yet, he would add.

But whatever they do they'll have to do ..well..now and swiftly .as once he's behind bars the ability for him to reasonably use his physique will be much more challenged .

He grunts, annoyed at the continued pushing. His huge arms tense, wrists beginning to creak and huge arms swelling slightly before relaxing as if changing his mind mid stream of thought..

Tthen, as if being prodded into the cell was one prod too many, he suddenly reacts by spinning on his heels in an attempt to massively shoulder check into the guard right behind him with the full bullish force of his vast body and strength....attempting to send the guard stumbling and crashing backwards towards the cell doors and bars holding Khalo.

Unfortunantely the position wasn't quite as ideal as he'd like and while his force is tremendous, the impact i smore of a clipping one. Still, it's Volken, so It's enough force to cause a stumble, maybe even a fall but not asviolent a directed shove as he wanted.

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
<<Good.>>

Khalo remarks to Volken with a little smirk, but any and all attention suddenly goes towards one specific person. His eyes go wide. House Vizsla's own dog. A twin of Von'egel. Thatbastard has the GAUL to show his face here? The /stupidity/? Khalo stands up to his full height, lifting his chin as he approaches the bars to slam his head against the metal to get a better view of Caine.

"Von'egel!" He roars in nothing short of absolute hatred.

Come on...get him closer.

"Ni Kelir at kyr'amur gar bal wear gar taakur guuror!"

What Khalo said in the Mando'a tongue? Well, lets just say Khalo just made a death threat to Caine that would make even some of the most hardened of their number shiver a little. Eyes gaze to Drinna. "If you take ANYTHING away from this incident, you /will not/ listen to this filth."

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
The curly haired baron laughs. "Well, yes, of course. There isn't really anyone else worth talking to here, actually. And if you don't mind, I'd like to have many more than just one word... with you," he says, his nobleman's accent coming through particularly strong as he gives her a doe eyed look.

"Oh, I suppose you could say that. I am looking for a particular Mandalorian -- Revara Solstice? I heard she was here. My name is Jean Beauchampeux, and one could say that I am a bounty hunter from Corellia, but I dabble in a variety of professions and do whatever is necessary to get by. Anyway, I'm here to collect her and take her back to Mandalore. Her father, the one who placed the bounty on her head, wants her home, naturally."

He spares Volken and the CSF officers restraining him a brief look, sidestepping slightly to avoid being crashed into. He is just the barest hint closer to Khalo now, but still out of arms reach. While Drinna is distracted with Cayde, he turns to give Khalo a poutish, pitying, disdainful look. There is zero compassion in his expression. He is insulting Khalo, regarding him the same way one might regard a naughty akk dog which had been put outside as punishment.

He glances over at Drinna, grinning again. "Do you have -any- idea what this man is going on about?" he says with a laugh. "It appears he's -so- angry he's uttering nonsense. Certainly looks like you could use a hand around here..."

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde was focused on Volken, and trying keep him under control. When the giant Mandalorian shoulder slams the guard and causes him to stumble backward, he tries to grab him with the Force and prevent him from going hurtling into Khalo's cell. Unfortunately, the other man's angry outburst distracts him, causing him to unintentionally fling the guard toward Caine instead.

However, he doesn't even seem aware of this fact, as his focus is suddenly redirected onto Khalo, whose raging fury simply cannot be ignored by the young, sensitive telepath. Was that a head slam? No no no...he can't let any of the prisoners cause harm to anyone, including themselves!

The angry bounty hunter will immediately feel another presence in his mind, attempting to force the anger down.
<Khalo...don't...please...> It sounded like...his mother's voice? Or was it his father's? Or both? It's quite confusing. Neither made any sense...
<He's not worth it.> No, this had nothing to do with his parents. It was definitely the Jedi.

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Not that she was listening to Khalo, but after barking at the officers who were still /not/ getting Volken into his cell, Drinna turneed to glare at Caine, "Get out, now." Whatever his purpose was in her space, it wasn't worth inciting chaos, which was exactly what his presence was doing. She was just supposed to be doing rounds and reports. That's it.

Her attention moved to Cayde,[Do I need to remove you too?]

Volken Mons has posed:
Well that was embaressing. That should have sent the guard hurtling into Khalo's cell for the other Mando to reach out for the guard or guards sent his way but instead it only resulted in...well what for -Volken- is a light shove. It still sent the guard sprawling and then hurtled by the surprise attempt of the young jedi in training to intervene but it was far, far from what the immense Mandalorian truly intended.

