Sense Life

The Jedi is able to sense the presence of life through the Force, and glean information about that life. The Jedi can use this power to not only detect if life forms are present, but gain information about species, health, age, Force Sensitivity, and general proximity and direction. This power can be used to target specific groups or individuals for the purpose of tracking. It is modified by proximity and relationship, and opposed by Conceal (Force); only Force Users may actively resist this power.

Base Difficulty: 15

Benchmarks

• 1 - 14: Failed attempt, no effect
• 15 - 20: Detect the presence of a living target, but no further details.
• 21- 25: Detect the presence of a living target and its age and species.
• 26 - 30: Detect the presence of a living target, its species, age, health, and general location.
• 31+: Detect the presence of a living target, its species, age, health, general location and Force sensitivity.

Modifiers

• +5 to difficulty if target is short range
• +10 to difficulty if target is long range
• +5 to character’s roll if target has a friendly relationship with the user
• +10 to character’s roll if target has an intimate relationship with the user
• +5 to difficulty if target has a poor relationship with the user
• +10 to difficult if target has a hated relationship with the user