The move does result in him facing towards the hallway though, massive back and his arms and bound hands behind him now facing the walls while his torso looms huge over the recovering guards and the rest in the hall before he can be pushed all the way in. This gives Volken his first look at Caine and he blinks a few times, briefly distracted before focusing his attention on himself. His expression sets into a determined one and his mammoth physique reacts. The prison jumpsuit strains dramatically. Seams tearing and ripping along his torso and arms as his biceps swell like BB series droids under his flesh and his forarms and wrists bulge. There is a whining sound as the cuffs and the technology within strains with the mounting pressure...

And then they give way, sundering apart into pieces with part of one cuff dangling uselessly from a massive wrist. Both arms freed, the giant straightens back up to his full height, a slow grin beginning to form on the face shadowed by the messy strands of his long dark hair.

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
Khalo is staring /daggers/ at Caine Von'egel. Like...thek ind of daggers that lookas though Khalo is about to pull the bars apart and attack him where he stands. But he stays right where he is, his eyes focused on the other Mandalorian until he hears something.

What is that?

Is that....His mother's voice? His head immediately /snaps/ towards Cayde, a look of hatred in his eyes. "Stay out of my head, Sorceror." He regards Cayde with imemdiate anger. Khalo does /oddly/ look a little calmer though, ironically enough. He turns then to Caine.

"Wouldn't be the first time Caine's gotten his ass handed to him by a lesser combatant." There you go. Challenge his pride. Drinna's giving orders, but all he needs is Caine to be just a /little/ bit closer.

Then Volken is being an absolute MONSTER.

...and Khalo is smiling. All a part of the plan.

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
Caine's grin widens. "Comes with a fiery temper," he says, "I like it. Mm... but if you are so keen on me leaving, then I shall."

He rolls his eyes after casually glancing over at Khalo. "Said the ass sitting inside a jail cell, not outside of it," He smirks, then looks contemplative. Should he give Khalo what he wants...? It is certainly tempting, and will make a lovely show for the feisty lady cop...

He then leans against the bars of the Khalo's cell, acutely aware that he's making the dagger stored neatly inside his boot as per House Vizsla tradition quite available to the other Mandalorian. "It's really too bad there's no one here to pay your bail," he says pretentiously with a sigh.

And then Volken simply... breaks his cuffs in half. What a disgusting brute.

"Oh," the baron says airily. "I think that's my cue to take what I want and leave." He then turns on his heel and starts heading towards the room where Revara is being kept.

Cayde Alexis has posed:
When Khalo seems to have calmed down at least a bit, Cayde withdraws. But then, as soon as he has, Volken breaks out of his cuffs. It's just one thing after another with these people! As such, he doesn't even notice Drinna's question before he immediately turns his full attention back onto Volken, attempting to force him to stand down and put himself into the cell before any violence broke out.

Now, Volken will see see his own adoptive father the night before his death, then standing in front of him--right here in the middle of the hallway, telling him not to make the same mistakes he did. How bad could it be, anyway? They'd probably just send him away, which was what he'd been planning on doing anyway, right? But if he hurt someone, or stars forbid, got anyone killed...

But then he may realize that none of this makes sense--that wasn't his father! No, the hulking Mandlorian has certainly felt this presence before, albeit it previously wasn't anywhere near as demanding. However, pushing against it is difficult...even painful.

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Drinna backs up, leaning on the wall and just sighs. One lose giant Mando. One caged angry Mando. One annoying pretty boy..whatever he was. One Jedi. This wasn't worth her trouble. So she thought she'd get out of the way and just watch. Arms moved to cross in front of her as she took in the four curiously.

Volken Mons has posed:
The grin on Volken's face drains away, as does the color of his skin. He freezes in place and whatever gloating remark he had in mind, dies on his lips as he stares blankly at a sight only he can see. The vision surges a boiling cauldron of emotions into him, sending him tumbling backwards mentally to the confused foundling that he had once been and he ends up taking a few steps backwards though he does not fully cross into the cell.

The guards, however, recover and one brave soul rushes into the giant, tackling him in the midsection with all the results of a man attempting to lunge into and wrestle a tree within the depths of Endor. Volken barely moves, but staggers back another step until a second guard joins in.

Knocked from his distraction he attempts to reach down and wrap an arm around the first by their movements and the giants emotional disarray conjoin with a serious bout of bad luck and he ends up slipping back yet a few more steps instead of pressing forward as was his original intent.

"Get -out- of my head!" he thunders, sending an burning glare in Cayde's direction. He knows the boy is mute well enough, having encountered him in the situation that led to him being here in the first place -- but the expression on his face should say enough.

"You're only making this harder, boy!"

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
Finally.

Caine Von'egel steps forward in mockery.

Yet while he's talking, his hand reached down lowFor the knife in Caine's shoe, yet he kept complete eye contact. Only when he had retrieved it thanks to the lovely distraction from Volken does he complete the grab. IMMEDIATELY, however, Khalo moves to stab the console to his cell, his eyes looking FULLY pissed off as the bars suddenly unlock, his foot suddenly lifting and KICKING at the door to kick hte door wide open.

Khalo steps out of the cell, blade still in his hand as he looks at Volken. "We get Revara and we leave." He tells the larger Mandalorian, turning his eyes towards Cayde, and past him to Caine. "GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE. I MEAN TO HONOR MY WORD!" Khalo screams after Caine as he twirls his knife into reverse hand.

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
"Come get it yourself~" Caine says, his smirk widening. He then pulls out a blaster, aims it at the raging bull of a Fett, and opens fire, thrice.

He starts to back up, still facing Khalo, but sidesteps, attempting to move behind Volken so as to put the large brute between himself and Khalo.

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde watches as more police officers push into Volken, ever so slowly edging him toward the cell, but not yet completely into it. However, it seems that the visions are only serving to make the hulking Mandalorian angrier--indeed, they change from reincarnations of his father, to memories of the botched job that led to his death, mixed in with some of the worst of the times he'd had under the 'care' of that...wretched doctor.

The padawan sighs...he really didn't want to do this, but it would appear the giant of a man has left him with no choice. He draws his lightsaber, the blade crackling then buzzing into existence at his side. Even as Caine ducks behind Volken, the young Jedi brings the blade up into a defensive position in front of himself, signaling to the larger man that he's ready for a fight should he try anything -other- than going into that cell right behind him. And if that other guy wants to get himself also locked into that cell...well then the police could sort it all out later, right?

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Drinna rubbed the bridge of her nose when the blaster went off. There goes getting out of here without some kind of formal inquiry as to why her blaster wasn't out. The pretty boy was a right pain and he was now on her /very/ bad list. The question on her mind now was how to step in.

The sound of the lightsaber pulled her focus and Drinna pushed off from the wall, "Nope. No. No." She placed herself between Volken and Cayde, [You going to hurt me?] She signed. There was only so much she could get away with letting slide, but this wasn't going to be one of them.

Volken Mons has posed:
"I just wanted to be friends." drawls out Volken's deep voice, languid sounding as if wrestling with some sort of internal conflict. The assault of psychic imagery doesn't help matters. Summoning traumatic images doesn't exactly work in favor of trying to peacefully calm someone down but it does keep him distracted and unable to truly disengage from the guards to go to Khalo's assistance.

It does, perhaps, save at least one of the guards as does Drinna's movements. His huge hand had reached down to grasp for the back of one of the guards and he forces a release while his other arm curls around the torso of the remaining guard, pinning him against his body but he gains no additional ground against the two.

He is, however, prevented from what had been on his mind with that lightsaber ignited - hurtling one of the bodies straight at Cayde. Drinna stepping inbetween them also contributes to that change as well so the giant is forced to consider additional options. Nevermind Khalo going full on rage mode as blaster fire ripples into the hallway.

"Hey, listen. We were just trying to take our leave. " he rumbles out, nevermind his massive bicep bradually swallowing one of the guards up against his torso as he struggles with the other. "Why dont' you just...give our stuff and we'll be out of your hair. No problem. You don't want us here anyway, right? Too much paperwork.."

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
Khalo is like a walking tank. Even without armor, even without any of his equipment, Khalo is walking down that hallway like he intends to brutalize Caine with everything at his dispoal. Which, at this point, became the ENTIRE PRISON. He twirls that dagger in his hand as that blaster fires towards him. A bolt sails over his shoulder. Another is coming for his head but he tilts his head out of the way. The third? The third knicks him right across the shoulder!

"Hnnh!"

He tosses that knife in the air and he catches it by the blade, THROWING it a far distance towards Caine with every intention to stick him with his own knife! "Run while you can." He growls. "There's not enough bolts in that cartrige to kill me."

He's....REALLY mad. "Volken!" Khalo demands of Volken, as if saying 'whoop their asses.'

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Ugh...Cayde sighs when Drinna gets in the way. He shakes his head at her question. Of course he won't hurt her, at least he'll do his best not to. But instead he reaches out with the Force, attempting to shove her aside. However, it's not quite enough to uproot her from the spot or knock her over.

But now that there is a physical obstacle between him and Volken, he again tries to enter the large man's mind, this time attempting to just instill a sense of calm into him and convince him to put the two officers down.
    <This isn't the way...put them down...>

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
Caine laughs. "You're not leaving here with Revara." he says, continuing to back up towards the room where Revara is being kept.

He leans backwards when Khalo throws his knife at him, but doesn't lean back quite far enough. The knife grazes his cheekbone, carving a scarlet stripe lengthwise half a handspan below his eye. He grunts, but otherwise pays it no mind.

"Darling you really need the cavalry in here," the baron calls to Drinna. "This is an -awful- mess..." He then turns suddenly, racing down the hallway to the room where Revara is being kept, kicking the door in...

If Khalo wants to make sure the baron doesn't leave with her, he's going to have to hurry his own ass over there before Caine removes her from the medi-berth.

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Drinna looks at Khalo and Volken, "No, please, don't kick anyone's asses." She said, "You want your stuff, I can get it. Just...put the officer's down. One of them looks like he's going to pee on you."

Drinna glances between Cayde and Volken, "I can't leave to get stuff when you are ...being like this. If I come back to bodies, my ass is on the line."

Volken Mons has posed:
There's that tone of voice again. Volken's eyes narrow and he groans softly. Deep in his heart, he knows he's been playing around somewhat as much as he's been hampered by bad luck and sloppiness... no doubt helped on by the non stop flood of invasive personal imagery in his mind by the young padawan. Instead he's been a Zalorian rock-lions playing with its food and not simply acting on what he's been trained to do.

The latest telepathic pressure isn't helping either and he grimaces and frowns. His hold on the man pinned to his torso slacks just somewhat. His legs kicking against Volken's pillar like thighs as he's hold there by the giants arm while the other officer is lifted up from the ground as if being prepared for a throw.

"Alright, alright.." he drawls out lazily in stark contrast to Khalo's rage. "Fine, fine. fold 'em all in half. But you better remember this on Life Day!"

But then Drinna speaks and Volken pauses. He'd already been slower to act due to Cayde's prompting but Drinna presents an option that could solve this issue. He doesn't really care about Khalo and Caine's feud you see.

He just wants his stuff.

"Oh yeah?" he rumbles. "Alright... I tell you waht. I hold these guys. You -both- go get our things. We leave. Simple. I won't break them. I promise. But...can't make any promises about what -he's- gonna do..."

He nods down the hall towards Khalo and Caine. "So you better move fast...."

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
"I won't kick theirs-" Khalo calls out to Drinna. "Just /his/."

Suddenly, Khalo is in a DEAD sprint as his knife had only managed a flesh wound. For a man of his size? Khalo is WAY faster than he should be. Hes almost a blue compared to Caine. As soon as that foot kicks that door to Revara's cell in?

Khalo is already behind him.

"First you had a brilliant idea to sell the Darksaber. The n, you try to take a woman from me to her abusive father. Then...you have the /stones/ to try and run from me. Go ahead."

He's seething.

"Pick another good idea before I send what's left of you to your brother."

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
When Khalo bursts into the room, he'll find Caine boosting Revara up gently with one arm as he leans over to kiss her very tenderly on the forehead.

Then he scoops her up bridal style and turns to face the other Mandalorian, who is blocking the doorway.

"You speak as if you know her," he scoffs, "when in reality, you know nothing. You have no idea what's good for her, just what's good for you."

His eyes narrow. "Now. You are going to move aside, and let me walk out of here. And if you don't --" his chin lifts haughtily. "You will end up harming the very person you came to save. Which I will not forgive you for."

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde is beginning to grow frustrated with this situation. He's thrown every mind trick he has at Volken, at least what he knows how to do without actually doing any real harm, and yet the giant, stubborn man still won't drop the officers...even with Drinna offering to let him walk? No, he's -definitely- not leaving to go get his equipment. Besides, he doesn't even know where it is.

He finally shuts the lightsaber off, staring up at Volken with wide, pleading eyes. The oversized Mandalorian may have guessed that he must be older than he looks, but at this moment he truly looks as if he must be like twelve. [Please...put them down] he signs.

Drinna Talstri has posed:
Drinna relaxes once the lightsaber subsides, "Alright," She looks at Volken,"I'll go and get your items." Turning to Cayde she signs, [It's just through that door and down the hall. Please, behave.]

Taking off she runs to the equipment storage near the cell blocks. What would have taken her a ton of paperwork was reduce to single glance at her name tag and the lockers were opened. Drinna threw the items into individual canvas bags, throwing them over her shoulder. She just hoped that when returned, nobody was dead. Or at least nobody she liked.

Volken Mons has posed:
The giant Mandalorian stares back at Cayde, not complying immediately but his grip slowly loosens on the struggling officers. Then, Drinna makes her move and Volken finally looks away and rolls his eyes as she dashes down the hallway.

He stares at Cayde after she's left. Clearly there's a trust issue here now. Not that ..he -knew- the young padawan well beforehand but..well.. he's like that. He latched onto the mute out of curiousity and now that's landed him here with several bouts of invasive telepathic memory summoning for his troubles.

The bodies of the guards are dropped limply to the ground and they begin gasping for air before scamping away to try and get to Cayde and awayf rom the giant.

Volken's nostrils flare as he fumes, searching for something to take his building frustrations out on despite things seeming to go as he desired.

His massive arms reach out as he turns towards the half open cell door. His physique swells, sinew piling ontop of sinew as his physical gifts, both enhanced and natural, begin to fire up. His sleeves do indeed begin shredding as does the prison garb on his torso as the 'disgusting brute' literally wrenches the cell door apart with a sound of metal twisting and grinding and sparks flying. "HRNGH!"

The metal contorts in his grip as he twists it fully free and then turns, facing Cayde with a sneering frown on his face now as if to say 'That could have been any of you.' with his stern gaze.

He then he turns and bellows loudly down the hallway.

"LET'S GO! We're LEAVING!"

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
"I don't care."

Khalo looks at Caine as he crouches to pick up the knife. He twirls it so he has it by the blade. For a moment, he's staring daggers at Caine as he tries to play Khalo for a fool. But as soon as he finishes talking?

Khalo throws his knife, intending with every effort to hit Caine in the eyeball. Instead? He ends up chucking the blade low, hitting Revara's unconscious form with a knife to the arm. Good thing she's extremely sedated!

For a moment, Khalo looks alarmed.

But then he /smiles/.

That will probably lead to the same effect. Caine drops her, Khalo gets his hands on the traitor himself.

Regrettable, but more than one way to skin a cat.

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
When the knife embeds itself in Revara's arm, Caine doesn't quite drop her. Instead, he removes the knife with a kind of terrifying calm, and places her gently on the chair next to the mediberth. Then he looks up at Khalo slowly, an unquenchable rage brewing behind his sapphire eyes.

"You will die for that," he whispers, his tone deadly.

Then, he sheaths the knife, and without warning, lifts up the mediberth and attempts to hurl it at Khalo.

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Cayde relaxes when Volken finally puts the officers down. But then he tenses again when the man tears the cell door free, ready to act should he decide to try using it to hurt someone else. But fortunately, he doesn't.

Oh, he knows that threatening look. Could it have been him? Maybe. But Volken shouldn't -want- to test his luck in that department...

He turns to Drinna, now. [Not here...Outside] he signs, glancing at the bag full of Volken's equipment, then at Volken, and hoping she will understand that he means that she shouldn't let him don everything in here.

But he frowns, as he's starting to take notice of the raging emotions swirling about in the vicinity of Revara's cell. He turns, seeing that the door is open again. And Khalo's cell is also open and empty. Kriff...!

Cayde rushes down the hallway stops in front of the broken cell door, just in time to see Caine trying to throw the berth at Khalo. It swings up, but stops dead in its tracks halfway there, hanging in the air for a fraction of a second before it drops straight back down, landing squarely down on its side between the two fighters.

Drinna Talstri has posed:
[I'm not stupid] Drinna signed sarcastically. There was no way she was giving /any/ Mando's their armor inside. She was /trying/ to get them outside. That was until Cayde took off and her stomach sank,"....great." She looked at Volken,"I don't suppose you can help me." No, not that was a stupid thing. Her hands ran through her hair anxiously. Did she let them just fight it out?

Looking down at the gear she kicked a wall and then dropped it, "I hate my life." Taking off the way Cayde had gone. As she ran, her hand deftly unclipped her blaster and pulled it out.

Volken Mons has posed:
Khalo didn't answer his bellow. Both of the other Mandalorians were in the cell.

Sooooo...this means they were probably fighting to the death. Great.

The giant still eyes Cayde. Worry about 'testing' the padawan is far from his mind. Indeed, the very ancient echoes of conflict was -between- these 'sorcerers' and the Mandalorians. Armor or no, he would have 'tested' the padawan if he felt it prudent to do so. It simply wasn't....and...he didn't want to.

However the unfolding chaos does draw a groan from him. "Wait!" he yells at Cayde, too late, as he rushes away. Then Drinna is there and has indeed, wisely dropped the gear while also running after the others.

. No doubt his particular weapons, his massive person sized twin repeater cannons, are being taken elsewhere to be given to him but at least his armor is here though he can put it all on fast enough to do what has to be done.

He settles for grabbing his helmet and then a single gauntlet armored with his repulsor blaster. These he sweeps on while grabbing his torso set and roughly slipping it on as he begins running after the others.

For a -split- second he thought of just taking it all and leaving. He had reasoned with himself some time ago to no longer be bothered with...all of -this-. This just reeks of the things that made him leave after his foster father was killed. But....it's hard to shake what's been instilled in you and as Drinna kept her word, he's keeping his. They are leaving.

"Get -back-." he commands, "The only thing that can get between two Mandalorians who are fighting is a bigger Mandalorian. Stay out of their heads, you'll just make them madder. Back me up!"

WIth that, the giant moves to enter the room behind Drinna to assess the situation.

Khalo Fett (251) has posed:
"About damn time you grew some stones to do it yourself!."

Khalo snarled as his life was threatened, but as soon as Caine tried to pick up that mediberth and HURL it at Khalo? The Fett looked ready to catch it bash it right out of the air, but the Jedi was using his sorcery. That projectile hangs in the air.

And it sets itself between the fighters.

With Cayde and Volken and Drina at his back, Khalo stares daggers at Caine.

"I gave my word, Caine. I'm not letting you take her back."

He clenches his fist. "Our reckoning can wait. But she is /not/ leaving with you. By the Creed." He starts to approach Revara, hoping to pick her up unless he's stopped.

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
"Over my dead body," he snarls back, "or preferably, -yours-."

And then the jetpack hidden by his cape suddenly stutters to life, and the young baron aims to charge Khalo, then grab him and slam him against any and every obstacle or nearby object within his flight path, including the mediberth that Cayde had dropped in between the two of them.

Cayde Alexis has posed:
Volken's demands go ignored by the young padawan. Cayde definitely does not stay out of their heads, in fact, he does the exact opposite, and enters their minds and attempt to force them both to fall into a deep, deep, sleep. Unfortunately, he isn't able to push through their blind rage at each other. However, it may be enough to cause them to feel a bit lethargic, and end up getting shot by the CSF officer...

He sighs when it fails, going over to the chair were Revara is then and starting to try moving her to another cell or somewhere else where she'd be less likely to get caught in the crossfire of this deathmatch.

Caine Von'egel (271) has posed:
The young baron drags the other Mandalorian from the room where Revara is being kept, pulling him out into the hallway where Drinna, Cayde and Volken are waiting. Cayde's attempt to calm him fall flat, but do cause him to lose focus to a degree.

So when the young female CSF officer opens fire on Caine twice, he fails to dodge and one of his thrusters goes out. It fizzles dead with a hiss, and the inequality of thruster power causes him to spiral out of control. The flames from the remaining thruster brush some of the furniture, setting a chair and wooden file cabinet aflame. The destruction is furthered when the thruster Drinna had damaged starts leaking fuel onto the already flickering fires ...

Seconds later, the sound of two windows being broken in succession will puncture the noise of crackling flame. Volken, Drinna, and Cayde will then find the two Mandalorians gone.
